Chapter 909: Keep Training
🕑 Added 2025-06-10 16:01:56 +0000 UTCLooking at the proficiency panel, Seimei’s eyes lingered on the bloodline section, where the progress bar for Wood Release had ticked up. In that brief moment, a flood of thoughts raced through his mind.
But just as quickly, he pushed them all aside.
The reason was simple: he’d developed Wood Release not to boost his combat power, but to master the fusion of Water Release and Earth Release. It was a stepping stone to eventually blending all seven chakra nature transformations and achieving the Bloodline Net. So, even if its evolution progress increased, it wasn’t something he’d actively chase.
Speaking of Wood Release, he couldn’t help but think of Lava Release, the next technique he was working on.
It still hadn’t come together.
He’d initially thought that having the Four-Tails, a natural master of Lava Release, as a reference would make it a quick success.
But reality wasn’t so kind.
Sure, the Four-Tails’ presence gave him a clear target to aim for, keeping him from veering off course. But it was still far from easy.
When you thought about it, it made sense. If fusing two chakra natures was a walk in the park, the ninja world would be crawling with shinobi wielding bloodline limits.
His earlier success with Wood Release owed a lot to the Hashirama cells he’d taken from Obito Uchiha. Without those, no matter how well he’d mastered Water and Earth chakra natures, he wouldn’t have cracked Wood Release so fast.
He’d have been stuck, just like he was now with Lava Release.
Realizing this, Seimei decided not to rush.
The ninja world was relatively calm for the time being.
There was no need to scramble. He could take his time, steadily investing effort and researching. With all the conditions he had in place, developing Lava Release was just a matter of time.
Clearing his mind, Seimei shifted his gaze to the chakra section of the panel.
Over the past month, his chakra cap had grown significantly—from 631,860 points to 684,084 points, a whopping increase of 52,224 points.
That kind of boost already surpassed the chakra reserves of most elite jōnin.
It was a stark reminder of just how vast the gap was between his chakra reserves and those of an average ninja.
And this was only a fraction of the potential locked within his body.
If he could fully tap into that potential, there’d be few in the ninja world who could match his chakra reserves.
Unfortunately, that was a long-term goal.
For now, his Chakra Refinement Technique was at LV6 (7879/10,000).
At his current rate of gaining 24 proficiency points per day from 24 hours of practice, it would take just under three months to reach LV7.
LV7 was often a turning point for any ninjutsu.
Once he hit that level, the technique’s effects would likely undergo a qualitative leap.
When that happened, his ability to tap into his potential might speed up considerably.
But for now, he’d just have to keep chipping away at it.
Feeling the Chakra Refinement Technique passively running in his body, Seimei shook his head, dismissing the thought. His gaze moved to the skills section, landing on Izanagi and Izanami.
As forbidden dojutsu he’d mastered long ago, their unique nature limited their daily proficiency gains to just 500 points.
After nearly seven months of steady practice and study, they were finally on the verge of perfection.
At his current pace, in just three and a half days, they’d both reach LV9 (0/0)—the pinnacle of mastery.
When that happened, he’d not only gain an extra 250,000 chakra points to freely allocate each day, but he’d also master two incredibly powerful techniques for survival and combat.
Those 250,000 chakra points?
He could pour them into the Heart Reflection Technique to further accelerate his Sharingan’s evolution.
As for the two dojutsu?
If possible, Seimei hoped he’d never have to use them.
From Uchiha Madara’s experience, it seemed that possessing a Sage Body and awakening the Rinnegan might negate their blinding side effects.
But whether that was true or not, no one could say for sure.
It might only restore a blinded eye once.
So, unless he was truly desperate, Seimei wasn’t about to take that gamble.
Shaking his head again, he stopped dwelling on it. Closing the panel, he reached into his ninja pouch and pulled out a few enhanced soldier pills, popping them into his mouth.
Crunch, crunch.
He quickly swallowed them, then raised his hands and cast Multiple Shadow Clone Technique.
Poof, poof, poof!
With bursts of chakra smoke, 150 shadow clones appeared.
Seimei divided them into groups based on their tasks, sending them off to train different skills.
Then, with a few Body Flicker Techniques, he zipped to the beach.
Staring out at the endless sea, he focused his mind and activated Lightning Release Chakra Mode.
Crackle!
Zzzt!
After a burst of thunder, a steady hum of electricity followed.
Blue-white lightning coated his body like armor.
Seimei controlled the lightning, keeping it tightly bound to his skin to minimize its spread.
Then, he opened his senses, locking onto a Flying Thunder God marker at the ocean floor. Taking a deep breath, he activated the Flying Thunder God Technique.
In an instant, he vanished.
The next moment, immense pressure crashed in from all sides, nearly suffocating him.
Thankfully, his lightning armor held, sparing him from injury.
Seimei stood still, adjusting to the pressure for a while before it finally felt manageable.
Then, he channeled chakra to his feet, glanced around, picked a direction, and started walking.
As he moved forward, the pressure grew heavier.
Gritting his teeth against the discomfort, he pressed on until he hit his limit and stopped.
This was where he’d train for the next hour.
As for using the Flying Thunder God Technique?
It was a necessity.
From past experience, he knew his body couldn’t handle extreme pressure changes.
But as time went on, he needed to venture deeper into the ocean. Walking from the shore step by step took too long.
To save time, he relied on Flying Thunder God to shuttle between the surface and the ocean floor.
His Palm Sage Technique and Human Shield had already fused, passively taking effect. Now, he could use Lightning Release Chakra Mode to reinforce his body.
This let him withstand some of the water pressure changes, teleporting to the deepest point his body could handle.
