Could it be Lilith's doing?
Roy suddenly remembered the suspicious woman who had previously controlled Jennifer. If he had to find a culprit for what had suddenly appeared, it could only be her!
It was clearly just the second round, and Jennifer's demeanor had changed drastically.
"Are you Lilith?"
"It's me!"
Roy was furious. This guy ran away when there was trouble before, and now he's showing up again when things are good. He's absolutely shameless!
This brazen woman needs to be punished properly.
"Serves you right! You immediately release Jennifer!"
"Little Roy, you're quite capable, aren't you? You even managed to deceive Michael and gain his trust."
So, the one inside the nun's body is really Michael?
Archangel Michael, the embodiment of justice, who judges the fate of humans after death.
No wonder Isabella could see the sins on people at a glance. So that's why.
However, Lilith's words made Roy a little displeased.
"What do you mean 'little'? Why are you saying that with your hand on your heart?"
Compared to other girls, Jennifer's 'conscience' was indeed smaller.
"Oh! Yes, yes, yes, little Roy, you're the best!"
[Ding! Acquired Lilith's Conquest Treasure Chest! Open it?]
After several hours of arduous and extraordinary battle, the two simultaneously entered the post-coital phase.
Roy lowered his guard against Lilith slightly.
"Lilith, who exactly are you?"
At this moment, Lilith was tracing patterns on Roy's body with her fingers, as if drawing something.
However, Roy, still in the post-coital phase, didn't notice this. He just thought she was drawing circles, a habit many women have.
"Hehe, telling you isn't a problem! Actually, I'm the first witch in human history. In a way, you could say I'm your ancestor."
Hearing this, Roy instantly thought of a myth. After his memory attribute increased, his memory had improved a lot.
"Are you Adam's wife?"
In Jewish mythology, God created the first human, Adam.
Then, He fashioned a woman from Adam's rib to be his wife, and her name was Lilith.
Dissatisfied with Adam, Lilith invoked God's true name and left the Garden of Eden, joining with demons to become the first witch in mythology.
In the earlier Sumerian mythology, Lilith was a similar figure, the embodiment of desire and corruption.
Some stories even depict Lilith as a succubus and incubus who drains men's life force.
Hmm, that does fit the facts. Roy had just been drained quite a bit.
This explains the extra thing that appeared on Jennifer's lower abdomen.
"Why did you possess Jennifer?"
"I didn't possess your little girlfriend. I've always been inside her body."
"What do you mean?"
"It's a long story. If you're willing to listen, I can tell you."
Lilith began to tell her story, which was roughly about an ancient witch who was betrayed and killed by her own daughter, and then used some kind of secret art to preserve her soul within one of her bloodlines.
So, the Miles family's special bloodline... is that what it means?
Roy immediately thought of another possibility.
"You wouldn't be planning to revive yourself through Jennifer's body, would you?"
"Hehe, are you scared?"
Roy grabbed Lilith's neck, but there was no pain on her face at all. Instead, she looked like she was enjoying it.
"Ah! What a heartless man! Treating someone like this right after we just finished!"
"Tell me your plan! Don't test my patience!"
Roy was considering whether to use the Shadow of Fear ability to interrogate Lilith, but she suddenly gave in.
"Alright, alright! I have many ways to revive myself. I don't necessarily have to take over Jennifer's body. But I need your help with something. Could you help me?"
Lilith looked at Roy pitifully and even lightly licked the back of his hand that was holding her neck with her tongue, like a little kitten.
"Tell me what it is."
"I want revenge! The one who betrayed me is still alive. As long as you help me get my revenge, I'll leave Jennifer's body. Of course, if you don't mind, I can continue to stay by your side and become your woman."
It sounded like a good deal, but Roy felt there was something off about Lilith. What she just said might not be true.
Compared to Elizabeth, Lilith's purposefulness was clearly stronger.
Although both were using him, Roy could sense that Elizabeth genuinely wanted to enjoy life in the human world and didn't want to bother with anything else.
But Lilith seemed to be hiding something, and Roy felt he needed to consider this carefully.
"I'll think about it."
Roy released her hand, and Lilith leaned into his arms with a smile on her face.
"Take your time thinking about it. I've prepared a little gift for you, so I won't bother you anymore."
A gift? What gift?
Roy looked down and saw Jennifer's clear eyes.
"Jennifer?"
"Mmm."
Jennifer blushed slightly.
If she's blushing, then it's definitely Jennifer.
"Jennifer, did you actually feel anything just now?"
"I did. It was like having a lucid dream. I experienced it from a third-person perspective."
"In that case, why don't you experience it again from a first-person perspective?"
After overtime, Jennifer beside him couldn't take the impact and had already fallen into a deep sleep.
So, Roy stroked the little kitty and began the standard opening process.
System, open the Collector's Fate Treasure Chest!
[Opening the Collector's Fate Treasure Chest...]
[Gained 2 Memory Attribute Points!]
[Gained the special ability Trap Master!]
It actually yielded 2 Memory Attribute Points and a special ability.
Well, the Collector's attributes in all aspects really can't compare to Roy's, but his memory is quite remarkable.
After all, being able to clearly remember all the traps one has set and how to activate them is not something an ordinary person can do.
It's not an exaggeration to say he has photographic memory.
[Trap Master: You have a thorough understanding of traps, are proficient in setting and disarming all types of traps, and can use mental energy to remotely sense or activate them.]
Hiss, this ability seems a bit powerful!
Does this mean that if I set a simple little trap at home, I can sense if someone triggers it even when I'm at school?
Roy prepared to test this ability. He used the tools at home to set up a simple mousetrap in the kitchen, then returned to his bedroom to wait for Jerry to step into it.
After a while, Roy indeed sensed that the trap he had set in the kitchen had been triggered by something.
Jerry: Why is it always me who gets hurt?
It seems this ability has some strategic significance. If used properly, it could be very effective.
System, open Lilith's Conquest Treasure Chest!
[Opening Lilith's Fate Treasure Chest...]
[Gained 5 Memory Attribute Points!]
[Gained 5 Spirit Attribute Points!]
[Gained the special ability Shadow of Desire!]
Another special ability?
Roy felt like he was having a very lucky day. Maybe Jennifer's little kitty had something to do with it.
Needless to say about the 5 Memory and 5 Spirit points. This also made all of Roy's mental attributes break through the twenty mark, so he could use more of the magic recorded in the Key of Solomon in the future.
However, Roy didn't really like playing with magic. He preferred close-quarters combat and the feeling of sawing enemies in half with a chainsaw sword.
[Shadow of Desire: You are the embodiment of lust and original sin, the desire of all intelligent beings!
The newest novel is first published here!
Passive ability: Greatly increases charm, passively collects the aura of lust.
Active ability: Can consume stored aura of lust to use some special abilities.]
The description of the Shadow of Desire's ability made Roy's expression a little strange.
Judging from the description, this ability is probably a special ability similar to the Shadow of Fear, and it also relies on collecting emotions to activate its effects.
After obtaining the Shadow of Desire, a pink energy bar immediately appeared on Roy's panel, forming a stark contrast with the other two purple fear energy bars.
At this moment, the pink energy bar was slowly increasing, and the source of the energy was naturally Jennifer beside Roy's pillow.
So, does this ability require me to pick up more girls?
This ability is really too bad! It's corrupting a pure and good young man like me!
With this thought, Roy held Jennifer and fell into a deep sleep.
It felt like he hadn't slept for very long when Roy was woken up by a noise from downstairs.
Looking out the window, it wasn't even dawn yet.
What's going on?
Did a thief break in?
Jennifer was also awakened by the noise.
"Roy, what's that sound?"
"It might be a thief. I'll go downstairs and take a look."
A thief actually dared to break into his house. They must have a death wish!
Roy put on his pants, and shirtless, he quietly went downstairs, where he saw someone who surprised him.
"Dad? Mom? You're back?"
That's right, it was Roy's parents, who had gone on vacation for the Christmas holidays and then forgotten to come home, only remembering to return today, January 15th.
It was truly speechless.
"Sorry, Roy, did we wake you up? Philip accidentally tripped over himself and fell at the door."
"Sarah, it's not my fault! The floor tiles by the door are too slippery!"
And what was even more speechless was that the couple was accompanied by a cute little loli who looked only seven or eight years old.
Huh, did they have another kid?
Wait, something doesn't seem right.
"Who is this little girl? Is she your illegitimate daughter?"
Philip was a little angry.
"What are you talking about? How could my and your mother's child be illegitimate!"
"Philip, that's not the point! Roy, you've misunderstood. This child is your uncle's daughter. Your uncle has had a little trouble and can only leave the child with us for a few days."
"Yeah! Having one child like you is already tough enough for the two of us. Why would we want another one?"
Feeling his father's undisguised dislike, Roy pursed his lips.
Sure enough, the original owner's birth was completely an accident!
No wonder the original owner was an only child. After all, middle-class American families in this day and age usually have two to three children.
If Jennifer's family hadn't had that accident, she would have had an older brother and an older sister.
And Nedy originally had a younger brother too.
It wouldn't be until twenty years later that middle-class white Americans would start not getting married or having children.
"What's her name?"
"Emma. Emma, this is your cousin. You can call him Roy."
"Hello, Brother Roy!"
The little loli gave Roy a sweet smile. The smile was so perfect, like a masterpiece sculpted halfway to perfection.
"Hello, Emma."
Roy also smiled at the little loli.
At this moment, Jennifer came downstairs wearing Roy's shirt.
"Roy, what exactly happened?"
Jennifer was stunned when she saw a large group of people in the house.
Jennifer naturally knew Roy's parents, and Philip and Sarah also had some impression of Jennifer.
The scene was very awkward for a moment.
"Ahem! Roy, you'd better explain."
Philip glared at Roy, which made him a little confused.
"Explain what? Did you expect me to bring back a boy?"
Sarah couldn't help but pat Philip's shoulder.
"Roy's right. He's at that age, so it's natural to have some needs. But you still need to take precautions, okay?"
Jennifer took Roy's arm and nodded, feeling a little shy and happy at the same time.
Sarah's words were equivalent to acknowledging Jennifer's and Roy's relationship, which naturally made her feel a little happy.
However, on the other side, the little loli Emma's expression became not so pleasant, as if a toy she had just taken a liking to had been snatched away by someone else.
But the adults present didn't notice Emma's little mood.
"Alright, it's getting late. You should go back to your room and rest."
Roy glanced at the time. It was already five in the morning, and they wouldn't be able to sleep for much longer.
"Jennifer, if you still want to rest, go back to sleep for a bit. I won't sleep anymore. Mom, is there anything I can help you with?"
"Hmm."
"Roy, go help Emma with her luggage! Little Emma sure has a lot of belongings!"
"Leave it to me!"
Chapter 95: The Cowboy Cup Finals
It was the weekend at the University of Texas basketball arena, and nearly all of the 15,000-plus seats were filled.
Anyone who didn't know better would have thought the school was hosting some kind of event, but in reality, a high school-level middleweight boxing match was taking place.
That's right, it was the Cowboy Cup finals.
The venue wasn't actually chosen by the Cowboy Cup organizers. After all, with such a large space, if they didn't sell even half the tickets, the organizers would be losing a fortune.
However, the University of Texas proactively offered the venue to the organizers for a very low rental fee.
What's even more unbelievable is that this high school-level boxing match actually attracted over ten thousand spectators, and the number of attendees was still growing.
In previous years, the Cowboy Cup naturally didn't have this kind of influence. If the finals sold three thousand tickets, the organizers would be thanking their lucky stars.
This year, it was all thanks to Roy that they were able to sell so many tickets.
Even the University of Texas only rented the venue to the Cowboy Cup organizers at a low price because of Roy.
If a high school-level competition could sell this many tickets, what would happen at the college level?
That would be a whole lot of green US dollars!
Clearly, Texas was one of the universities pursuing Roy, and they had already offered some enticing perks to win him over.
It was a bit of a shame that the school didn't send any beautiful female college students to flirt with Roy. They really lacked foresight.
"Roy, this is the last match. Try to make it a good one and give the Cowboy Cup a perfect ending!"
Since it was the finals, Coach Lambert said a few extra words.
But Roy didn't pay much attention. These low-level boxing matches were starting to feel a bit boring to him.
If it weren't for the fact that quite a few university representatives were there to watch the match today, Roy would have just finished it quickly, taking care of the fight with one punch.
"Roy, have you decided which university you want to go to?"
Roy glanced at Lambert, whose expression was a bit awkward.
"Are you still trying to be a spokesperson for UCLA? What did they offer you?"
Lambert originally wanted to brush it off, but under Roy's sharp gaze, he chose to be honest.
"Okay, they did make me a promise. If I can convince you to go to UCLA, they're willing to let me join too."
University coaches definitely earn much higher salaries than high school coaches, so it was no wonder Lambert was willing to be a spokesperson for UCLA.
This book was first published on 101kan.com, providing you with error-free chapters and a reading experience without disordered chapters.
This was also a common tactic for universities recruiting athletes. It was only because Roy's family was well-off; otherwise, some universities might even pay his family members.
"Roy, what do you think? UCLA really has good conditions in all aspects!"
"I haven't decided yet. It's only January, and there are still several months until graduation."
Roy wanted to see the offers from other schools before making a decision so early.
"Is that so? My senior brother, Alan Berg, also wants to invite you to visit UCLA. He'll cover all the travel expenses. Maybe you can go to Los Angeles and experience the atmosphere of UCLA up close."
This meant they wanted to sweeten the deal further. It seemed UCLA was very interested in him!
However, Roy certainly wouldn't refuse a free trip.
"Okay, tell him I agree to visit UCLA."
Lambert smiled.
"Roy, it's almost time. Let's go out."
"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the Cowboy Cup boxing finals on this weekend! The next match to begin is the middleweight boxing final! Let's welcome both fighters to the ring. First, in the blue corner, from Giant Mountain High School, Edgar Lane!"
Apart from the entrance BGM, there was almost no sound in the arena, which made Edgar Lane feel very awkward.
"And now entering the ring, from Oak High School, the Grim Reaper, Roy—Black!"
Screams and cheers instantly drowned out the basketball arena, even overpowering Roy's entrance music, "YMCA."
Roy waved to the surrounding audience, just like a big star.
The downside of having such a large venue and so many people was that Roy couldn't find Jennifer Nidi, or Heather Penny and the others, in the crowd.
Helpless, Roy could only get into the ring and stare at his opponent, Edgar Lane.
Being able to reach the finals, this Edgar Lane was considered a fairly strong high school boxer in the Texas region. However, he was extremely nervous right now, visibly so.
Roy had no doubt that if this match wasn't the finals, this guy might have chosen to forfeit.
Unfortunately, the organizers would definitely not allow a forfeit, otherwise the ticket-buying audience would turn them into sieves.
The referee began explaining the rules and prohibitions of the match, while Roy looked at Edgar and said a sentence.
"Ready?"
The referee looked at Roy speechlessly, as he had stolen his line.
However, Roy was a box office guarantee, and even the referee wouldn't easily offend him, otherwise the audience would tear him apart.
"No talking, no speaking!"
After warning Roy, the referee announced the official start of the match.
Edgar took a big step back and adopted a defensive stance, ignoring Roy's provocation.
It seemed that no matter how Roy provoked him, this guy wouldn't take the initiative to attack. He was incredibly cowardly.
Roy was a bit helpless. If the opposing actor didn't cooperate with the performance, how could he put on a show?
The audience also noticed Edgar's passive attitude and booed him.
But Edgar pretended not to hear. He was determined to defend cautiously.
There was no other way then; Roy could only take the initiative to attack.
Edgar Lane was able to reach the Cowboy Cup finals, so he naturally had some skill. In high school-level competitions, he was considered a top-tier fighter.
It was just a pity that Roy was a monster even in college-level boxing matches, let alone when fighting high school boxers.
As soon as Edgar saw Roy trying to approach him, he tried to clinch, hoping to limit Roy's ability.
However, Roy's reaction speed exceeded Edgar's imagination. With a side step, he dodged the clinch, followed by a punch to Edgar's shoulder.
The punch wasn't heavy; Roy was holding back.
Having failed to clinch, Edgar continued to maintain a defensive stance, staying away from Roy.
The referee on the side was about to roll his eyes. This fight was too ugly. He really wanted to give Edgar a warning for passive fighting.
At this moment, Roy suddenly took a big step and quickly approached Edgar. His speed was too fast, like a butterfly flitting through flowers, he flashed to Edgar's side and struck his shoulder.
Edgar could only constantly change his defensive direction, but he could never avoid Roy's punches. His shoulder was really taking a beating.
The audience in the arena could see that Roy was teasing Edgar in a unique way.
It didn't seem very ethical, but it was entertaining!
In competitive sports, being weak is the original sin. Only the strong deserve respect!
The cheers from the audience grew louder and louder.
Facing Roy's teasing, Edgar became more and more desperate as the fight went on, and eventually, he simply gave up on defense.
As a result, Roy ended the final with a heavy punch.
The next day...
A new family member suddenly joined the household, bringing some subtle changes to Roy's life.
"Roy, help take Emma to school!"
"Got it!"
Although this new family member was a cute little girl.
But for some reason, Roy always felt that this newcomer, little Emma, was a bit strange.
"Emma, do you need me to help you with your bag?"
Roy proactively reached out to Emma, but the little girl shook her head, politely refusing.
"No need, Brother Roy!"
Emma was always so polite, her upbringing was impeccable. She was so well-behaved that she didn't seem like an innocent and lively eight-year-old at all.
Roy felt that Emma was a bit too well-behaved. She had been living with them for several days without making a fuss or crying, and she didn't seem to care much about her father's affairs. It was really strange.
Considering this was a horror movie world, Roy suspected there was something wrong with Emma and wanted to make contact to see if she was a special individual.
However, Emma was quite resistant to being touched by others, and she wouldn't even let anyone touch her backpack, which was even more bizarre.
However, Philip and Sarah quite liked this well-behaved little girl. Philip had said more than once that Emma was much easier to handle than Roy was at that age.
This left Roy speechless.
"Brother Roy, this doesn't seem to be the way to school?"
"Oh, I need to pick up some other people first, and then I'll take you to school."
Upon hearing this, Emma began to probe.
The newest and most complete novels are first published here!
"Is it that sister we saw that day?"
"Yes, but there's another sister too."
Emma's expression changed subtly, but Roy didn't notice it because he was focused on driving.
The car soon arrived at Nidi's house. After honking the horn, Jennifer and Nidi came out of the house.
"Roy, is this little girl Emma who's temporarily staying at your house? She's so cute! Hello, my name is Nidi!"
"Yes, my parents have some things to do today, so I'm responsible for taking little Emma to school."
Nidi was seeing Emma for the first time and greeted her.
"Hello, Sister Nidi."
Emma maintained her impeccable demeanor.
The car started again, and the few of them chatted on the way, mainly the three adults talking while Emma listened.
"Roy, have you heard anything from Evans?"
"Evans reports to me every day, but there isn't much useful information yet. I guess the FBI's actions have made them more cautious."
Roy shrugged at Jennifer, indicating that the information from the dark web had been cut off again for the time being.
Emma keenly caught some keywords, but she said nothing.
"Roy, I've noticed that many of those related websites have also been shut down recently. Do you think they might be planning to stop?"
"I doubt it. They're real perverts and lunatics; they definitely won't be able to hold back for too long before acting again. In any case, you guys still need to be careful for a while. If they feel like they can't deal with me, they might target the people around me."
Roy glanced at Jennifer, who nodded.
With Lilith around, Jennifer and Nidi's safety was guaranteed.
The car soon arrived at the town's elementary school, and Emma got out.
"Hey, Emma, if anyone bullies you, just tell me. I'm the toughest guy in Oak Town."
Roy joked with Emma as she got out of the car, and she gave him a reserved smile.
"Thank you, Brother Roy."
Jennifer looked at Emma's receding figure in surprise.
"This kid is kind of weird."
Roy looked at Jennifer. The little vixen had a pretty sharp intuition, while Nidi next to her was a bit less perceptive.
"Weird? Maybe she's just not used to her new living environment yet."
After the auditorium attack, Oak High School had been closed for several days. Today was finally the first day back.
Some students with minor injuries, like Roy and his friends, were able to return to class, but nearly a third of the students were still in the hospital.
There weren't really any classes this morning; it was mainly a memorial service for the boy who died in the auditorium attack. Almost all the students who could attend were there.
During the memorial service, Roy noticed that Nancy's condition was a bit off.
Nancy was lucky enough to be one of the students who weren't injured, but she looked like she hadn't slept in days and seemed very tired.
"Hey, Nancy, what's wrong? Haven't you been sleeping well these past few days?"
Seeing Roy greet her, Nancy forced a smile.
"Yeah, the auditorium incident scared me, so I haven't been sleeping well these days."
That's what she said, but Roy felt like things weren't that simple.
At this moment, Carly and Peggy also came over.
"Roy, we haven't been sleeping well these past few days either. Why don't you care about us?"
Roy rolled his eyes. These two women were purely lusting after his good looks.
"Sure, then should we talk about that night when you called Jennifer?"
Upon hearing this, Carly and Peggy immediately backed down.
"Ah, I remembered something! Wade seems to be looking for me! Roy, we'll chat next time!"
The two of them fled the scene at lightning speed, wishing they had two more legs.
With the annoying people gone, Roy continued to chat with Nancy.
"Nancy, before Teacher Elizabeth took leave, she asked me to take extra care of you. If you have any trouble, just tell me."
Roy's words made Nancy hesitate. She really needed someone to confide in.
"Roy, do you believe in demons?"
Of course, he believed. He had even dealt with demons himself!
"I believe."
Nancy didn't expect Roy to say he believed at all and thought she had misheard.
"You believe?"
"Of course, I believe. I've even seen one with my own eyes."
As he spoke, Roy took the initiative to tell Nancy about the Halloween night incident. This story brought Roy and Nancy closer.
Nancy finally understood that she wasn't the only one who was different.
So, Nancy began to tell her own story.
"I used to live in Elm Street, and there was always a terrifying nursery rhyme..."
After hearing just a few lines, Roy's expression became strange.
Thanks to his increasingly high memory stat, Roy remembered which movie Nancy was from after just a few lines.
"A Nightmare on Elm Street," a national treasure-level horror movie series, with the first film released in 1984. It was very classic and also very old, which was why Roy didn't immediately remember when he saw Nancy.
However, if Roy saw Freddy, he would definitely be able to recall it instantly.
There was no other way. In this kind of horror movie, the villain was actually the real protagonist.
Roy didn't interrupt Nancy's confession and quietly listened to her tell her story.
"...After moving to Springwood, I thought I had completely gotten rid of Freddy, this nightmare. But after the auditorium attack, I started having strange dreams again!"
Here's another Isabella.
