*Chapter 908: Double the Joy*
🕑 Added 2025-06-10 16:01:29 +0000 UTCSpeaking of transformation, Seimei closed his eyes, quietly sensing the changes in his physical body.
A moment later, he opened them again.
Thanks to successfully unlocking the Wood Release Kekkei Genkai earlier, his physical potential had improved, saving him about a month’s worth of effort.
On top of that, the harsh underwater environment had accelerated his body’s evolution.
So, even though he now spent nearly half his time each day using the Mind Reflection Technique, Seimei was confident he could complete another physical transformation within three months—by mid-February.
Satisfied with this realization, he nodded to himself.
Without dwelling further, he focused his mind and began his final training session of the day: nurturing his Byakugan.
As usual, this step consumed 2.5 million chakra points and took two and a half hours.
By the time his Byakugan reached its daily limit, it was already late at night.
Seimei opened his panel to check the day’s progress, confirmed nothing was off, and returned to his wooden cabin to rest.
In the days that followed, he kept up his relentless training routine.
…
Twenty-six days flew by.
It was now January 5th.
Today was Seimei’s birthday.
By pure coincidence, it was also the day his Spirit Transformation Technique reached Lv9, hitting the proficiency level he’d been aiming for.
At noon, atop a massive boulder in the center of the island, Seimei absorbed the past hour’s worth of training experience from his shadow clones, as was his routine. His eyes fluttered open, a glint of something unusual flashing through them.
“Panel!”
With a thought, he summoned his proficiency panel.
Instantly, the familiar light blue, semi-transparent screen appeared before him:

---
By his earlier calculations, he should’ve reached Lv9 with Spirit Transformation Technique four days ago.
But, unfortunately, he couldn’t train non-stop for over twenty days.
During that time, he took two rest days, which accounted for two days.
He also went on a mission with his real body. While it wasn’t too difficult, the task was tedious and ate up another two days.
That made four days total.
That’s why Spirit Transformation Technique’s upgrade was delayed until today.
But today was his 14th birthday in this life, so it felt like a double celebration.
Pushing aside stray thoughts, Seimei carefully reviewed the gains from reaching Lv9 with Spirit Transformation Technique.
As expected, the boost in his understanding of souls was enough to let him perfect the Soul-Locking Contract Instant Movement Seal.
So, moving forward, he planned to pause training Spirit Transformation Technique and redirect the chakra he’d been using for it to refining this seal.
Not all of it, though.
He’d allocate 1 million chakra points daily to perfecting the seal, leaving the remaining 286,000 points for physical enhancement.
That’s right—physical enhancement.
After over a month of tough experimentation, he’d successfully fused Palm Immortal Technique and Human Control into a passive ability. Once activated, it automatically strengthened his body from the inside out.
This change solved his issue of limited time with his real body, letting him focus more on boosting his Sharingan’s evolution.
He didn’t have enough chakra to pour into that yet, but the foundation was there. Once he had more chakra, he could ramp up the efficiency with ease.
But every gain comes with a catch.
While fusing Palm Immortal Technique and Human Control saved him effort, it also increased his chakra consumption.
After unlocking Wood Release, he’d allocated an extra 150,000 chakra points to those techniques.
Back then, he couldn’t even use it all.
But after a month of adaptive evolution, he could now dive deeper into the ocean, enduring harsher conditions to push his body’s growth.
This led to a spike in chakra consumption.
A few days ago, the 186,000 points (36,000 + 150,000) he’d been putting into those techniques daily stopped being enough.
He’d been burning through his stored chakra reserves as planned.
Now, those reserves were gone, and with the fusion of Palm Immortal Technique and Human Control, the chakra deficit was even bigger.
So, he decided to allocate another 286,000 chakra points to cover it.
This was a bit more than he needed, but not by much.
The excess chakra could be stored in his forehead’s alternate space, just like the extra 150,000 points from before.
This way, when his chakra ran low later, he could tap into those reserves, like he had over the past month, and keep going longer without needing to reallocate chakra.
It saved him a lot of hassle.
These thoughts flashed through his mind as Seimei sat there, pondering for a moment. Then he shifted his gaze from Spirit Transformation Technique to the Bloodlines section.
Over the past month, his Sharingan’s evolution had jumped by 1,144 points, from (1210/100,000) to (2354/100,000).
It was still a long way from maxing out, but compared to the sluggish one or two points a day before, this was leaps and bounds faster.
Then there was his Byakugan.
With daily nurturing, its evolution had broken past the (2000/5000) mark, reaching (2265/5000)—nearly halfway done.
This gave Seimei renewed hope for its evolution.
Beyond those two, his Wood Release Kekkei Genkai had somehow gained 164 points over the past month, going from (1/1000) to (165/1000).
But he hadn’t practiced any Wood Release techniques during that time.
His only guess was that his ongoing physical evolution, as an expression of his genes, had passively boosted his Wood Release.
This kind of bonus only worked because his Wood Release was still so underdeveloped. His Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and Byakugan couldn’t benefit this way.
Well… not entirely.
Each time his body underwent a transformation, both bloodlines got a significant boost in evolution.
This showed that physical evolution could drive progress in his Sharingan and Byakugan.
It’s just that the slow, day-to-day physical changes weren’t enough to trigger noticeable effects.
Or maybe they were happening, but the impact was so small it got overshadowed by other factors.
