The limited-edition revival of the movie was scheduled to start at midnight. With half an hour to go, Roy and the others weren't in a rush to find their seats. Instead, they struck up a conversation with the three ticket sellers.
They were all around the same age, so naturally, they had a lot to talk about.
Roy learned that the woman with the somewhat "scene kid" hairstyle was called Rachel, and the other was Bridget. Both were new hires who had just been recruited.
The young male ticket seller was Sully, who had been working there for a year, making him the veteran.
All three of them were young people who had come to Hollywood from all over the country to pursue their dreams of becoming stars. They worked part-time to earn a living while looking for acting opportunities in Hollywood.
No wonder all three ticket sellers were quite attractive. The area around Hollywood really did attract beautiful young people from all over the world.
Hearing about their dreams, Penny couldn't help but sigh.
"I originally thought about coming to Hollywood to be an actress too, but reality hit me hard."
Roy was actually a bit curious about what had happened to Penny after she left her hometown, but seeing that she didn't seem to want to talk about it, he didn't ask.
Heather then asked,
"Are there many customers at the cinema tonight?"
Bridget shrugged.
"You guys are the earliest ones here."
Business was really bad!
However, as soon as Bridget finished speaking, a middle-aged man dressed in biker gear, riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, appeared at the cinema entrance.
Behind the middle-aged man was a middle-aged woman. They seemed to be a couple.
"Well, here comes the second batch of customers," Penny remarked.
The biker-dressed middle-aged man saw Heather and Penny next to Roy and couldn't help but whistle, which made Roy frown.
However, after the woman behind him pinched his waist, he immediately composed himself.
"Sorry, just a natural reaction! Hey, bro, are they all your girlfriends?"
"Yes!" Roy replied.
The biker middle-aged man gave Roy a thumbs-up and then bought his tickets and entered the screening room.
Okay, so this guy was a bit crude, but he didn't seem too bad. Roy decided to let it slide.
Immediately after, a child suddenly stood at the cinema entrance. Seeing this in the middle of the night was quite startling.
Penny was now a bit creeped out.
"Who is that kid?"
"Kid? What kid?"
Bridget leaned over the counter to take a look and immediately shouted angrily,
"Mario, what are you doing here!"
It turned out that the child was Bridget's younger brother, who had recently come to Los Angeles to visit her.
The little boy pushed the door open, holding a banknote in his hand.
"Sister, I want to see a movie!"
"No way! This movie tonight is rated R, you can't watch it! Don't make me lose my job! Now, you go home right now!"
Amidst Bridget's scolding, the little boy dejectedly left the cinema.
As soon as the child left, another young man arrived. Bridget's eyes lit up when she saw him, clearly someone she knew.
"Josh, why are you so late?"
The two hugged warmly, clearly a couple.
"Sorry, I got held up a bit on the way! Oh, by the way, I think I just saw your brother. He looked upset!"
"Don't worry about him, I just gave him a telling-off. Come on, let me get you a ticket!"
It seemed Josh was also here to watch the movie and was planning to watch it with Bridget.
Because there weren't many customers tonight, and they would close after the midnight showing, Sully agreed to let Bridget leave her post early.
Roy checked the time and saw that it was almost time for the movie to start. So, he bought popcorn and a soda, and with Heather and Penny, followed Bridget and Josh into the screening room.
"Rachel, why don't you go watch the movie too? I can handle things here by myself."
Hearing this, the woman with the scene hairstyle was a bit tempted. She did want to see the supposedly rare horror movie, but she was a little embarrassed.
"Wouldn't that be bad?"
"It's okay, I don't think there will be any other customers tonight."
Just as she finished speaking, another young couple walked in.
"Hey, Rachel, are there any interesting movies on today?"
These two seemed to know Rachel.
"You guys came at the perfect time! There's a limited-edition horror movie being re-released tonight!"
"Whoa, awesome! Two tickets, please!"
Then, Rachel went into the screening room with her two friends.
After everyone had left, Sully's expression suddenly turned cold. He glanced at his wristwatch and began to mutter to himself.
"It's time!"
Sully walked into the cinema's projection room. It turned out he wasn't just a ticket seller but also the projectionist, holding multiple roles.
After taking out a film reel from a heavily secured copy box protected by several locks, Sully placed the reel on the projector and started playing the film.
He glanced at the time; it was exactly 12 o'clock.
"Perfect timing!"
Sully revealed a strange smile, then quickly left the projection room and even went outside the cinema to lock the main door and hang up a "Closed" sign.
What was happening outside was still unknown to everyone sitting in the screening room.
Bridget and Rachel and their companions sat in the center of the screening room, the best spot for viewing.
Roy, Heather, and Penny, on the other hand, sat at the very back of the screening room, their minds clearly not on the movie.
The biker middle-aged man and his girlfriend sat a few rows in front of Roy.
The movie officially began playing. Roy initially wanted to watch the beginning. If it turned out to be boring, he could always play some "cinema games" with Heather and Penny.
Unexpectedly, it was a black and white movie, quite old judging by its style.
Roy didn't pay much attention at first, but as he watched, he actually found it decent and even forgot about playing games with Heather and Penny.
Luckily, the two girls were also engrossed in the movie, except their hands were still habitually placed on the "gear shift."
The movie's general plot was about four young and beautiful girls on a road trip. Because they hadn't calculated their gasoline supply properly, they ran out of gas and had to seek help at a farm.
Unexpectedly, this farm was inhabited by a family of deranged killers. So, the four beautiful girls had to use their wits to outsmart the family of deranged killers and get gasoline to escape the farm.
Yeah, a pretty classic American slasher film trope!
At the beginning of the screening, there was some noise and chatter, but as the plot progressed, everyone became immersed in the movie.
As Roy watched, he gradually felt that something was off. Although the movie was in black and white, the filming techniques and the actors' acting style didn't seem like those of the black and white era. He began to suspect that the movie was actually filmed in modern times and then intentionally converted to black and white.
The so-called limited-edition horror movie might be some kind of movie promotion strategy, just like that famous hoax movie "The Blair Witch Project."
Roy shared this thought with Heather and Penny, and the two girls agreed with his opinion.
However, even if it was a promotional strategy, the quality of this movie was still quite good.
Suddenly, a scream came from the front – it was Bridget.
Just as a bloody scene was playing on the screen, Bridget's scream startled everyone.
"Bridget, what happened?"
Bridget answered her boyfriend in a trembling voice.
"Just now, just now something touched my foot under the seat!"
Hearing this, Josh curiously bent down to look under the seat and was also startled.
There was actually a person lying under the seat!
Because the lights were turned off when the movie started playing, Josh didn't immediately see who was lying there.
After observing carefully, he realized it was Bridget's younger brother.
"Mario, what are you doing here?"
Yeah, Mario wasn't off fixing pipes; he'd actually appeared under a seat in the screening room.
But this wasn't too strange, after all, Luigi had gone to assassinate the CEO of the healthcare company.
Mario: Luigi did it too!

Bridget was very angry and pulled her brother out with one hand, pressing him into a chair.
Yeah, a sister might not be able to open a bottle cap outside, but she can definitely easily unscrew her brother's skull.
"Mario! Didn't I tell you to go home?"
Mario lowered his head, a little scared, but Bridget standing up made the biker middle-aged man behind them unhappy.
"Hey, you're blocking my view!"
"Sorry!"
Bridget quickly crouched down, glaring fiercely at Mario.
"I'm talking to you!"
Mario was overwhelmed by his sister's aura and was about to cry.
Luckily, Bridget's boyfriend Josh stepped forward to speak up for his future brother-in-law.
"Come on, let it go. Mario just wants to watch the movie."
Bridget was still a little angry, but out of respect for Josh, she didn't scold her brother.
"Hmph, didn't I tell you? This is an R-rated movie, there are bloody and nude scenes, kids can't watch it! You go home right now!"
At this moment, the scene kid girl Rachel chuckled.
"Come on, Bridget, didn't you sneak a peek at R-rated DVDs at home when you were little? If Mario wants to watch, let him watch. I'm just afraid he'll wet the bed tonight after watching it!"
This made the other young people laugh, and for a moment, the screening room was filled with laughter.
"Bridget, it's already past 12 o'clock. It's dangerous for your brother to go home alone. Why don't you let him stay here?"
What Josh said made sense, so Bridget had no choice but to leave her brother behind, albeit with a pout.
Maybe it was because they drank too much soda, but before the movie had even reached its halfway point, Rachel's couple friends wanted to go to the restroom.
"Rachel, we're going to the restroom, we'll be right back."
"Go ahead, go ahead!"
Rachel was eating popcorn, completely immersed in the movie's plot.
At this moment, a man holding a classic chainsaw and wearing a pig's head mask appeared on the big screen.
His burly figure exuded a sense of oppression. The four beautiful girls looked exceptionally fragile and vulnerable as they were chased by the pig-headed masked killer, making people worry about their fate.
Then, the camera angle changed, suddenly becoming a first-person perspective shot, seemingly from the pig-headed masked killer's point of view.
Accompanied by the constantly shaking first-person perspective and heavy breathing sounds, the audience watching the movie became even more tense.
However, Bridget felt something was strange because the scene in the shot looked very much like the cinema's restroom.
"Rachel, don't you think this scene looks a lot like our cinema's restroom?"
Rachel hadn't paid attention at first, but after Bridget pointed it out, she also felt it was quite similar.
"It really does look a bit like it!"
Suddenly, two familiar people appeared on the screen – it was Rachel's couple friends who had just said they were going to the restroom.
The man and woman on the screen weren't actually going to relieve themselves; they wanted to engage in some exciting restroom play. Both of them had already taken off their upper garments.
Although erotic and bloody elements are common in R-rated movies, Bridget immediately covered her brother's eyes.
"Kids can't watch this!"
But another problem arose: why were Rachel's friends in the movie?
Roy sensed something was wrong. He began to suspect that he had entered the story of some movie.
This was too outrageous!
He had just experienced the Willie's Restaurant incident the day before yesterday, had a quiet day yesterday, and now today he was dragged into a horror movie story?
Roy was speechless. Then, he patted Heather and Penny on the shoulders.
"We're in trouble!"
"Is it the movie?"
"Yeah, the situation isn't clear yet, but you guys should get the cursed daggers ready first."
On the screen, the unsuspecting couple, in the midst of their intimacy, were sawed in half at the waist by the pig-headed masked killer. The guy sawed them into pieces in a frenzy.
This close-up shot was incredibly realistic, as if they were watching someone being sawed into several pieces with their own eyes.
You should know that even in R-rated movies, the level of gore is limited, otherwise it would become the more restrictive NC-17 rating. Movies with this rating can only be watched by adults, and many cinemas don't even show them.
Moreover, as an expert in chainsaws, Roy could be sure that the pig-headed masked killer was definitely sawing through real flesh and blood.
The scene on the screen terrified Bridget and the others. Then, the scene changed back to a normal perspective, and the setting returned to the previous farm.
"Should we... should we go check the restroom?"
Rachel hesitated, starting to worry about her friends.
Bridget nodded.
"Let's go take a look!"
A large group, including the biker middle-aged man and his girlfriend, as well as Roy and his companions, all left their seats to go and investigate the restroom.
Arriving at the restroom door, the group saw blood flowing out. The scene inside made even Roy, who had seen his share of things, frown slightly.
"H-how could this be?"
Fear spread through the crowd. Except for Roy, Heather, and Penny, who were already somewhat accustomed to encountering such things, the others felt weak-kneed and were trembling all over.
Just at this moment, the sound of a chainsaw starting up echoed in the hallway. Everyone saw a tall figure appear at the end of the hallway.
It was the pig-headed masked killer from the movie!
The roar of the chainsaw grew louder, making Bridget and the others even more panicked. But at this moment, someone stood up.
Don't get the wrong idea, it was the biker middle-aged man. This guy was surprisingly brave, standing in front of everyone and glaring angrily at the pig-faced killer.
"Where did you come from, monster! If you have the guts, take off that mask and let me see what you ugly freak looks like!"
However, a moment of courage couldn't change the power imbalance between the two sides. The pig-headed masked killer was a physical evil spirit and also had a chainsaw as a weapon.
So, when the pig-headed masked killer was provoked and charged forward with the chainsaw, the biker middle-aged man's fate was sealed.
At the critical moment, Roy stepped forward and pushed the biker middle-aged man aside, facing the chainsaw swung down by the pig-headed masked killer.
Bridget (Rebecca Brandes)
Chapter 117: Curse Copy
Sidestepping the chainsaw's downward chop, Roy then slid to avoid its horizontal slash.
By this time, Roy had already gotten behind the pig-headed mask killer. He then kicked out, sending the guy sprawling face-first onto the ground.
This fellow was much bigger than Roy, clearly a unit built for strength, but his agility was far inferior to Roy's.
That's the benefit of the "Water Bucket" build. Besides having exceptionally high constitution, Roy's other attributes were all quite balanced, without any obvious weaknesses.
Roy originally wanted to snatch the chainsaw from the pig-headed mask killer, but unexpectedly, the guy didn't cooperate, stubbornly holding onto the chainsaw and trying to fight back.
This infuriated Roy. Still dare to resist, huh?
He landed a punch on the back of the pig-headed mask killer's head. This would be a foul in a boxing match, and an ordinary person would be killed instantly by Roy's punch.
However, the pig-headed mask killer only bounced his head off the ground once, looking a bit dazed.
Immediately after, Roy twisted the pig-headed mask killer's arm, finally managing to snatch the chainsaw.
This series of actions made Briquette and the others start to wonder who the real maniac was.
"Go to hell!"
Roy skillfully started the chainsaw's motor and swung it downwards, but at this moment, the pig-headed mask killer lying on the ground suddenly vanished.
The chainsaw in Roy's hand also disappeared at the same time. If it weren't for the shredded remains of the couple's bodies in the restroom, it would have all seemed like a hallucination.
Briquette belatedly watched everything unfold.
"He... how did he disappear?"
"No idea."
Roy's expression was a bit grim. If this pig-headed mask killer could teleport, it would be quite troublesome.
Rachel snapped out of her daze.
"Forget about how that guy disappeared, let's quickly get out of here and call the police!"
The scene-kid with the spiky blonde hair was the first to run towards the movie theater exit. The others suddenly realized what to do and followed.
"Where's Sully?"
Reaching the movie theater's ticket hall, they realized that Sully was missing. What was worse was that the door seemed to be locked, and no matter how hard they pushed, it wouldn't open.
"Let me handle this!"
Roy stepped forward and punched the glass door. This punch not only failed to break the glass, but it didn't even cause the slightest vibration.
This was very wrong!
Roy had 33 points in strength. Even tempered glass could be shattered with one punch, let alone this glass door remaining completely still.
It was as if... as if the glass door was fixed to the space itself!
"We're trapped in an alternate dimension!"
Roy came to a conclusion, but not everyone believed him.
"What nonsense are you talking about? It must be that you guys aren't strong enough!"
Saying this, the raging middle-aged man picked up a nearby chair and started smashing it against the glass door with all his might, but the result was the same. The glass door didn't budge.
The raging middle-aged man also failed, causing fear to spread once again.
Josh couldn't help but take out his phone to dial 911, but as expected, there was no signal at all.
Rachel desperately tugged at her afro.
"Are we going to be trapped here forever?"
"It's not time to despair yet! Briquette, Rachel, are you familiar with Sully?"
Hearing Roy suddenly mention Sully surprised the two blonde girls.
"Not really. We're just regular colleagues. We only talk during work hours, and we basically have no contact after work. What's wrong?"
Briquette answered Roy.
"I have a feeling this guy is a bit off! Did he bring the copy of the movie that's playing now?"
Briquette shook her head. She didn't know the specifics, but Rachel knew some things.
"I think so! When I came to work yesterday morning, I saw Sully bringing the copy to the movie theater, saying they would re-release this movie today!"
Sure enough!
"There must be something wrong with the copy. Maybe it can change the current situation!"
Roy's words ignited hope in everyone's hearts, and they followed him towards the projection room.
Through the remaining film on the reel, it could be seen that the movie was already halfway through, but no one was in the mood to continue watching it now.
The impulsive raging middle-aged man picked up a folding stool next to him and smashed it against the projector. However, this action sent him flying backwards.
Things were indeed not that simple. The projector seemed to be protected by some mysterious force.
"Fuck! What the hell is going on!"
The raging middle-aged man cursed loudly, helped up by his girlfriend.
However, after experiencing the sudden disappearance of the pig-headed mask killer and the inability to open the door, this current situation didn't surprise everyone too much.
"What should we do?"
Everyone's eyes focused on Roy. His previous actions had earned their trust.
Roy stepped forward and reached out to test it. He found that the surface of the projector seemed to have some kind of invisible air wall, blocking his hand.
Immediately after, Roy threw a full-force punch.
A muffled sound came from the air, but the projector remained completely still. Roy, on the other hand, was knocked back a step.
"This is a bit interesting!"
Roy realized that the protective force on the projector was specifically targeting physical attacks.
Thinking about it, that made sense. Ordinary people could only resort to physical attacks. As long as that was defended against, basically 99% of the damage could be avoided.
But Roy still had a way.
"Heather, Penny, let me borrow your daggers!"
Besides the regular physical damage of daggers, the cursed twin daggers also possessed the power of curses.
Grasping the cursed dagger tightly, he stabbed towards the projector. Although the air wall was still blocking Roy, the power of the curse was slowly eroding the defensive force.
The speed was slow, but the effect was visible to the naked eye, giving Roy confidence.
So, Roy also grasped the other cursed dagger with his other hand and stabbed towards the projector. With two streams of cursed power eroding at the same time, the effect was much faster.
Subsequently, Sadako and Kayako appeared, each hugging one of Roy's arms from behind, lending him their strength.
With the help of the two female ghosts, Roy's progress doubled instantly, and he finally successfully pierced the projector.
Black liquid immediately flowed out of the projector.
More oil again?
Unfortunately, the oil didn't attract the mold. Instead, it brought out the pig-headed mask killer. This guy suddenly appeared next to Roy, swinging his chainsaw to try and kill him.
Fortunately, Roy reacted quickly and blocked with the cursed twin daggers, but this action also severely damaged the daggers.
Sadako and Kayako, sealed within the daggers, were also injured at the same time.
The two female ghosts let out silent screams and fell to the ground.
Roy was extremely angry. He kicked the pig-headed mask killer away and then turned around, fiercely stabbing the cursed twin daggers into the movie copy.
Instantly, a large amount of black liquid also spurted out of the copy, and at the same time, blood holes and black liquid appeared on the pig-headed mask killer who had fallen to the ground.
Sure enough, this copy was the pig-headed mask killer's true form.
After stabbing more than a dozen times, the pig-headed mask killer finally stopped moving, and Roy received a system notification.
[Ding! Obtained the Pigman's Fate Treasure Chest! Open it?]
"Is it over?"
The pig-headed mask killer lay motionless on the ground, making Briquette and the others feel a bit unbelievable.
"It's over!"
Roy frowned as he looked at the cursed twin daggers. Because he had used them to block the pig-headed mask killer's chainsaw, there were severe nicks on the daggers.
Moreover, Sadako and Kayako had also become weakened as a result.
Was there any way to repair the cursed twin daggers?
At this moment, Sadako pointed to the black liquid still gushing from the copy, as if reminding Roy.
Could it be that this black liquid could repair the cursed twin daggers?
Roy tried placing the cursed twin daggers on the black liquid. Sure enough, he found that the black liquid was decreasing, as if it was being absorbed by the cursed twin daggers.
Through this method, the cursed twin daggers began to slowly repair, and Sadako and Kayako's condition also improved somewhat.
Could it be that the cursed twin daggers could absorb the power of evil spirits to become stronger?
This was good news. The cursed twin daggers were quite versatile, and they could also be used to command Sadako and Kayako to do some work.
It was just that the strength of the cursed twin daggers was a bit lacking, making them unable to be used in some high-level situations. If they could continue to be strengthened, that would be great.
Roy simply inserted the cursed twin daggers into the copy, letting Sadako and Kayako absorb the black liquid to their heart's content.
During this period, Briquette and Rachel had both successfully called the police with their phones.
The restoration of the phone signal also indicated that the previous state of being in an alternate dimension had been broken, and everyone could leave this world.

The raging middle-aged man had long since had enough of this place. Without waiting for the police to arrive, he wanted to leave the movie theater directly.
Briquette and the others were more law-abiding, staying in the projection room to wait for the police to arrive.
Roy wasn't idle either, calling Saltana.
The current situation was not something the police could handle. Roy didn't want to spend the night at the police station.
"Hello, Sister Saltana!"
"Good heavens! Roy, did something happen on your end again? It's only been a day!"
Waking up in the middle of the night to a phone call, Saltana immediately realized that something had happened again.
This made Roy feel very awkward.
"Ahem! It should be more than a day, call it a day and a bit."
"It makes no difference! Tell me, what's the situation this time?"
Roy told Saltana in detail what had happened at the movie theater. The other end of the line was silent for a moment.
"That's a bit strange. It sounds like a man-made supernatural event!"
Agent Saltana's intuition told her that something was wrong.
"You think so too?"
Roy was very happy that Saltana had come to the same conclusion as him, but before he could continue analyzing with Saltana, he heard the scream of the raging middle-aged man.
"Waaah—"
Heather looked towards the direction of the sound in surprise. It seemed to be coming from the movie theater entrance.
"What happened?"
Roy guessed what might have happened and immediately spoke briefly to Saltana.
"Sister Saltana, it seems like something happened on my end! In short, have FEA come over quickly!"
"Roy, be careful! FEA will be there soon, and I'm in Los Angeles myself!"
Saltana was actually in Los Angeles?
This news stirred something in Roy's heart, but he still hung up the phone.
"Could there be other evil spirits?"
Briquette and the others were a bit scared, especially Josh. This guy was very timid and had already started hiding behind his girlfriend.
"I'll go take a look. You guys stay here."
Roy decided to go out and see for himself, but the others seemed to have different opinions.
"Wait, I think it's safer to stay by your side!"
Josh didn't want to let go of Roy, this thick thigh, and wanted to go out with him.
"You can come if you want, I don't care."
Roy gave Heather and Penny a look, telling the two girls to stay in the projection room.
The pig-headed mask killer's Fate Treasure Chest was already in hand, so it was actually safer here. Besides, the cursed twin daggers were also here.
Walking out of the projection room and into the hallway, as he approached the corner, Roy heard some faint footsteps.
Someone was there!
The people around the corner seemed to have also noticed Roy and the others. After all, people like Briquette wouldn't know how to sneak.
A round object was thrown from around the corner. Roy thought to himself that things were bad and immediately ducked down quickly.
Fortunately, the round object wasn't a grenade, but a flashbang.
Roy, who had ducked down facing away from the flashbang, wasn't blinded by the bright light, but Briquette and the others were unlucky, instantly having their eyes burned out.
"Ah—my eyes!"
Following that were the faint sounds of gunshots and the muffled thuds of bullets hitting human bodies.
There was more than one gun, and they had silencers!
The crime of carrying a silencer was much higher than the crime of carrying automatic weapons.
In fact, you couldn't even buy professional silencers on the black market. Most civilian silencers were DIY projects by the shooters themselves.
"Clear!"
Roy, because he was lying on the ground, was pressed underneath the fallen Josh and wasn't discovered by the newcomers immediately.
Taking advantage of the moment the newcomers relaxed, he suddenly turned around and drew two revolvers, firing left and right.
In front of him were eight fully armed mercenaries. Their reactions were very fast. Upon seeing Roy, they immediately wanted to pull their triggers.
But Roy's shooting speed was even faster. It proved that after increasing his agility, it could also slightly raise the upper limit of Bob Munden's shooting skills, although the increase was very minimal.
It was like sprinting. After reaching the world record, every 0.01-second improvement was extremely difficult.
Bang—
Twelve gunshots completely merged into one sound, knocking all eight mercenaries to the ground.
However, two mercenaries still managed to pull their triggers, but most of the bullets hit Josh, who was pressing down on Roy.
"Where did these mercenaries come from?"
Roy reloaded his two revolvers. At this moment, in the projection room not far away, Heather carefully poked her head out after hearing the gunshots.
"Roy, what happened?"
"Don't come out! Block the door and wait for me to come back!"
Heather had already seen the bodies all over the ground and immediately retracted her head, closing and locking the projection room door.
Roy first checked on Briquette and the others, finding that the mercenaries hadn't used lethal weapons. They had actually used tranquilizer guns.
Briquette and the others had all lost consciousness, especially Josh, who had taken two shots for Roy and would probably sleep for a while longer.
However, Roy didn't regret using his dual pistols to take out the mercenaries.
These guys came in without saying anything, throwing a flashbang and attacking with tranquilizer guns. They were clearly not good people either.
Who knew where they would have been taken after being tranquilized.
After checking the mercenaries, Roy found that their equipment was quite advanced, comparable to FEAR's equipment.
In the past few months, Roy had encountered quite a few well-organized teams, and the best-equipped were these mercenaries in front of him and FEAR.
Second was the Black Mesa Military Company that appeared at the Gospel Sanitarium.
As for the Dark Web mercenaries, their equipment and training were the worst.
After careful inspection, Roy found the same symbol on all of these mercenaries' clothes.
Chapter 118: Wooden House
"Is this a wooden house?"
Roy noticed that the emblem on the mercenary looked very much like a log cabin.
Is this some kind of organization?
Just as he was wondering, Roy heard footsteps again.
This definitely wasn't FEA. They wouldn't be this fast. It's most likely reinforcements for these mercenaries.
So, Roy resorted to his old trick, lying on the ground pretending to be asleep, but actually squinting to observe the situation.
However, the newcomer was very cautious and directly threw out a round object to scout ahead.
Roy didn't dare risk whether this thing was a flashbang or not, so he quickly covered himself with the two mercenary corpses beside him.
This judgment was correct. The round object was indeed a fragmentation grenade. The two mercenary corpses covering him were instantly blown to bits.
Immediately after, a familiar figure holding a gun walked in.
It was Sully\!
This guy was definitely trouble\!
Roy suddenly threw off the bodies on top of him and rushed towards Sully, startling him. But this guy seemed to have received professional training as well and pulled the trigger on Roy in time.
Roy wasn't afraid of just a gun. As long as it didn't hit a vulnerable spot like the eyes, he'd be mostly fine.
However, Roy didn't expect that Sully wasn't holding an ordinary pistol, but a taser.
Zap\!
Caught off guard, Roy was hit by the taser and got a taste of electrotherapy.
But his physique of 45 allowed Roy to withstand the high-voltage current that could stun an adult, and he continued to charge towards Sully with undiminished momentum.
A look of fear appeared on Sully's face, but he didn't have time to dodge and was hit hard in the stomach by an uppercut.
Instantly, Sully felt like his internal organs had shifted. He completely lost control of his stomach's contractions, and his mouth opened to throw up.
Having increasingly rich combat experience, Roy had anticipated the consequences of his punch. He dodged in time, grabbed Sully's hair, and slammed his head into the corridor wall.
Bang\!
Sully, who was halfway through vomiting, was forced to swallow his vomit by the impact. Anyone who has experienced vomiting knows how particularly unpleasant that is.
Sully was tormented to the point of near-death before Roy grabbed his neck and lifted him up.
"Who the hell are you?\!"
Sully's face was almost purple, but he refused to say a word.
Roy realized that this guy had probably received anti-interrogation training, and torture might not be effective.
So, Roy activated his Fear Shadow ability.
"Scumbag, look into my eyes\!"
Roy's pupils turned golden, and Sully instantly fell into a terrifying illusion.
"I can't say\!"
Sully's will was quite strong. Roy released his Fear Shadow for several minutes but couldn't make him yield.
So Roy increased the output of his Fear Shadow, and then he saw Sully start to bleed from his nose and foam at the mouth.
"Speak\! Who do you work for?\!"
"Wood... House..."
Roy was a little surprised. He thought the wooden house emblem on the mercenary was just some kind of marking, but he didn't expect the organization to actually be called Wooden House.
"What is Wooden House?"
"A secret organization... specifically researching... supernatural existences..."
There's actually such an organization?
"Where is Wooden House?"
"In... in..."
Just as Sully was about to give the answer, his will could no longer hold on, and he fell unconscious under the pressure of fear.
"Fuck\! He actually passed out at the crucial moment\!"
Roy was a bit speechless, but at this moment, footsteps came again.
"FEAR First Response Assault Recon Team\! Drop your weapons immediately\!"
This time it really was FEAR. Roy was about to raise his hands when he heard a familiar voice.
"Wait, everyone lower your weapons. I know this boy."
Sultana was here too?
Wearing plain clothes, Sultana walked past the FEAR team and approached Roy.
"Roy, are you alright?"
"I'm fine, but the others might not be."
Seeing the corpses lying scattered all over the place and the unconscious person, it was clear that a battle had taken place.
Sultana said something to a middle-aged black man in a suit beside her.
"Gerald, I want to talk to Roy."
Wasn't this Gerald Olin, the manager of the Dolphin Hotel?
So this guy was also with FEA\!
Does that mean the Dolphin Hotel is also a FEA property?
Thinking about it, it seemed somewhat reasonable. Room 1408 of the Dolphin Hotel was a notorious haunted room. More than one person had died inside. FEA couldn't possibly ignore this room.
So FEA simply took over the Dolphin Hotel and kept watch over room 1408?
"Suit yourself. Anyway, he'll have to come to the station with me later."
"I know the rules at the station. Roy, come with me\!"
"I have two friends inside. Can I ask them to come out?"
Sultana glanced at Roy.
"Male or female?"
Roy chuckled awkwardly and didn't answer.
No answer was the best answer. The clever Sultana instantly understood what Roy meant and couldn't help but roll her eyes at him.
"You're really something\! I'll wait for you outside."
With that, Sultana gracefully walked out of the movie theater.
After Roy called Heather and Penny out, he immediately went outside the movie theater to find Sultana.
"Sister Sultana, have you been reinstated?"
"Not yet. I just happened to be in Los Angeles recently to relax, and it just so happens you're here too."
Hearing this, Roy's expression became a little strange. He remembered mentioning to Sultana that he was coming to Los Angeles before he left.
"You... you wouldn't have been waiting for me in Los Angeles on purpose, would you?"
This made Sultana blush a little. She couldn't help but pat Roy's arm.
"I told you it was just a coincidence. Don't overthink it\!"
He didn't expect this older sister to be so easily embarrassed.
"Okay, okay, it's a coincidence, it's a coincidence\!"
Sultana quickly calmed down and then looked into Roy's eyes.
"Roy, have you made any new discoveries?"
Sultana knew most of Roy's secrets, including his identity as the son of a demon, so Roy had nothing to hide.
"I just interrogated a man named Sully. He claims to be from an organization called Wooden House."
"Wooden House?\!"
Judging by Sultana's expression, she seemed to know this organization.
"Sister Sultana, do you know this organization?"
Sultana nodded.
"It's a non-profit organization that researches supernatural powers. It has many ties to the government and has always been quite radical in its methods."
Well, another non-profit organization.
As everyone knows, America's non-profit organizations are the most powerful, such as the NCAA, animal protection organizations, and the Federal Reserve.
It once made Roy suspect that "non-profit organization" was an abbreviation for "very profitable organization."
"Is it troublesome?"
"Very troublesome. They might even have people within FEA\! But don't worry, I'll help you cover up this incident. Gerald and I have a good relationship."
Roy felt like he had inexplicably gotten caught up in another vortex.
"Sister Sultana, thank you\!"
He hugged Sultana, and she gave him a sweet smile.
Just as Sultana said, Gerald didn't make things difficult for Roy and the two girls. After recording what happened in the movie theater, he let them return to the hotel.
Anyway, the Dolphin Hotel was under FEA's control, and Roy couldn't run anywhere.
It was Bretchett and the others who were a bit unlucky. First, they were hit by tranquilizer darts, and then they were affected by the fragmentation grenade. Several of them were injured while unconscious.
On the other hand, the berserk middle-aged man who fell at the door was only tranquilized and had no other issues.
It was already past midnight when they returned to the Dolphin Hotel. Roy, Heather, and Penny had lost their interest in pre-sleep exercises. After washing up, they went to bed to rest.
The next day, Roy was woken up.
The latest and fastest novels are first published here\!
Opening his eyes, he didn't see Heather and Penny, but the quilt was bulging, as if someone was hiding inside.
"Oops, sorry, I'm still not very skilled. Penny is teaching me."
Penny was indeed more experienced in this regard. She often took the lead in guiding Heather.
"It's okay, take your time to learn."
Roy patted Heather's head to encourage her.
Who wouldn't love such a studious student?
"Oh, that's how it is\!"
After some interaction, Roy was fully awake and lifted the quilt, ready for some morning exercise.
But at this moment, his phone suddenly rang.
Roy frowned, picked up the phone, and pressed down on Heather.
"Don't stop\! The sea of learning is boundless, you must not give up halfway\!"
He didn't know if Heather understood the meaning of "the sea of learning is boundless," but she certainly hadn't stopped making progress.
Roy glanced at his phone screen. The phone number displayed was Alan Berg's.
"Hello, Mr. Berg, is there something I can help you with?"
"Nothing much. It's just that the Santa Monica Cup qualifiers we talked about yesterday have already started today. Would you like to prepare?"
"Hiss\! Prepare? Do I even need to prepare for the qualifiers?"
"Mr. Black, it's like this. The qualifiers don't have any breaks. You can play all three matches in one day, or one match each day for three days. I'd like to know your plan."
Roy barely managed to concentrate on Alan's words.
"Phew\! So that's what you meant. Of course, I'm planning to play all three matches in one day\!"
"Then you need to prepare in advance. The Santa Monica Cup matches are usually in the evening. How about you come to UCLA in the afternoon?"
"Hmm... I... I need to check my schedule for today\!"
Roy's voice became muffled, as if he was suppressing something, which made Alan feel a little strange.
"Mr. Black, are you feeling unwell?"
"No\! My body is very healthy\! Anyway, I'll go to UCLA to find you by evening at the latest\!"
"Okay, then it's settled\!"
Alan hung up the phone, and Roy quickly threw his phone to the side.
"Heather, Penny, you two actually took advantage of me while I was on the phone\! I'm going to punish you properly\!"
"Ah\!"
It turned out that these two girls had just suddenly used a pincer attack, almost causing Roy to collapse.
Fortunately, Roy finally withstood the offensive, and now it was time for him to counterattack.
After a morning workout, it was already noon. The hungry Roy and the girls went to the Dolphin Hotel's restaurant for a meal.
The Dolphin Hotel's restaurant had a direct view of Santa Monica Beach, and the scenery was very beautiful.
During the meal, Heather and Penny were attracted by Santa Monica Beach and made a plan with Roy to go swimming in the sea in the afternoon.
"Mr. Black, sorry to interrupt your meal, but can we have a chat?"
Just as they finished their meal and were feeling full, Gerald suddenly appeared and greeted Roy.
Roy had a pretty good impression of Gerald, this black man, so he didn't refuse and followed him to the restaurant's large balcony.
"Mr. Olin, is there something I can help you with?"
"It's about the Wooden House agent we caught last night."
Wooden House agent, did he mean Sully?
"That Wooden House agent went completely crazy after waking up this morning. Can you tell me what happened?"
Hearing this, Roy felt a little awkward. This must have been because his Fear Shadow was too powerful, driving Sully insane.
But this wasn't easy to explain. It was enough for Sultana to know about Roy's abilities; the others in FEA didn't need to know.
"Um... maybe the guy's conscience was bothering him, so he drove himself crazy, or maybe he's just pretending to be crazy."
Gerald looked deeply at Roy, knowing that the other party didn't want to talk and was just making up excuses.
"Mr. Black, everyone has their secrets, and I can understand that. However, I hope that next time you encounter such important figures, you can be a little more lenient so that I can also extract some information."
Judging by his tone, Gerald didn't seem to be making things difficult for Roy, probably out of respect for Sultana.
"Ahem, I'll try my best\!"
"Here's my contact information. If anything comes up, you can contact me directly."
Gerald handed over a business card and then turned to leave.
Trying to poach Sultana's man? This guy probably doesn't know about his relationship with Sultana, does he?
Roy scoffed, put away the business card, and returned to the restaurant to leave with Heather and Penny.
After resting for a while, the three of them arrived at the beach in front of the Dolphin Hotel. Their appearance instantly attracted the attention of most people there.
Roy's figure was as perfect as Hercules, full of masculine hormones, and his face was as handsome as Apollo, making women unable to take their eyes off him.
And Heather and Penny by his side were no less impressive.
Heather herself was a petite woman with large breasts. Wearing a bikini, she bounced with every step, which was quite a sight.
As for Penny, her figure wasn't as exaggerated as Heather's, but her curves were also very perfect. Combined with her face that made people feel pity for her, she was also the center of attention.
"Ha\! Even though I grew up in Los Angeles, I rarely get to come to Santa Monica Beach to play\!"
The west and north of Los Angeles have always been places where wealthy people and tourists gather. In Heather's past, she only came here when she had to work.
But now Heather was also financially free. As long as she didn't make high-risk investments like some second-generation rich kids, she would definitely have no worries about food and drink for the rest of her life.
"So, what are your thoughts now?"
Penny looked at Heather and quietly squatted down on the beach.
"It feels... like a dream\! I'm really worried that I'll open my eyes and find myself still lying in that old apartment."
Roy patted Heather's rear.
"If it's a dream, then why not just keep dreaming?"
"Roy, you're right\!"
At this moment, Penny suddenly grabbed a handful of sand and threw it at Heather before turning around and running.
"Ah\! Penny, you actually ambushed me\!"
"Hahaha\! Come and catch me\!"
The two girls chased each other on the beach, causing quite a commotion.
