The sudden sight of Needy's face startled Roy for a moment.
Pennywise seized this opportunity and scrambled towards the black pool.
By the time Roy regained his senses, the creature had already reached the edge of the black pool.
"Damn it!"
Roy quickly grabbed the Cursed Hair.
But Pennywise had already plunged into the black pool. Its strength and weight suddenly surged, catching Roy off guard, and he was pulled into the pool himself.
"Roy!"
Jennifer stood at the edge of the black pool, calling Roy's name, but the black water remained as still and reflective as a mirror, revealing nothing of what was happening beneath.
It was as if Roy and Pennywise had vanished into the black water.
"What do I do? What do I do? I can't lose Needy and Roy, I can't lose them!"
Jennifer clutched the friendship necklace around her neck, tears streaming down her face without her even realizing it.
Just then, the voice that often echoed in her dreams spoke in Jennifer's ear once more.
"Give me control of your body, and I can help you!"
"Okay! But you have to save Roy and Needy!"
Without the slightest hesitation, Jennifer relinquished control of her body. Her body twitched, her eyes rolled back, revealing the whites, and a sinister smile spread across her face.
"Ah, what truly touching and sincere emotions! Is every generation's 'Lilith' this emotionally charged?"
"Jennifer" wiped away the tears from the corner of her eyes and then licked her lips.
Looking down at the black pool, which was as dark and reflective as a mirror, "Jennifer" frowned slightly.
"So, it's Pennywise, what a troublesome little thing! But finding that boy shouldn't be too difficult, after all, he is Jennifer's first man."
"Jennifer" lifted her shirt, revealing her lower abdomen. A peculiar pattern emitting a pink glow appeared on her skin.
Placing her hand on the pink pattern, "Jennifer" closed her eyes and began to sense.
"Found him!"
What, then, was happening to Roy at the bottom of the pool?
The moment Roy entered the black pool, he realized it was saturated with fear. It dawned on him that this black pool was where Pennywise stored its запас of food.
Roy, who could also absorb fear, was instantly overwhelmed by the massive influx of fear energy.
Although Roy's Demon Child form could convert fear into his own power, everything had its limits.
Just like oxygen, which is essential for humans, too much oxygen can lead to oxygen toxicity, even causing shock.
Roy was now in a similar situation to oxygen toxicity. Entering such a fear-saturated environment for the first time had caused him to temporarily lose consciousness.
If no one woke Roy up, he might be defeated by Pennywise, who would likely recover soon.
Just at that moment, a certain consciousness entered Roy's brain and gave him a sharp mental slap.
He could also hear an alluring voice in his ear.
"Wake up, little one!"
Roy instantly regained consciousness, opening his eyes just in time to see Pennywise swimming towards him with its mouth wide open.
"You bastard!"
At that moment, Roy was furious. He quickly wrapped the Cursed Hair around Pennywise's neck and then pulled the creature, starting to swim towards the surface.
Naturally, Pennywise didn't want to be dragged out of the black pool again, so it swam deeper.
The two were locked in a struggle.
Just then, the voice from before echoed in Roy's ear again.
"Suck up all the fear in the water!"
This sentence reminded Roy.
That's right, Pennywise's power came from fear. If he absorbed all the fear, the creature would naturally lose its strength!
Roy relaxed his body and began to frantically absorb the fear energy in the water.
Pennywise noticed Roy's actions, but it couldn't stop him. It could only absorb the fear along with him.
But at this moment, Pennywise suddenly felt like its head had been hit hard, making it dizzy and unable to concentrate on absorbing fear.
After a while, the originally pitch-black pool gradually became clear, seeming to turn into ordinary water.
Then, Roy, in his Demon Child form, crawled out of the pool, dragging a pale clown with red hair behind him.
The fear energy in the black pool had been completely drained by Roy, and Pennywise, having lost its fear source, was as weak as a fish out of water.
Roy angrily picked up Pennywise, intending to end it once and for all, but he found the creature suddenly opening its mouth and starting to vomit.
Large amounts of black mucus poured out of Pennywise's mouth, and then it vomited up a person.
"Needy!"
Roy quickly rushed forward to check on the girl Pennywise had regurgitated. He found that Needy's breathing was steady, and her heartbeat and pulse were normal, as if she were asleep.
"She's fine. I advise you to quickly finish off Pennywise and not give it a chance to recover."
The familiar voice spoke again, but this time it didn't come from Roy's ear. Instead, it came directly from "Jennifer's" mouth.
"Jennifer? Why does your voice sound so... different?"
This made "Jennifer's" face darken.
"Mind your own business!"
Huh? Jennifer had never spoken so rudely before!
Roy looked at "Jennifer" with suspicion, feeling that her demeanor and posture were somewhat strange.
However, the most important thing right now was to deal with Pennywise. So, Roy retrieved the chainsaw sword from his inventory. Under the influence of his Demon Child form, the chainsaw sword burst into flames of hellfire.
This terrifying fire could incinerate most substances. Roy used the hellfire-engulfed chainsaw sword to cut Pennywise apart.
Soon, Roy received a system notification.
【Ding! Obtained Pennywise's Destiny Treasure Chest! Open it?】
This meant that Pennywise had been completely eliminated by Roy.
"Jennifer, what's wrong with you? Why are you acting so strange?"
After dealing with Pennywise, Roy immediately began to question "Jennifer."
"Honestly! Is this how you treat your savior?"
"Jennifer's" words made Roy pause.
"Are you saying you were the one who woke me up in the pool and spoke to me?"
"Yes, and I'm also the one who prevented Pennywise from absorbing fear."
At this point, Roy realized that someone else was controlling Jennifer's body.
"Madam, I am very grateful to you for saving me, but I hope you can return the body to Jennifer!"
Hearing this, "Jennifer" licked her lips.
"I finally managed to get out of that dark and dreary place. Can't you let me have a few days of fun? You men are so stingy!"
Roy frowned, about to retort, when Needy on the ground slowly woke up.
"Roy, Jennifer, I feel like I had a very, very long dream!"
Back in the office at Oakwood High, Elizabeth suddenly sensed something and sighed.
"Sigh, I told him to be careful recently because things are a bit tense, but he still made such a big commotion. Maybe I should go out of town for a while to lay low. But what excuse should I use for leave? I've got it! I'll say that brat got me pregnant, and I need to go to another state for an abortion!"
Abortion rights have always been a controversial issue in American law, with different states having different laws regarding abortion. In conservative states like Texas, any form of abortion is illegal.
However, in blue states like California, women have the right to choose to have an abortion.
After thinking it through, Elizabeth immediately made her stomach slightly protrude and headed straight for the principal's office.
Meanwhile, Roy, completely unaware that he had been framed by an unscrupulous teacher, had already taken Needy back to the hospital.
Although Pennywise, the main culprit, had been successfully dealt with, Needy was still very weak and needed to rest and recover in the hospital for a while.
Arthur and Rebecca were extremely grateful to Roy for bringing their daughter back, but Roy wasn't feeling particularly happy.
Needy had been successfully rescued, but Jennifer was now in trouble.
"Let's go, take me home."
"Jennifer" got into Roy's secondhand yellow Chevrolet Camaro as if she knew the way. She had somehow acquired a lollipop and was sucking on it in a way that resembled maintaining a gear shift.
"Who exactly are you?"
"Jennifer" looked at Roy with a slightly provocative gaze.
"Does it really matter? Isn't my body still Jennifer's body? Isn't she beautiful?"
The latest and fastest novel updates are on [website name]!
"Jennifer" struck a very alluring pose, fully displaying her physical assets, including her incredibly slender waist and those unbelievably long legs.
【Discovered special character Lilith. You can absorb Fate Power to obtain rewards!】
Lilith? Was this that Lilith from legend?
This name had quite a history. Roy knew several stories related to this name.
Something about the first witch, the queen of demons, the progenitor of vampires...
He just didn't know which version of Lilith this was.
Roy looked seriously at this "Jennifer" and pushed the long leg that had been draped over him aside.
"I care more about Jennifer's soul!"
"Jennifer" pouted.
"Could you maybe control your lower half before you say things like that next time?"
Well, Roy's body was being quite honest. Faced with "Jennifer's" seduction, it had already quietly stood at attention.
"Ahem! Never mind that! It represents my loyalty to Jennifer's body! Loyalty!"
"Is that so?"
"Jennifer" leaned closer to Roy and sniffed, making a face of distaste.
"But I can smell the scent of infidelity on you, and it happened just before dawn! Hehe, you've been very busy indeed!"
Roy's heart skipped a beat. He hadn't expected this "Jennifer" to have such a keen sense of smell. However, he had a very good reason for what had happened.
"I had to sell my body to save Needy!"
Looking at Roy with suspicion and a face of righteous indignation, "Jennifer" rolled her eyes.
"Alright, I'll let you off the hook this time."
Wait a minute, wasn't he supposed to be interrogating her? How did it turn into her questioning him?
Roy realized he was being led by "Jennifer" and quickly got back on track.
"You still haven't told me who you really are!"
"I am Jennifer's other side. You can think of me as Jennifer, or you can call me by another name, Lilith."
Roy, his mind filled with thoughts, took "Jennifer," or rather, Lilith, home.
He had originally planned to go to Elizabeth's place again to ask about Lilith, but the thought of his kidneys possibly not being able to handle it made him decide to go back and rest for the night and ask the next day during class.
He should probably open the treasure chests first.
Unfortunately, there was no little cat around to rub his hands on. He wondered if he would get anything good.
"System, open Berial's Conquest Treasure Chest!"
【Opening Berial's Conquest Treasure Chest...】
【Gained 1 point in Strength!】
【Gained 1 point in Agility!】
【Gained 1 point in Constitution!】
【Gained 1 point in Memory!】
【Gained 1 point in Spirit!】
【Gained 1 point in Willpower!】
Nice!
Although he didn't get any special items, gaining +1 to all attributes was excellent.
Roy liked this kind of straightforward stat increase. Only with sufficient stats could he压住 a certain demon lord.
"System, now open Pennywise's Destiny Treasure Chest!"
【Opening Pennywise's Destiny Treasure Chest...】
【Gained 3 points in Constitution!】
【Gained 2 points in Agility!】
【Obtained special ability: Shadow of Fear!】
Jackpot!
Roy quickly checked the description of Shadow of Fear.
【Shadow of Fear: You are now the nightmare of all sentient beings, the shadow of fear!
Passive effect: Greatly increases the range and effectiveness of fear collection.
Active effect: Can consume stored fear energy to use special abilities.】
This new ability actually synergized with his Demon Child form!
The Demon Child's fear collection range was only about a few dozen to a hundred meters, basically within his line of sight, so the amount of fear collected was relatively small.
But after obtaining the Shadow of Fear ability, Roy's fear collection range suddenly expanded to the size of Waterfall Town.
Even now, as Roy sat at home doing nothing, his fear pool was increasing from time to time.
Moreover, with Shadow of Fear, Roy had another fear pool, essentially giving him two mana bars, which greatly increased his options.
However, the description of Shadow of Fear's active effect was somewhat vague, and Roy was very curious to know what kind of effect it was.
At this moment, a daring little Jerry ran past Roy.
Well, this was a very common occurrence in the American countryside. You should be thankful if it wasn't an alligator or a brown bear entering your house.
Roy grabbed the little Jerry on the ground, preparing to use it to test the active ability of Shadow of Fear.
Anyway, he had absorbed a large amount of fear in the black pool, enough for him to transform into a Demon Child for several hours. Using a little bit wouldn't hurt.
"Look into my eyes!"
Little Jerry was already very nervous from being caught. When it saw Roy's golden pupils, it immediately let out a sharp squeak and struggled violently.
A few seconds later, Little Jerry went still.
"Scared to death?"
Roy hadn't expected the active effect of Shadow of Fear to be so powerful that it could directly scare Little Jerry to death.
However, Jerry was a creature that was naturally timid and prone to stress-induced death.
He really needed to test this on a human!
Witch Lilith (Original Character)
Chapter 87: A Bolt from the Blue
The next day, Roy still drove his secondhand yellow Chevrolet Camaro to pick up Jennifer, even though the one currently controlling Jennifer's body was a woman named Lilith.
"I thought you weren't coming today," Lilith said, still sucking on a lollipop. This woman seemed to really like lollipops; he wasn't sure if it was the taste or the shape she preferred.
Roy noticed that Lilith was wearing makeup today, looking very glamorous, and her clothes were particularly revealing.
"Hmph, when are you going to give Jennifer her body back?" Roy didn't give Lilith a friendly look, but she didn't care at all. She took off her shoes again and rested her long legs on him.
"I'll give Jennifer her body back when I'm done playing. Don't you like me?" Lilith wiggled her red-nailed toes on Roy's gear shift, almost causing him to crash into another car.
"Damn it, stop messing around! That's dangerous!" Roy quickly moved Lilith's feet away and adjusted the gear shift.
"Hehe, you clearly like it!" Compared to the rather cold Jennifer, Lilith was indeed much more enthusiastic and outgoing. This contrast between cold and hot was like an ice-fire dragon...
Cough cough! It must have been the gear shift that gave Roy strange thoughts.
Just then, someone knocked on Roy's car window.
"Hey, Roy, getting some morning exercise in the car?" Roy turned his head and saw it was his old friend, Sheriff Hughes.
After the Christmas break, Hughes had basically recovered and had started doing some patrol work again.
Right now, Sheriff Hughes just happened to be passing by and saw Roy's car stopped in the middle of the road, so he came over to check. Then he saw Roy and Lilith in a somewhat suggestive position inside the car.
"No, I just got a little distracted and had to brake suddenly," Roy explained. Sheriff Hughes naturally didn't believe him. He glanced at Roy and Lilith and gave them a knowing smile.
"Young love, huh? But you two should be careful." Sheriff Hughes winked, seemingly implying something.
This made Roy feel very awkward, so he quickly changed the subject. "Sheriff Hughes, has anything been happening lately? Why are the police suddenly patrolling and setting up checkpoints at the edge of town?"
"Oh, recently there have been disappearances in several surrounding towns. We suspect a professional human trafficking organization has entered Texas, so we're checking strangers at the town entrances."
So something like that was happening? Life in America was indeed a hot mess!
"Roy, if you see any strangers acting suspiciously, be sure to notify me."
"I will."
Roy restarted the car and continued driving towards Oak High. A pest control company truck drove past them in the opposite direction.
Looking in the rearview mirror, Roy saw Sheriff Hughes stop the pest control truck for inspection.
Ten minutes later, the Chevrolet Camaro arrived at Oak High, and Roy parked the car.
"We're here! Lilith, you're controlling Jennifer's body right now, so you better not cause any trouble!" Roy had a feeling that Lilith definitely wouldn't behave herself, so he gave her a warning.
Lilith poked Roy's chest with her foot and replied with the lollipop in her mouth, "Can you tell me what you consider 'causing trouble'?"
After saying that, without waiting for Roy's answer, Lilith put on her shoes and sashayed out of the car.
It was the peak time for students arriving at school, and there were many students at the school gate. Then, these students saw the former head cheerleader walking towards the school with the gait of a Victoria's Secret angel.
Her glamorous makeup, confident smile, and near-perfect figure instantly stunned some of the naive high school boys who hadn't seen much of the world.
Not just the high school boys, Roy even saw some high school girls looking dumbfounded.
At this moment, Lilith's demeanor and movements were truly captivating to both genders, a charm that transcended sexuality.
Then, Lilith blew a kiss at a lower-grade boy. The boy immediately had a nosebleed and fainted in blissful happiness.
It had begun, as expected!
Roy was speechless. He was about to go and stop Lilith when he was called out by someone unexpected.
"Mr. Blake, I have something I need to discuss with you."
The person who called out to Roy was the principal of Oak High, and his expression was very serious.
"What is it, Mr. Thomas?" Roy thought the principal had found out about him skipping class yesterday, but even if he had, the principal shouldn't need to get involved, right?
"Come with me to the office."
Going to the office to talk meant it must be something very important.
Roy glanced at Lilith, who was spreading her charm everywhere, and reluctantly followed the principal to the office.
Principal Thomas asked Roy to sit down and then let out a deep sigh. "Mr. Blake, I originally thought you would be one of Oak High's most outstanding alumni, but I never expected you to do something like this!"
Roy scratched his head, trying to recall what he had done at school to make Thomas so angry.
Thinking about what a certain blonde girl had done the night before last, could it be Carly causing trouble again?
"Principal Thomas, did Carly say something?"
Hearing this, Thomas frowned, his expression becoming even more unpleasant. "What, something happened to Carly too?"
Huh? It wasn't related to Carly?
"Wait a minute, something must be wrong! Principal Thomas, please explain to me exactly what happened!"
Thomas originally wanted to slam his hand on the desk to show his principal's authority, but seeing Roy's strong build, his raised hand gently fell back down.
"Yesterday afternoon, Ms. Hale suddenly came to me, saying she's pregnant with your child and needs to take leave to go to California for an abortion!"
Roy: ???
At that moment, Roy thought he had misheard, or that Thomas hadn't phrased it correctly.
"What did you say? Elizabeth is pregnant with my child? That's absolutely impossible!"
"Mr. Blake, do you have an inappropriate relationship with Ms. Hale?"
Roy opened his mouth, but he couldn't refute that. The problem was that Elizabeth was a Hell Lord; how could she get pregnant so easily?
And could hospitals in California even perform abortions on demons? That was too outrageous!
Unfortunately, he couldn't say these self-defending words to Thomas, so he could only be honest. "Okay, we did have a relationship."
Thomas looked at Roy with an envious gaze. Clearly, he also had some intentions towards the beautiful Elizabeth, but unfortunately, his student Roy had beaten him to it.
"And I'm guessing you didn't use any protection!"
Indeed, both times Roy had gone against the teacher were without protection, which left him even more speechless.
Thomas took a deep breath. "Mr. Blake, your current image is very important to Oak High. I will suppress this matter, and I hope you will be more careful in the future!"
Roy finally walked out of the principal's office with a dark face.
Because Roy was currently Oak High's star student, which was related to enrollment in the second half of the year, Thomas was willing to help him suppress this scandal.
However, Roy still had to pay some price, such as participating in some school promotional activities and actively promoting the school during interviews.
After coming out, the more Roy thought about it, the more he felt something was wrong. He felt like he had been set up by Elizabeth.
So, taking advantage of the time before class started, he immediately found a place to call Elizabeth.
This time, the call went through.
"Hello, is this Teacher Elizabeth?" Elizabeth's lazy voice came from the other end of the phone.
"Is that little Roy? What do you need?" Hearing this, Roy felt a surge of anger.
"Don't you know what's going on? For fuck's sake, if you need to take leave, just take leave. Why did you have to say you're pregnant with my child and going for an abortion?"
"But yesterday morning, you did inject a lot of positive energy into my body!" This statement wasn't wrong, causing Roy's momentum to falter.
"But you couldn't have gotten pregnant so quickly, let alone need an abortion!"
Elizabeth heard that Roy was genuinely angry, so she stopped teasing him.
The newest novels are first published here!
"Hehe! Who told you to make such a big commotion yesterday? I told you, things have been a bit tense lately, so it's best to keep a low profile. I'm guessing that troublesome people will be coming to Waterfall Town in a few days, so I need to go out and avoid the spotlight."
So that was the case. From this perspective, it was indeed Roy who had brought the trouble.
But Roy had no choice. To fight Pennywise, he had to release the full power of the Son of the Devil, otherwise he would have been the one to die.
"Then you still shouldn't have used that as an excuse to take leave! Do you know what the principal said to me today?"
"Well, I just got lazy to think of other reasons after I came up with that one. Okay, little Roy, I'm driving. We can talk more when I get back."
"Wait, hello!"
Elizabeth hung up the phone directly. When Roy called back, it showed that her phone was turned off.
"Fuck!" Roy cursed under his breath and walked towards the classroom.
Inside the classroom, Lilith had her legs propped up on the desk, generously displaying her slender, beautiful legs. The boys in the class were staring with wide eyes.
Seeing this made Roy's face darken even more.
"Cough cough!" Roy coughed and walked into the classroom. The boys in his class immediately felt a chill run down their spines, and they quickly looked down, minding their own business.
For some reason, Roy's classmates felt a bit scared when they saw him.
Especially Carly, the one who had caused trouble for Roy before. She had been somewhat relieved that Lilith hadn't bothered her.
But now, seeing Roy walk into the classroom, Carly was so scared she almost peed her pants.
Roy returned to his seat with a dark face and slapped Lilith's fair thigh. "You better behave yourself!"
"Ah~" Lilith let out a very seductive moan, it was hard to tell if it was intentional or deliberate.
The students in the front row shivered when they heard the sound, but no one dared to turn around. Only Nancy looked back at Roy with surprise, wondering what he was doing.
Lilith's cheeks were slightly flushed, her teeth gently biting her red lips, and her eyes seemed to be able to drip water, looking very pleased.
Hmm, could this woman be a masochist? It was quite possible!
Roy recalled Lilith's previous behavior. It seemed she was deliberately provoking him. Was it just to stimulate him to hit her?
Just as he was thinking this, Roy saw Lilith looking at him with a moist gaze, as if encouraging him to continue.
"Fuck! This is school, don't you dare cause any trouble!" Roy didn't let Lilith get her way. He felt that if he laid a hand on her, it would only make her enjoy it.
"How boring!" Lilith withdrew her legs somewhat disappointedly and sat up straight.
Just then, the bell rang, and the first class of the morning officially began.
Roy felt that today was particularly long because he had to pay attention to Lilith's antics every moment, lest she cause any trouble.
Therefore, Roy didn't even feel like practicing his boxing after school. He just wanted to take Lilith home quickly.
However, there was still one thing to do before going home.
"Thompson, are you free on the evening of January 12th?" Roy's invitation seemed to cause some misunderstanding for Nancy. She secretly glanced at Lilith in the distance, who was licking a lollipop and exuding pheromones, and then replied with a flushed face, "Yes, I'm free!"
Seeing that Nancy seemed to have misunderstood, Roy quickly explained, "It's like this, Thompson. January 12th is Niddy's birthday, and I've prepared a birthday surprise for her. Would you like to come?"
Niddy actually wasn't very popular at school, but since Roy had asked, no one dared to refuse him.
Hearing this, Nancy was visibly disappointed, but she still nodded. "I'll go. By the way, why hasn't Lesnicki been to school these past two days?"
"She's been sick recently, but I think she should recover by the 12th."
"I see. Blake, thank you for inviting me." Nancy was quite polite and even bowed to Roy.
It was hard not to feel some goodwill towards such a polite, pure, and lovely girl.
At this moment, Roy remembered Elizabeth mentioning that there was a demonic aura on Nancy.
Could such a pure and lovely girl really have a connection with demons?
Roy was a bit suspicious. Since he had run into Nancy today, he might as well inquire about her situation.
After all, Roy had previously promised Elizabeth to deal with the problem concerning Nancy.
"Nancy, can I call you that?"
"Yes, and can I call you Roy?" Nancy seemed a bit shy, because in Western culture, calling someone by their first name was a sign of closeness, while strangers with a casual relationship would address each other by their last names.
"Of course! Nancy, I'm a little curious, why did you transfer schools in the last half year before your senior year graduation?"
Hearing this, Nancy's expression became painful, as if she didn't want to talk about it.
"I'm sorry, did I mention something that made you sad?"
"I really don't want to bring up those things again, Roy." Seeing that Nancy didn't want to mention the past, Roy had no choice but to temporarily give up probing.
"Then forget it. Don't forget January 12th. I'll go first, goodbye!"
Roy said goodbye to Nancy and then went to Lilith.
"Are you trying to hit on her?"
"What's it to you?"
"I'm just asking for Jennifer, it's nothing. But that little girl is a bit troublesome, you better be careful." Roy's heart skipped a beat. Lilith's perception seemed particularly strong, perhaps she could discover something.
However, how to get Lilith to help was also a problem.
Nancy (I feel like she's a bit like Joey Wong)
