In a secluded, dilapidated church, one high-pitched scream after another echoed.
When Roy regained consciousness, he saw Isabella riding him like a Valkyrie.
The black, tight-fitting, holy nun's habit billowed like towering waves, distracting Roy so much that he couldn't even think about what was happening. His eyes were almost spinning.
Isabella's hands were clasped together at her chest in a praying gesture, but her pupils were filled with pink hearts.
This extreme contrast felt like a Berserk buff had been applied to Roy. His attack speed instantly doubled, and a flurry of combo moves even caused Isabella to briefly float in the air.
"Ahhh—"
Isabella cried out, her head thrown back, as if a fireworks display had started in her mind.
But Roy didn't stop his assault. His 40 points of constitution and the 32-centimeter length of his weapon were pushed to their limits at this moment.
Isabella felt as if her soul had floated back to heaven, so comfortable, so happy.
Wait!
Something didn't feel right!
Perhaps the intense sensory pleasure had broken through something, allowing Isabella to regain consciousness. She then realized she was riding Roy like a shameless, skilled woman.
"No—what's going on! What did you do to me!"
Isabella covered her face, unable to accept this reality. However, her movements didn't stop at all, as if her body had a mind of its own.
Roy was at a critical moment and didn't bother thinking about anything else. He just went for it.
He'd save the thinking for the afterglow.
"Take this, Isabella!"
"Wait, no!"
It was like the moment of a volcanic eruption, bringing immense impact.
*[Ding! Obtained Michael's Conquest Treasure Chest! Open it now?]*
*[Ding! Obtained Isabella's Conquest Treasure Chest! Open it now?]*
What a thoroughly enjoyable showdown!
But why did he get two Conquest Treasure Chests?
Could it be that Isabella, like Jennifer, also had two souls in one body?
So, he fought two bosses in one battle?
Just as he was wondering, Roy saw Isabella looking at him with a frosty expression.
"Wait a minute, Ms. Isabella, I tried to dissuade you! You were the one who took the initiative!"
This made Isabella's expression even worse. She suddenly raised her fist and punched Roy in the jaw. Unfortunately, Roy's constitution was too high, and one punch obviously wasn't enough to knock him out.
So, Isabella raised her fist again. This time, she used holy power and finally managed to stun Roy.
After knocking Roy out, Isabella tore open his shirt. With a swipe of her hand, she found Beryl's mark and a pink magic circle.
"Beryl? Or Lilith?"
At this moment, Isabella already knew who had schemed against her. That's right, it was Lilith.
Although Beryl was a demon lord, she didn't have the ability to manipulate desire like this. But Lilith did.
That night, after Lilith finished fighting Roy, she took advantage of his carelessness and cast a spell on his lower abdomen and weapon.
And Beryl's mark happened to cover up this spell, preventing Isabella from noticing it.
"Damn it, if it weren't for that fight with Samael..."
After understanding the truth, Isabella really wanted to kill Roy directly. But as a fair angel of judgment, she couldn't lay a hand on a good person.
Otherwise, Michael would be no different from the fallen angels in hell.
Helpless, the only thing Isabella could do was leave.
Thwack!
Isabella gritted her teeth, trying hard to disengage from Roy's weapon. Even in his unconscious state, Roy's weapon maintained its fighting power.
Fortunately, Isabella had extraordinary willpower. If she hadn't controlled herself and sat back down, it would have been a tragedy.
After barely standing up, Isabella limped out of the dilapidated church.
After leaving the church, Isabella suddenly began to talk to herself. A cold voice and a gentle voice alternated from her lips.
"Isabella, I need to sleep for a long time. I'll have to leave everything to you next!"
"Lord Michael, how did things turn out like this?"
"It was Lilith's desire magic, and Beryl's mark. That kid is the son of a demon! If it weren't for that battle with Samael, I wouldn't have easily fallen for Lilith's magic!"
"Oh heavens, the son of a demon! Lord Michael, are we just going to ignore him?"
Michael was silent for a long time, then answered Isabella.
"Since there are fallen angels, why can't there be righteous demons? Perhaps he is the one who will change heaven and hell."
With that, Michael let out a long sigh and then fell silent.
Control of the body returned to the nun Isabella. She continued to limp firmly into the distance, but after only a few steps, she tripped and fell.
The nun was very weak now. She had been seriously injured after the fierce battle with Samael, then accidentally stabbed in the private club, and just now, Roy had stabbed her thousands of times with his 32-centimeter weapon. It was already a testament to her willpower that she could even stand up, let alone walk.
"Damn it, my body!"
Suddenly, a pair of hands lifted Isabella up from behind.
"Ms. Isabella, I..."
Roy hadn't actually been knocked unconscious. After all, Isabella's body couldn't exert any force at that time. Who could exert force while being clamped around a weapon?
He mainly pretended to be unconscious because he was afraid Isabella would keep hitting him if he didn't.
Now seeing Isabella in such a disheveled state, Roy couldn't help but come out and help her.
"You, you stay away from me!"
Unexpectedly, after seeing Roy, Isabella shrank back like a startled little rabbit, completely lacking the aura of a female warrior she had before.
Roy scratched his head, a little bewildered. This was the first time a woman had reacted to him this way.
This made Roy realize that the person inside this nun might have changed.
"Ms. Isabella, I don't have any bad intentions. I just want to give you a ride."
Isabella's face was flushed, and her eyes kept darting around, looking very scared.
"I, I don't need your help!"
Roy was a bit helpless. Isabella was already injured, and she had just suffered severe trauma and heavy bleeding. There was no way she could walk out of this wilderness alone.
"Let me take you anyway!"
Roy picked up Isabella without giving her a chance to object.
At first, the nun was very scared and struggled violently. This behavior actually backfired.
Isabella's figure was too good, and this only made her more alluring.
However, after realizing that Roy wasn't doing anything to her, Isabella stopped struggling.
Roy placed Isabella in the passenger seat of the Chevrolet Camaro and then asked her.
"Where do you want to go?"
"To, to the nearest town, please."
Isabella answered Roy timidly in a gentle voice, making him even more certain that a different soul had taken over.
"I'm sorry about what happened just now. I wasn't aware of it either."
"I, I know."
By the time Roy drove Isabella to the nearby small town, it was already bright.
"If you run into any trouble, you can call me on this number."
Although he knew that the soul of the archangel was still residing in the nun's body, Roy still handed Isabella a piece of paper with his phone number on it.
Isabella hesitated for a moment, then took the paper.
"Thank you. I hope you can always be a good person."
Isabella gave Roy a slight bow and then struggled out of the car.
Only after watching the nun's receding figure disappear did Roy start the car and return to Waterfall Town.
From what he had heard while pretending to be unconscious, Roy had already guessed that Lilith was behind all of this. He now wished he could immediately appear in front of Lilith, hang her up, and whip her to death.
No, if he did that, Lilith would only enjoy it. He should just lock her in a box!
Hmm, that didn't seem right either. This woman was a complete masochist. Even being locked away would probably feel good to her. She was invincible!
Roy drove his second-hand yellow Chevrolet Camaro back to Waterfall Town. After changing his clothes, he went to Niddy's house to find Lilith.
The little loli had already been sent to school by Niddy's parents, so he didn't need to worry about her.
"Jennifer, you immediately get Lilith out here!"
Oak Tree High School was still on break today, so Jennifer and Niddy were both at home.
"What happened?"
Jennifer looked at Roy in surprise, curious as to why he was angry.
"Anyway, you immediately call out Lilith! Niddy, could you please step out for a moment and give Lilith and me some private space!"
Niddy had already learned about Lilith from Jennifer, so although she was a bit curious, she obediently left the room.
Seeing how angry Roy was, Jennifer had no choice but to close her eyes and call Lilith out.
Soon, Jennifer's aura underwent a tremendous change. Lilith was now in control of her body.
"Roy, what's so urgent?"
Lilith's response was Roy's hand gripping her neck.
However, Roy still didn't use his full strength, because he cared about Jennifer's body, even though her special witch constitution wouldn't allow her to die from this.
"Why did you release magic to scheme against me!"
Lilith didn't struggle when she heard this. Instead, her eyes lit up.
"So, it was successful?"
Lilith's first thought was this, which made Roy even angrier.
He had almost thought he was going to be killed by Michael.
"Did you want to kill me? Or should I kill you first!"
Lilith smiled charmingly and licked the back of Roy's hand with her tongue.
"No, I understand Michael. That guy is full of righteousness and wouldn't hurt any good person."
"What exactly do you mean?"
"Hehe, didn't I say I'd give you a gift that night? And you accepted it yourself!"
Lilith's words brought Roy's memory back to that night. He did indeed remember her saying something like that.
"Explain to me, how is that a gift?"
"Hehe, you definitely haven't properly felt the changes in your body. That was the blood of the holy virgin, the human form of Archangel Michael. It can have a huge effect on any living being."
Hearing this, Roy looked at the system and finally noticed a notification he hadn't seen before.
*[Obtained special ability: Blood of an Angel!]*
He actually obtained a special ability?
*[Blood of an Angel: The blood of a righteous angel flows within your body. One day, you will be able to transform into a true angel and soar through the sky.*
*Passive effect: Slightly increases magic resistance, shortens the duration of negative effects, and allows you to gain Righteousness Points when killing evil creatures.*
*Active effect: Consumes collected Righteousness Points to enter the Angelic Descent state, greatly increasing physical attributes. When the collected Righteousness Points reach a certain amount, activating the active effect will allow you to use some angelic abilities.]*
This special ability looked like an angel version of Son of a Demon. It was indeed a good ability. Even the passive effects were excellent.
It was just that using the active effect felt like it would conflict with Son of a Demon.
Plus, he had gotten two Conquest Treasure Chests at once. Lilith's gift was quite substantial.
However, this didn't make up for Lilith's mistake of hiding things from him.
"Why did you do that!"
"Roy, I wonder if you've ever heard of the Nephilim?"
The Key of Solomon immediately reacted.
The Nephilim originally referred to the offspring of angels and mortals. It had the meaning of giants, but also rebellion and fall.
In the story of the Bible, God obviously didn't allow the existence of such beings as the Nephilim, so he sent down a great flood to cleanse all the Nephilim and drove those who didn't die into hell.
Many fallen angels were originally Nephilim.
The latest novels are first published on [website address]!
"God feared the potential of the Nephilim and almost wiped out the entire race. But I know that the strongest Nephilim should actually be a hybrid of angels, demons, and humans. You have human blood, as well as the blood of Beryl and the blood of Michael... I just tried it casually, but I didn't expect you to actually succeed. I think you will definitely be able to obtain power beyond God!"
Lilith's face was full of fervor. This was the first time Roy had seen her show such an expression.
Roy threw Lilith heavily to the ground. He wouldn't easily believe her words again.
"I don't need you to manipulate my life!"
Lilith lay prostrate on the ground very obediently, like a pet cat.
"Of course, Lord Roy, you are my master!"
Hiss, could it really be like this?
Roy was speechless for a moment.
"This is your last chance. If you dare to deceive me again, I will pull you out of Jennifer's body and kill you completely!"
Lilith actually stuck out her tongue and licked Roy's shoes.
"My master, I will always be loyal to you!"
Roy was almost driven crazy by Lilith's antics. Indeed, he was still too kind.
"Get up! What did you want Jennifer to tell me earlier?"
Lilith stood up obediently.
"Master, the little girl you brought here a couple of days ago seems to be an unawakened witch."
Hearing this, Roy was a bit surprised.
"You mean Emma? Wait, don't call me master. Jennifer might hear!"
"Hehe, actually, I can shield Jennifer's senses."
Lilith looked at Roy seductively, but Roy still gritted his teeth and refused.
"Call me by name. I don't want to hide anything from Jennifer!"
"Okay, Master Roy, I was talking about that Emma."
"Is there a problem with an unawakened witch?"
"There's no problem with an unawakened witch, but once a witch awakens, it might attract the Witch's Union, and they are the real trouble. Because my daughter should be in this Witch's Union!"
Unsurprisingly, the case of the private club still couldn't be covered up. After all, more than a dozen important figures from the political and business worlds had died, along with dozens of security guards. That didn't even count the injured club staff.
It would be a miracle if this could be kept quiet.
Naturally, Keller had played a part in this. Roy had given her the hard drive he had taken from the club, and she returned to Los Angeles. Not long after, a big news story broke.
Coupled with Elena's subsequent investigation at the private club, a storm was successfully stirred up in Texas.
It was just a lot of thunder and very little rain.
In the end, only Isabella and the masked Roy were put on the wanted list, while the dark web, the mastermind behind it all, disappeared from all the reports.
However, Roy received a call from Elena, saying that a certain organization had been warned and would lie low for a while.
Sure enough, Keller still hadn't succeeded completely, but at least she had pried open some cracks.
After the dark web club incident, Roy finally ushered in a period of peace.
Every day was just going to class, getting out of class, practicing boxing, and occasionally teasing Jennifer, Niddy, and Nancy.
Moreover, Wade had recently started shipping, and dividends were gradually being given to Roy, which made his wallet start to bulge.
Oh, and there was one very important thing: opening the treasure chests.
*[Opening Michael's Conquest Treasure Chest...]*
*[Gained 5 points of Strength!]*
*[Gained 5 points of Agility!]*
*[Gained 5 points of Constitution!]*
*[Gained 5 points of Memory!]*
*[Gained 5 points of Spirit!]*
*[Gained 5 points of Willpower!]*
*[Obtained special ability: Eye of Judgment!]*
Just like Beryl's Conquest Treasure Chest, Michael also gave +5 to all attributes and a special ability.
This allowed most of Roy's attributes to cross the 30-point mark, with only his Memory attribute still a bit short at 28 points.
*[Eye of Judgment: God bestowed upon Michael, the guardian of Eden, a pair of eyes that could see through all sins. Michael has always used these eyes to judge humanity, but the uses of these eyes are more than Michael imagined.]*
After obtaining this special ability, Roy could check the good and evil of others by consuming spiritual power, distinguishing them through the aura around their bodies.
Ordinary people had a white aura, good people emitted a golden light, and criminals emitted a red light.
The deeper the degree, the more brilliant the light on their bodies.
For example, because Roy had killed many sinners, the golden light on his body was very bright, which was also why Michael had let him go.
This ability could be used in conjunction with the Blood of an Angel that Roy had previously obtained, so he wouldn't kill the wrong people.
It was just that the Eye of Judgment consumed a lot of spiritual power and couldn't be used frequently.
*[Opening Isabella's Conquest Treasure Chest...]*
*[Gained 1 point of Spirit!]*
*[Gained 3 points of Willpower!]*
After that was the nun Isabella's Conquest Treasure Chest, which only yielded four attribute points.
Because Michael's Conquest Treasure Chest had such a huge reward, Roy didn't care what Isabella's chest contained.
However, the 3 points of Willpower did push Roy's Willpower attribute to 39 points, just 1 point away from 40.
Time quickly came to early March. By this time, the weather had begun to warm up, and Roy began to prepare to visit the University of California, Los Angeles, also known as UCLA.
He had to go. Coach Lambert's senior brother, Alan Berg, was afraid that Roy would be poached by other universities and had urged him several times.
So, Roy had to ask his homeroom teacher, Elizabeth, for a long leave of absence.
It wasn't a big problem, because Roy was a sports student. Even if he failed all his academic subjects, he could still be admitted to university and even get a scholarship.
Jennifer and Niddy were different. They had to prepare well for the SAT exams to avoid any accidents.
Elizabeth had also just returned to work today, after disappearing for a month somewhere.
Knock, knock, knock!
"Come in."
When Roy entered the office, he saw Elizabeth intently looking at some documents.
Thinking about it, after taking a month-long leave, she would have to look at the teaching progress when she returned.
"How is it you? You startled me!"
As a result, when Elizabeth looked up and saw that it was Roy who had come in, she immediately threw the documents aside, put her legs on the desk, and entered a state of complete relaxation.
Okay, this was the Elizabeth Roy knew, the true face of the Slothful King.
However, Elizabeth always wore tight, super-short pencil skirts to work, and this action revealed some "absolute territory."
"Ahem, Teacher Elizabeth, I'm here to ask for a leave of absence!"
"Close the door and come over here to talk!"
Roy closed the office door, walked over to Elizabeth, and her gaze suddenly became very dangerous. Then, she suddenly grabbed Roy's tie, pulled him in front of her, and sniffed him.
"Hmm? Little Roy, why do I smell a familiar scent on you?"
Was Elizabeth's nose so sensitive? Was she a demon or a dog?
"Judging by your expression, you seem to be thinking about something not very good?"
"Nothing like that! I only ever think about how great Teacher Elizabeth is!"
Roy looked at Elizabeth solemnly, speaking as if it were the truth.
Elizabeth affectionately pinched Roy's nose.
"Well said! You should say more of that in the future! But you might not know, I also possess the power of lies. No one can lie in front of me."
Roy recalled the information in the Key of Solomon. The Seven Deadly Sins weren't just the seven original sins, but also included things related to them.
For example, Beryl's title of Slothful King also included lies related to laziness.
Stretching lazily, Elizabeth stood up, pushed Roy down onto the chair, and looked at him with a scrutinizing gaze.
"Tell me, what interesting things happened during the days I was away?"
Roy scratched his head and told her about what happened with Isabella, but he omitted Lilith's role in it.
After listening to Roy, Elizabeth was silent for a while, then suddenly burst into wild laughter.
"Wahahaha..."
This laughter was even more exaggerated than the hellish jokes Roy had told her on Halloween night.
There was a knock on the door, as if someone passing by had been startled by Elizabeth's wild laughter.
"Ms. Elizabeth, are you alright?"
"I'm fine, I just heard a particularly funny joke."
After saying that, Elizabeth immediately set up a barrier to prevent the sound from escaping.
Immediately afterward, Elizabeth sat on Roy's lap, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Good boy, I knew I didn't misjudge you. You did a fantastic job! I won't have to worry about being bored for the next hundred years! Oh, right, what did you say you wanted to see me about?"
The warmth and softness in his arms made Roy a little restless.
"Uh, I need to ask for a long leave of absence to go to California."
"A long leave, huh? Approved! But before you leave, aren't you going to accept a special reward from your teacher?"
Elizabeth wiggled her "taillights."
Roy loved rewards the most! Especially rewards from a Great Demon Lord!
What could it be? It's so hard to guess!
Chapter 111: Willie's Wonderland
A yellow Chevrolet Camaro sped down a straight highway, with nothing but desert on either side – a classic American West scene.
Although the scenery was rather dull, the occupants of the car were in high spirits.
Roy was driving, Heather sat in the passenger seat, and Penny was in the back, hugging him.
Heather had been busy with the Sawyer family business lately, so she hadn't been able to spend much time with Roy.
Fortunately, with Penny's help, things had been sorted out, and the two of them were finally free.
It just so happened that Roy had to go to Los Angeles, so he brought both girls along for company on the long drive.
After all, the distance from Waterfall Town to Los Angeles was nearly 2000 kilometers, and even flying would take a considerable amount of time, let alone Roy's preference for road trips.
This time, Roy's journey would start from Waterfall Town, pass through New Mexico and Arizona, and finally reach Los Angeles in southwestern California.
With two beautiful women by his side, even the most boring journey would become interesting.
They set off early in the morning and, after speeding along nearly empty highways for over ten hours, Roy and the girls successfully passed through New Mexico and entered Arizona.
It was around this point that Penny's mood suddenly started to dip, which surprised Heather.
Heather and Penny were now comrades-in-arms, frequently united against Roy's "tyranny," and their bond was quite strong. So, she asked Penny what was wrong.
"Penny, what's the matter?"
Penny replied to Heather with a touch of listlessness.
"My hometown is around here."
Roy hadn't realized Penny was from Arizona; he had always assumed she was from New Mexico.
"Penny, do you want to go back and see your hometown?"
Roy had seen signs indicating the direction of a nearby town and, since it was already approaching evening, thought it might be a good idea to rest there for the night.
Hearing this, Penny almost jumped.
"No! Roy, drive away from this town quickly, the further the better!"
Roy frowned slightly. Penny's reaction seemed off. Could there be something wrong with this town?
Just as he was about to ask more, the car suddenly shook violently a few times and then started to skid rapidly.
Fortunately, because they were approaching the town, Roy had slowed down. If this had happened on the interstate, the Chevrolet Camaro would have definitely spun out of control.
"Fuck!"
Remember our website: 101 Reading Network
After Roy brought the car to a stop, he quickly got out to inspect it and found that all four tires were flat.
Heather and Penny were quite startled by this and asked Roy,
"Roy, what happened?"
"Something's wrong, all four tires are flat!"
A flat tire or two might be possible, but all four at once definitely indicated a problem.
Roy walked back a few steps and then saw a row of spike strips lying on the road – the kind police use to stop fleeing vehicles, easily puncturing car tires.
This made Roy very curious. Were the police here catching a fugitive?
He hadn't seen any police around!
At this moment, Heather and Penny also got out of the car.
"Are you two okay?"
Heather answered Roy,
"Yes, were the tires punctured by these things?"
"Yes."
Just as he finished speaking, an emergency service vehicle drove over from the direction of the town and stopped beside the three of them.
The emergency service vehicle was driven by a friendly-looking older man.
"Hey there! Looks like you've run into some trouble. I happen to run a repair shop in town. Need any help?"
This guy's timing was too perfect.
It reminded Roy of those early scams where people would deliberately cause trouble to make money.
Roy noticed Penny beside him shrinking and hiding behind him. It seemed she knew this man, but he couldn't figure out why Penny was acting this way.
He quietly squeezed Penny's hand to reassure her, then turned to the old man with a bright smile.
"God bless you, that's fantastic!"
After that, Roy got into the passenger seat of the emergency service vehicle, while Heather and Penny stayed in the Chevrolet Camaro, which was towed behind.
"Young man, what's your name?"
"You can just call me Roy."
"Oh, Roy, is it? My name is Wilson. That spike strip was probably just a prank by some kids in town; they're real mischievous."
Wilson offered a forced explanation, and Roy simply smiled without saying anything.
Wilson towed the car to the only repair shop in town. After checking the tires, Wilson said that all four needed to be replaced.
"One thousand dollars."
"What? Did I hear that right?"
Roy looked at the repair shop owner Wilson in surprise. That price was enough to replace the tires on a large truck.
"That's the price here!"
Wilson looked at Roy with a smile that increasingly resembled that of a highway robbery con artist. Roy hadn't expected to see this kind of thing in America.
Roy's face tightened. He really wanted to punch Wilson, but he didn't know how to fix cars, and knocking the guy out would only make things more complicated.
"Fine, one thousand it is. But you better hurry up!"
As he spoke, Roy reached for his wallet, intending to pay with a credit card.
"Sorry, we only accept cash here."
Roy frowned slightly. He only had a few hundred dollars in cash in his wallet; the rest of his money was in his inventory.
That particular sum was Wade's bonus, and he couldn't deposit it in a bank or make large purchases with it, or the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) might come knocking.
Even the Godfather couldn't escape the IRS, so Roy wasn't planning on using that money for now.
"Where's the ATM?"
"Sorry, the ATM in town just happens to be out of order."
Roy gave Wilson a fierce look, and the killing intent he exuded made the other man take a step back.
"What do you mean? Are you kidding me?"
Wilson quickly explained, "Of course not! Young man, don't be angry! If you're short on cash, I have an idea that might help you!"
At this point, Roy realized that what Wilson was about to say was his real purpose.
Roy crossed his arms, amused and wanting to see what the man would come up with.
"Okay, go ahead."
"There's a Willie's Wonderland restaurant in town that's about to reopen, but the owner is short-staffed. If you can help him clean the place up tonight, he'll pay you a thousand dollars!"
Earning a thousand dollars for a night of cleaning was a job that would have people in Los Angeles fighting over it. It seemed too good to be true for a remote town in Arizona.
The trap was obvious, but Roy was skilled and bold. He decided to step right into it, wanting to see what the repair shop owner was playing at.
"Alright, I'll take the job!"
Just then, Penny suddenly grabbed Roy's hand and pointed to a missing person poster on the wall.
Roy gently stroked Penny's hand, trying to soothe her anxious feelings.
"It'll be alright."
The repair shop owner, afraid that Roy might refuse, immediately made a phone call to the owner of the children's restaurant, Terry.
Terry was a portly old man in a white suit and a cowboy hat, looking about the same age as Wilson.
This fellow drove Roy and the girls to the outside of Willie's Wonderland.
"Here it is. All you need to do is clean it up inside."
Roy looked at the so-called Willie's Wonderland. A huge cartoon sign clearly indicated it was a children's restaurant with amusement park rides, but all the windows were boarded up, and the front door was secured with a thick iron chain.
This hardly looked like a restaurant about to open.
The latest and fastest novels are first published here!
Roy narrowed his eyes at Terry.
"We've been driving all day and haven't eaten anything. Could we at least fill our stomachs first?"
"Don't worry, there's food and drinks inside the restaurant, even beer. You can eat while you work."
The restaurant owner, Terry, was eager to get Roy and the girls inside, which only made things seem more suspicious.
However, Roy wasn't concerned about that. He was more worried about Penny and Heather's feelings.
"Heather, Penny, what do you say?"
Ever since experiencing the events of "The Ring" and "The Grudge," Heather's innate love for excitement seemed to have awakened, or perhaps it was the influence of the Sawyer family bloodline. In any case, she also sensed that there was something wrong with the restaurant owner Terry, but with Roy by her side, she wasn't afraid of anything.
"I'm fine!"
The only one with doubts was Penny.
Ever since they got close to this town, Penny had been preoccupied. Roy took her hand and quietly asked her near the stage.
At this moment, Terry also noticed Penny and felt that she looked strangely familiar, as if he had seen her somewhere before.
"Penny, are you afraid of something?"
After a moment of silence, Penny whispered to Roy,
"Roy, there are devils living in this restaurant. When I was little, I saw a friend of mine get killed by a devil in there!"
So that was the reason. Sometimes childhood trauma can indeed stay with a person for life.
Just like Needy, who had encountered Pennywise as a child and had been afraid of clowns ever since, until the recent "It" incident, when she saw Roy personally kill Pennywise, her fear finally disappeared completely.
Penny's situation seemed similar. Because she had witnessed her friend's death as a child, she had developed a fear of this restaurant.
But something still didn't feel right. Why was Penny also resistant to her hometown?
Could there be another problem?
"Penny, are you hiding something else from me?"
Under Roy's gaze, Penny nodded. She was about to answer, but Roy stopped her.
Because Roy noticed that Terry was already getting a little impatient.
"Penny, we can talk about this later. Tell me, do you want to personally avenge your childhood friend?"
This made Penny pause for a moment, but Penny, who had dared to snatch the boss's woman in the strip club, actually had a rather bold personality. It was just that in front of Roy, she was always gentle and soft-spoken.
So, Penny nodded her head firmly.
"Good, you just need to trust me. Leave the rest to me!"
With that, Roy turned and walked up to Terry.
"Have you two finished discussing? Time is running out!"
This guy really wanted to get Roy and the girls into the restaurant as soon as possible.
"Mr. Terry, it's like this: my girlfriend is quite particular about food, and she's a little worried that the food in the restaurant might not satisfy her."
Roy's words made Terry breathe a slight sigh of relief.
"That's easy to solve. If you're not satisfied, you can come find me tomorrow! I can pay you extra!"
Terry generously offered an empty promise. He clearly didn't think Roy and the girls would be able to get out of the restaurant tomorrow.
"You said it! Don't go back on your word tomorrow!"
"How could I? My word is my bond! Now, can you start working?"
Roy nodded.
Terry unlocked the large padlock on the door of Willie's Wonderland and led the three of them inside.
"The electricity in the restaurant is on, all the facilities are usable, and there are work clothes you can wear, so you don't have to worry about getting your clothes dirty. Well then, I'll leave it to you."
Terry couldn't wait to leave the restaurant and closed the door behind him. From the sound, it seemed he had relocked the door with the chain, not even trying to be discreet about it.
Looking at the messy restaurant and the humanoid puppets on the huge stage across the room, Roy suddenly had a strong sense of déjà vu.
Could this damn place also be a scene from some movie?
But as Roy looked around, this place seemed more like a horror game he had played in his previous life, called "Five Nights at Freddy's," which told the story of humanoid puppets in a pizza shop and the security guard.
Yeah, that game was quite popular in Europe and America, and there were even fan-made works in the 3D section, making one marvel at the special tastes of foreigners.
Ruining Disney and Pixar wasn't enough for Westerners; now they were even going after humanoid puppets.
Terrifying!
However, the humanoid puppets in this restaurant were quite different from those in "Five Nights at Freddy's." There were many more types, and they were even more bizarrely shaped.
"Heather, Penny, let's go to the kitchen first to eat and chat about the restaurant."
The two girls nodded and followed Roy to the back kitchen of the restaurant.
Terry was right; the restaurant was indeed fully equipped and had plenty of food.
However, Roy and the girls didn't touch the sausages or meat patties in the restaurant. Who knew where that red meat came from?
On the other hand, white meats like chicken breasts, chicken wings, and chicken legs were nothing to worry about.
People can't just grow chicken wings and legs, right?
Unless you're a pigeon or a xiao hei zi (a derogatory term in Chinese internet slang).
Penny took charge of the cooking. Having lived on her own for longer, her culinary skills were much better than Heather's.
Using the equipment in the restaurant's kitchen, Penny quickly prepared some pan-fried chicken breasts, fried chicken legs, and some vegetable and fruit salad.
This was a relatively lavish meal for a long road trip.
If you haven't planned your route well on a road trip, or if your vehicle breaks down, you'll probably have to rely on dry rations.
Roy also unceremoniously took out a dozen cans of beer from the refrigerator, ready to have a good time with Heather and Penny.
Good food and beer always make people happy. It was in this atmosphere that Penny began to tell her story and the story of this restaurant.
"More than a decade ago, this restaurant was already here. The owner at the time was called Willie, and he seemed like a kind middle-aged man. No one expected that he was actually a perverted serial killer who particularly liked to kill children. The purpose of opening this children's restaurant was to better find his prey."
Penny recounted the story slowly, her eyes becoming deep and distant, clearly lost in her memories.

Chapter 112: Riva
"The frequent disappearances of children in town caught the police's attention, and they quickly traced it back to Willy. But when the police raided Willy's Wonderland restaurant to arrest him, they discovered that Willy and his employees had collectively committed suicide during a sinister sacrificial ritual."
Hearing this, Roy already felt something was wrong. This world really does have demons!
"The police didn't realize the severity of the problem and hastily closed the case. After some time, a man took over the restaurant, and it reopened. But then, people started disappearing in town again. The residents then realized that Willy hadn't left this world; he and his evil employees were attached to the animatronic characters in the restaurant, continuing their endless killing spree."
Well, well, Willy really hasn't forgotten his roots!
Heather was engrossed in the story. Seeing Penny pause, she couldn't help but ask, "And then? What happened next?"
Penny sighed.
"The people in town couldn't deal with Willy and his minions, so they made a deal with them. Whenever outsiders passed by, they would lure them into the restaurant to satisfy Willy's desires."
"So that's it! The mechanic and the restaurant owner's goal was to send us in here to satisfy Willy's hunger!" Heather exclaimed in sudden realization.
Penny nodded, feeling ashamed of the despicable actions of her hometown residents.
Roy comforted Penny.
"Their actions have nothing to do with you. At least you chose to distance yourself from them and leave this place."
Penny hugged Roy, her eyes a little red, clearly recalling painful memories.
Heather also joined in the hug, and for a moment, the atmosphere in the restaurant's kitchen became warm.
However, good times are always short-lived. Just a few minutes after the three hugged, they heard strange noises coming from the main hall.
Roy released Penny and Heather, frowning as he looked towards the hall.
"I'll go check it out. You guys stay here."
As he spoke, Roy handed the cursed twin daggers to the two girls. His current strength had surpassed the need for these daggers, so he gave them to Heather and Penny for self-defense.
Heather and Penny already knew how to use the cursed twin daggers, so Roy didn't need to explain.
Coming into the main hall, Roy noticed that the lights had been turned off at some point.
Roy reached to turn on the lights when he suddenly felt a tall shadow blocking his path.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be an ostrich animatronic even taller than him.
"Oh oh oh! I'm going to enjoy your face!"
"Are you talking to me?"
"Yes, pretty boy. Ready to die?"
The ostrich animatronic suddenly pecked at Roy, but Roy reacted quickly, dodging the attack with a tilt of his head.
Missing the first time, the ostrich stubbornly continued to peck at Roy's face, but he easily dodged every attempt.
After pecking more than a dozen times, the ostrich hadn't landed a single hit and was quite exhausted.
"H-how is this possible?!"
"Why wouldn't it be possible?"
Are you kidding? Roy was a boxer! Head movement is a crucial skill for boxers, not to mention Roy's agility had reached 30.
Ever heard of the sway punch?
Roy could do it even more exaggeratedly than those internet celebrities, standing there dodging with his head all day without moving his body.
The ostrich realized it had encountered a tough opponent and immediately tried to change its attack, aiming for Roy's torso.
However, Roy's reaction was even faster than the ostrich anticipated. One hand moved with precognitive speed, grabbing its neck.
"What the f***?"
The ostrich found its neck as if clamped in an iron hoop, unable to move Roy even slightly.
"Didn't you just say you were going to peck my face?"
At this point, the ostrich understood it was no match for Roy and started to surrender at lightning speed.
"Wait, buddy! I was just kidding with you!"
"Oh really? Well, I'll joke with you too!"
With that, Roy grabbed the ostrich's long neck and twisted it into a knot. Then, he rolled its body into a ball and started dribbling it between his legs.
Unfortunately, dribbling between the legs was too difficult, especially since the ostrich ball was so big, making it impossible to imitate that bizarre internet sensation.
Disappointed, Roy ignored the ostrich's protests and yanked its neck out, causing a large amount of black oil to spray out.
Only then did Roy realize that the ostrich was full of machinery; it must be an electronic animatronic.
"Why does this feel like playing a domestic game? Is the blood oil-colored?"
Roy clapped his hands and returned to the restaurant kitchen.
"Roy, what happened?"
"A minor issue. Just a rather impolite ostrich. I've taken care of it."
Heather noticed some stains on Roy's clothes.
"Roy, what are those black spots on your clothes?"
"It's oil. Damn it! I didn't bring too many clothes! Let's go change into the work uniforms to avoid getting our own clothes dirty!"
Tonight was likely to be a big battle, and Roy thought it would be best to change into work uniforms.
However, Heather ran into trouble while changing. Her... assets were too large, so the women's uniform didn't fit. She could only change into a men's uniform.
Roy was in a similar situation. After gaining weight, he had become several sizes larger, and the men's uniform looked like a tight-fitting suit on him.
Heather and Penny changed in the restroom. Just as they were about to go out, they suddenly heard a voice over the loudspeaker.
"Hehehe! Welcome to Willy's Wonderland! Let's play a game of hide-and-seek! You'll never find me, and I'll eat your eyes and devour your souls!"
Roy, who was outside the restroom, felt a sense of alarm upon hearing the voice. He knocked on the door, wanting Heather and Penny to come out, and immediately heard the screams of the two girls from inside.
Roy kicked the restroom door open. Heather and Penny immediately rushed out and hugged Roy.
"What happened?"
"A gorilla! There's a gorilla inside!"
Roy put Heather and Penny behind him and walked into the restroom. Sure enough, he saw a large, fat gorilla.
Two cursed daggers were stuck in the gorilla's chest, one on each side. It couldn't sneak around anymore.
The gorilla was muttering and cursing, rhythmically like a black person rapping. As soon as it saw Roy, it tried to charge at him.
Roy didn't dodge or evade, throwing a straight punch right back. The gorilla was instantly sent flying, crashing into the wall and creating a dent.
Perhaps stunned by the punch, the gorilla remained stuck to the wall for a moment, unresponsive.
Roy quickly rushed forward, grabbed the gorilla's head, and yanked it off with force.
A large amount of black oil sprayed out again. Luckily, Roy had changed his clothes, so it didn't matter if the oil got on him.
"Done!"
Roy retrieved the daggers, clapped his hands, and walked out of the restroom.
"Did Roy take care of it?"
"Easy peasy! But you two stabbed pretty accurately!"
Roy gestured to imitate the gorilla's appearance just now, making Heather and Penny laugh.
"Just do that if you encounter this kind of situation again. Leave the rest to me!"
"Okay!" ×2
The two girls ignored the oil on Roy and each gave him a sweet kiss on either cheek.
The sweet kisses didn't last long. The three of them heard someone knocking on the window outside.
"That's strange, is someone outside?"
Roy walked to the window and looked out. It was already dark outside. He saw a pair of white eyes floating in mid-air.
This was much more frightening than the ostrich and gorilla animatronics they had just encountered. Roy almost punched through the glass.
Looking closely, he realized that it was a woman with a darker complexion outside the window. Her natural camouflage had made Roy miss seeing her at first glance, only noticing her white eyes.
The woman's mouth kept opening and closing, as if she was saying something, but the restaurant was very soundproof, and Roy couldn't hear her at all.
"Is someone outside?"
Penny and Heather came over to take a look. Then, Penny and the person outside both froze.
"Riva?"
Roy looked at Penny in surprise.
"Penny, do you know the woman outside?"
"If I'm not mistaken, she should be a friend of mine from before."
What a coincidence!
But then again, Penny grew up in this town, so it's normal for her to have some friends here.

"Penny, should I open the door and let her in for a chat?"
Although the restaurant owner Terry had locked the main door with chains, with Roy's current strength, he could completely kick the door open.
Penny shook her head.
"Opening the door might let the animatronics in the restaurant escape. Let's not."
Roy nodded, put his arms around Heather and Penny's shoulders, and returned to the restaurant kitchen to continue drinking beer and eating. He wasn't completely full yet.
What the three of them didn't expect was that Riva outside had come with her friends, intending to burn down the entire restaurant.
At this moment, a circle of gasoline had already been poured around the outside of the restaurant, and it was just waiting to be lit.
Then, Riva saw Roy and the others through the window. Kind-hearted, she wanted to call Roy and his friends to leave the restaurant, but then she recognized her former friend Penny.
Now, she definitely couldn't just set the fire.
"We'll go up to the roof and get them out through the ventilation shaft!"
The friends who came with Riva were clearly a bit scared of the restaurant. It was okay for them to burn the restaurant together, but going inside was more difficult.
All the boys shook their heads, which made Riva, the only girl present, very angry.
"You guys are such cowards! I'll go in by myself!"
Under Riva's goading, the boys finally mustered up their courage. They climbed onto the roof together. Just as they were about to enter the ventilation duct, the restaurant roof suddenly collapsed.
Well, how should I put it? This restaurant hadn't been maintained much at all since Terry took over. After all, someone had died shortly after it opened.
Fortunately, the place where they fell was right above a ball pit, so no one was injured this time.
"What the f***! Doesn't Terry maintain the house at all? What if the house collapses one day and Willy runs out?"
A black boy complained in a rap-like manner.
"Get off me! Are you trying to crush me? Instead of complaining about this, why don't you think about how to get out of here!"
Another blond boy pushed the black boy away.
"Stop arguing! Now is not the time to fight! Let's quickly go find Penny!"
Although Riva was a girl, she had a lot of prestige among the boys. One sentence made everyone shut up.
The group got up and ran towards the back kitchen of the restaurant. They could hear the laughter of one man and two women from far away.
"Penny, how can you still be in the mood to drink beer at a time like this?"
Seeing the situation in the kitchen, Riva was very shocked.
At this time, Penny had already drunk several cans of beer and was starting to feel tipsy.
"Riva, you're here! Do you want one too?"
"Penny, do you know that this restaurant is full of Willy and his minions? Why did you still come in?"
"Hehe, my darling will take care of everything!"
Penny leaned on Roy's shoulder with a smile, looking very intimate.
Riva and the boys simultaneously looked at Roy. Riva's eyes were filled with surprise, while the boys' gazes were full of jealousy.
Penny was so beautiful that the boys naturally knew her. Seeing a flower of their town fall into another man's arms, they would naturally feel jealous.
Especially since another beautiful black-haired woman was also leaning on Roy's other shoulder at the same time. One man with two beauties was simply too infuriating.
However, Roy was already used to other people's jealous looks.
"Penny, let's leave together! My friends and I poured gasoline outside the restaurant. We can burn this evil restaurant down with one fire!"
"Burn it down? Wouldn't that be too boring?"
Roy's answer left Riva a bit bewildered.
At this moment, the blond boy from before noticed something.
"Riva, I saw the body of an ostrich animatronic on the ground!"
"This... did you guys do this?"
Penny planted a fiery kiss on Roy's lips and proudly told Riva, "Roy did it all! Don't think too much, come sit down and have something to eat and drink some beer. Roy will take care of everything!"
Penny had complete faith in Roy. In her heart, Roy was already an omnipotent god.
This suggestion made the black boy's heart flutter. The fried chicken legs on the table did look quite delicious. Perhaps his ancestral memories were resurfacing; he even wanted to eat some watermelon again.
"Riva, I think Penny's idea is pretty good."
This made Riva glare fiercely at the black boy.
Just then, loud heavy metal rock music suddenly came from the main hall. It was AC/DC's classic song "Highway To Hell."
That's right, it was the song Roy had heard when he first transmigrated. It stirred something in his DNA.
Slamming his hand on the table, Roy stood up.
"You guys stay here. I'll go take a look."
Once Roy stood up, Riva and her friends could finally see his physique.
Compared to Roy, all the boys around Riva looked like skinny dogs. The difference was too great.
At this moment, Riva somewhat believed that Roy could handle everything.
Coming into the main hall, only a three-animatronic band was left on the stage, performing rock music. Roy looked at them and cursed.
"What's all this noise?! Can't a guy have a drink in peace?"
Suddenly, Roy keenly felt a chill behind him and dodged a backstab with a quick movement.
The attacker was an animatronic dressed as a knight, wielding a two-handed sword.
"Damn it, a knight resorting to sneak attacks? Are you from Dark Souls 5 too?"
Roy hated such despicable people the most. He landed a sliding step followed by an uppercut, knocking the knight animatronic to the ground.
Then, he delivered a classic WWE knee drop to the back, shattering the knight animatronic's spine.
Riva and her friends looked at Roy with the eyes of someone who had seen an alien.
