Roy grabbed the medicine bag and rushed to Jennifer's bedroom, taking the stairs three at a time. He saw a bed covered in blood and Jennifer and Needy in a strange position.
"Nancy, what happened?"
"Roy, your injuries!"
Roy actually had many gunshot wounds, but he had forcefully reset his fractured left arm.
"My injuries are just superficial. Tell me what's going on with Jennifer and Needy first!"
Nancy, in tears, explained what she knew.
"Just now, Needy was dragged into a nightmare by Freddy, and Jennifer and I couldn't wake her up no matter what we tried. Then Jennifer was like a different person, she's been in this position ever since. Just now, Jennifer's stomach suddenly started bleeding heavily, but then it stopped very quickly."
Although Nancy's words were a bit chaotic, Roy roughly understood what she meant.
Needy had accidentally fallen asleep, and then Jennifer, using Lilith's power, had entered Freddy's dream and was attacked by him.
Fortunately, Jennifer's witch talent was immortality, so even if she was injured, she could heal quickly.
As they spoke, more wounds appeared on Jennifer's body, but they healed quickly again, indicating that she was fighting Freddy.
"Lilith, can you hear me?"
Lilith was still softly chanting a spell, but she nodded slightly.
"Quickly send me into Needy's dream too!"
Hearing this, Lilith held out a hand to Roy.
When Roy took Lilith's hand, he quickly felt his eyelids getting heavy, and he fell asleep face down on the bed.
In the dream, Jennifer was using her own body to protect Needy, causing her back to be constantly slashed by Freddy's bladed glove.
Currently, Jennifer's immortality hadn't reached the conceptual level, so if she sustained injuries beyond a certain limit, she would still die.
It could be seen that the healing speed of the wounds on Jennifer's body was getting slower and slower, which meant that Jennifer's power was weakening.
Fortunately, Freddy still enjoyed torturing others. He was slowly cutting away pieces of Jennifer's flesh, hoping to inflict greater pain and fear.
However, Jennifer's physique was quite special; the injuries didn't cause her pain, so she produced relatively little fear.
After cutting away flesh for a while, Freddy got a little bored and prepared to deliver a fatal blow.
"Hehe, I'm curious, if I cut off your head, will you still be able to live?"
Just as he finished speaking, Freddy suddenly heard the sound of knuckles cracking. He turned around and saw a tall, handsome boy standing not far away.
The coldness on this boy's face almost made the surrounding temperature drop several degrees.
"Who are you?"
Freddy frowned deeply. Too many unexpected things had happened today, especially this newly appeared boy who exuded an extremely strong sense of pressure.
"You're asking me? Of course, I'm the one who's going to kill you!"
Saying this, Roy rushed towards Freddy.
Freddy wanted to test Roy's strength, so he didn't dodge.
The result was that Roy's angry punch directly caved in Freddy's face.
"You bastard, how dare you hurt my woman! Have you thought about how you're going to die?"
Freddy's face quickly returned to normal. During this process, a small amount of fear aura leaked out, indicating that his recovery wasn't without cost.
Roy grabbed Freddy's neck with one hand and then punched him repeatedly in the face with the other.
Freddy's head kept snapping back from the punches and then returning to normal, making it look like he was hitting a speed bag.
Action Direction: Tom and Jerry.
Freddy tried to break free, but Roy's hand was like an iron hoop, and he couldn't escape at all. Even his bladed glove couldn't do much damage.
Roy's skin was as hard as rock; the bladed glove could barely scratch it.
Helpless, Freddy instantly disappeared and reappeared in the distance.
"Who the hell are you?!"
Freddy had never been so frustrated before. His power came entirely from fear; the more frightened his target was, the stronger he became.
But in Roy, Freddy couldn't sense any fear. The other person was like an abyss, and it actually made him feel a little scared.
Roy touched his waist, intending to pull out his Smith & Wesson M625 to shoot Freddy, but he felt nothing.
He then realized that he was in a dream. He couldn't bring things from reality into it, including items from his system inventory.
Some special abilities, like Son of the Devil, were sealed because this ability directly affected Roy's physical body and had no effect on his spirit.
However, some special abilities could still be used in the dream, such as…
"Motherfucker! I'm your grandpa!"
After using this secret technique from the internet, Roy released the Shadow of Fear towards Freddy, who instantly fell into a terrifying illusion.
However, Freddy was also an expert in manipulating fear and illusions, so the effect of the Shadow of Fear disappeared in the blink of an eye.
But this short time was enough for Roy to rush in front of Freddy and throw another hard punch.
Freddy was sent flying more than ten meters away by this punch. He landed and then disappeared again, reappearing on the roof of the warehouse.
This guy had realized that he had encountered a tough opponent. According to his nature of bullying the weak and fearing the strong, he naturally wanted to stay far away.
"Bastard, come down here if you have the guts!"
"Come up here if you have the guts!"
Needy's dream had momentarily turned into a scene from a Chinese folktale about a bottomless sandy river, and both Roy and Freddy looked rather unpleasant.
The problem now was that Roy couldn't catch up to Freddy in the dream, but Freddy couldn't beat Roy at all; getting close to him just meant getting a beatdown.
Neither of them could do anything to the other, and the situation reached a stalemate.
After a period of stalemate, Freddy suddenly waved at Roy.
"Let's call it a day for now. I'll be back!"
Freddy slowly disappeared into the air, and Roy found himself quickly exiting Needy's dream as well.
The three of them soon opened their eyes and woke up.
"Roy, Jennifer, are you okay?"
Needy saw the blood on both of them, and her heart ached so much that tears almost came out.
Jennifer's problem wasn't actually that serious because the wounds on her body had already healed completely, leaving no scars. She just looked a little tired.
"I'm fine, I just need to rest for a while."
"Uh, I might have some issues."
Roy's injuries, on the other hand, were more troublesome because some of the gunshot wounds had healed, and the wounds had to be reopened to remove the bullets from his flesh.
Neither Needy nor Nancy was the kind of person with a heart of stone, so they still needed Jennifer to do it.
Fortunately, Roy's physique was high enough that even if Jennifer had no medical experience at all, she wouldn't kill him.
During the process of removing the bullets, the three girls kept talking to Roy, trying to distract him so he wouldn't feel so much pain.
Actually, Roy really wanted to say that it would be more effective if they just gave him a hug.
"Roy, what do you think we should do about Freddy?"
Roy also wanted to know the answer to this question.
In the Nightmare on Elm Street movie series, there were indeed several ways to deal with Freddy, but many of them relied on luck.
For example, to pull Freddy into reality, you first had to make sure you could grab him and also be able to wake up quickly.
But the problem was that tonight's events proved that Freddy's nightmares weren't something you could easily escape.
As Freddy's power increased, so did his control over dreams. Forcibly imitating the movie's methods could be dangerous.
Actually, there was another method in the movies: find Freddy's bones and physically purify them.
But this method would take some time, and it would be difficult to find Freddy in the short term.
"Jennifer, does Lilith have any ideas?"
Jennifer shook her head.
"Lilith told me that Freddy's power comes from a demon, and she has no way to directly deal with him."
Demon power again?
Roy frowned and pondered. He searched through the contents of the Key of Solomon but couldn't find what he was looking for.
The knowledge in the Key of Solomon was, after all, from ancient times. Thousands of years had passed, and both Hell and the human world had seen many new developments.
Based on the known information, Roy could roughly guess that Freddy was a special vengeful spirit born under special circumstances. It was very likely that a certain demon had participated in this process, which was why Freddy possessed such unique abilities.

"It seems we still need to investigate Freddy's origins! Nancy, do you know when Freddy started appearing?"
Nancy was taken aback for a moment, then shook her head.
"I don't know. The adults never talk to us about Freddy."
"Nancy, when you go back tomorrow, you should definitely ask. It's related to whether we can get rid of Freddy."
After Roy finished speaking, Needy raised her hand.
"Roy, maybe I can find some relevant information on the internet!"
That was a good idea. In the internet age, many people liked to share their stories online, and maybe other victims of Freddy had left information.
"Good idea!"
At this time, the bullets in Roy's body had been mostly removed. He moved his body and stood up.
Because he had to take off his clothes to remove the bullets, the three girls simultaneously saw Roy's well-built muscles, which had a strange beauty under the bloodstains.
The three girls blushed at the same time, their breathing became rapid, and Jennifer even crossed her legs.
Roy put his tattered clothes back on, causing the three girls to simultaneously let out a sigh of disappointment; the good view was gone.
"I've already divided the zopiclone into three portions. Don't forget to take it during this period!"
Jennifer was taken aback.
"Do I have to take it too?"
Roy nodded.
"Freddy didn't target you before, but after tonight, he will definitely enter your dreams!"
After getting dressed, Roy thought for a moment.
"Let's try if the zopiclone works tonight first, to avoid problems later. Actually, it's best if you all stay together these few nights, so you can look out for each other like tonight."
After all, this method was used in the movies, and no one knew if it would still work in this world.
As for the three girls staying together for a day or two, it was fine, but if it went on for too long, Nancy's parents would definitely have objections.
Not all parents were like Roy's current parents, who couldn't wait to throw their son out so they could enjoy their alone time.
After changing the blood-stained sheets, the three girls quickly took the zopiclone and fell asleep. Their breathing was very steady, so it seemed the medicine was effective.
A few minutes later, Jennifer suddenly opened her eyes and looked at Roy with a charming gaze.
"Lilith?"
"It's me."
"Is there something you want to tell me?"
Lilith got out of bed and主动地 sat in Roy's lap.
"There are indeed some rather important things to tell you, but they might be a bit scary. Do you want to hear them?"
Roy's expression became strange.
"Scary? You're not going to tell me that Jennifer is pregnant with my child, are you?"
This news would indeed be the most terrifying thing for Roy.
"You can rest assured about that. Witches of our lineage can freely control pregnancy. If you don't want to have children, you won't get pregnant no matter how much you 'inject'."
There's such a good thing? Doesn't that mean I don't have to use protection with Jennifer in the future?
"Then what do you want to tell me?"
Roy slapped Lilith's rear hard, making a crisp sound.
"Ah~ I just wanted to tell you that I sensed a familiar scent on Freddy."
"Familiar scent?"
Lilith grabbed Roy's hand and pressed it against her chest, then leaned close to Roy's ear and licked his earlobe.
"The scent of my ex-husband, Samael."
"The King of Wrath?"
Samael was originally a high-ranking angel, listed as one of the seven angels of creation, in charge of the power of death, and known as the Angel of Death.
This guy later fell into Hell for unknown reasons and became the King of Wrath, one of the seven demon lords of Hell.
In some myths and legends, there is indeed mention of Lilith's union with Samael, and some say that Samael was the Satan who tempted Adam to eat the forbidden fruit.
However, given what Lilith was saying now, their relationship should be real.
Hearing this, Roy wasn't too scared, after all, he was a man who had been with a demon lord of Hell, but the expression on his face became strange.
He wondered what his ex-husband, Samael, would think if he saw Lilith sitting in his lap being touched by him.
It felt like things had suddenly become more exciting!
Lilith, sitting in his lap, was the most aware of the changes in Roy's lower body. She couldn't help but lick her lips.
"You don't seem scared at all, my dear little Roy."
"What's there to be afraid of? Can Samael descend to the human world and kill me?"
Roy shrugged. It wasn't that easy for a demon lord of Hell to descend to the human world; otherwise, Earth would have been in chaos long ago.
Someone like Belial was just a special case, and even then, he had to keep a low profile, otherwise he would face Michael's pursuit.
Lilith giggled and kissed Roy's lips.
"I just love your audacity! Darling, don't you want to continue experiencing what it's like to be with a demon lord?"
Roy raised an eyebrow.
"Here?"
"Mmm-hmm! Isn't it exciting?"
Hiss! Doing it in front of the sleeping Needy and Nancy did sound quite exciting.
"Besides, Jennifer's body was severely damaged in the dream. Replenishing her magic can help her recover faster."
Is this "replenishing magic" you're talking about serious?
Roy looked at Lilith with a serious face.
"For Jennifer's sake, I have a duty to do this!"
Saying this, he picked up Lilith and pinned her against the wall.
"Ah! That's it! You're so much better than Samael!"
These words were like a violent magic spell, instantly turning Roy into a berserker, initiating a frenzy of slaughter.
Jennifer the Cheerleader Version
Chapter 102: Anchor Point
The next day, Roy was driving the girls to school and saw Sheriff Hughes blocking the road again.
"Hey, Sheriff Hughes, what's going on now?"
Sheriff Hughes had deep dark circles under his eyes, clearly having not slept well last night.
"Don't even mention it, last night was a complete mess! First, there was a sudden explosion at the Gospel Sanitarium, which started a wildfire. Then, three high school students were found dead in their bedrooms under bizarre circumstances. I was woken up in the middle of the night and have been busy ever since, haven't had a break yet!"
Roy and the girls exchanged a look, immediately realizing that Freddy had been working overtime last night and had quite a few "achievements."
No wonder Freddy's power had increased so much!
Roy pretended not to know anything and comforted Sheriff Hughes.
"I don't think this is your fault, Sheriff Hughes."
Sheriff Hughes shrugged.
"Thanks, Roy! But I'm not that fragile. It's just going to be a tiring couple of days. My job should be done once the FBI arrives."
The FBI is coming?
Roy's heart skipped a beat, and he thought of a certain beautiful female FBI agent.
However, the state police definitely couldn't handle the Gospel Sanitarium case, and the county police didn't have the jurisdiction, so they definitely had to call in the federal police.
America's police system is quite complex, generally divided into federal police, state police, and county police.
State police and county police cannot enforce laws across districts. State police seem to have more authority than county police, but because the quality of American police departments depends on the tax revenue of their jurisdiction, state police in rural areas are generally less powerful than county police in cities.
As for federal police, they report directly to the federal government, which is the commonly known FBI. They are the ones with cross-district law enforcement power within America.
"I see, Sheriff Hughes, good luck!"
Hughes watched Roy drive away, muttering to himself.
"Another one? This kid is too damn good!"
Oak High School officially started classes today, but all the students were a bit distracted.
Because those with good information, like Roy and his group, already knew about the three students who had tragically died at home.
It has to be said that Oak High School has been having a bit of bad luck lately. Just a few days ago, there was an explosion in the auditorium that killed one student, and now three more students have died in their own homes.
You could see that the principal's hair was visibly thinning.
After the first class, Wade approached Roy.
"Boss Roy, are you looking for zopiclone? Is it related to those three dead students?"
This kid is quite sharp, noticing something from Roy's attitude towards zopiclone yesterday.
Now that the two were partners, Roy didn't hide anything from him. After all, if Wade died, he would have to find another drug dealer.
"It's somewhat related."
Roy told him about Freddy.
If anyone else said something like this, Wade would definitely think they were crazy, but he believed Roy one hundred percent.
"Holy crap! I've had similar dreams before. Luckily, I was too excited last night and couldn't fall asleep, otherwise, I might have been one of those three students!"
Roy really didn't know about this. He could only say Wade was lucky.
"Then you also need to take zopiclone. As long as you don't dream, you can avoid Freddy coming after you."
Zopiclone is a very effective fast-acting sleeping pill. Gospel Sanitarium had prepared a lot of this drug, so Wade still had quite a bit on hand.
Wade nodded repeatedly, then suddenly remembered something.
"Boss Roy, are there many other people at school who have dreamed about that Freddy?"
"I asked yesterday, and at least a dozen students have had dreams about Freddy, but I didn't expect this guy to make a move so quickly."
"Then can I sell zopiclone or other fast-acting sleeping pills to them?"
Roy looked at Wade. This guy was truly a business genius, already thinking of ways to make money so quickly.
"You can try, but it's best not to go too far. I heard the FBI will be arriving in Waterfall Town soon."
Hearing this, Wade immediately became a bit timid. The FBI's reputation was still quite intimidating.
"Thank you, Boss Roy. I'll be careful."
Wade left, and Roy guessed that he wouldn't give up on this money-making plan, and it could also save a few lives.
After all, they were classmates and fellow townsfolk.
Roy was about to return to the classroom when his phone suddenly rang.
The phone number displayed on the screen made Roy's expression a little strange.
"Hello, Sister Saltana, why did you suddenly think of calling me?"
That's right, it was Saltana Rivera, a senior agent from the Federal Emergency Agency (FEA).
"Can't I call you if there's nothing wrong?"
Huh, this sentence sounds familiar. Have I said this before?
"Ahem! Just kidding! Roy, do you live in Waterfall Town near Austin?"
"Yeah, what's the problem?"
"I just received a case that happened in your area. I wanted to ask if you know anything about it."
Roy's expression became strange. Could it be that Saltana took over Freddy's case?
Didn't they say the FBI was coming?
But thinking about it carefully, Freddy's way of killing was indeed bizarre. It was possible that after the state police submitted it to the FBI, it was then transferred by the FBI to the FEA, which specializes in supernatural cases.
Since it's a familiar face handling the case, that makes things easier.
Roy's eyes rolled, and he started thinking about how to get the most benefit out of this.
"Well, I do know some inside information."
Hearing this, Saltana's voice on the other end of the phone suddenly became serious.
"Really? I can arrive in Waterfall Town this afternoon. Let's meet then!"
After speaking, Saltana hung up the phone. This woman was really impatient.
Roy shook his head helplessly.
In the afternoon, Roy took Jennifer and Niddy home, and then picked up Emma from elementary school and brought her to his house.
Ever since Roy drove Emma once, the little loli had strongly requested that Roy pick her up, so he became Emma's personal driver.
"Emma, have you had any strange dreams lately?"
"Strange dreams? Brother Roy, what kind of dreams are considered strange?"
"Uh, like an old wooden house, and three little girls jumping rope and singing nursery rhymes in front of the house."
Emma wrinkled her nose slightly.
"Why would I have such childish dreams?"
Roy was speechless. An eight-year-old actually thought Freddy's dreams were childish.
However, this also showed that Freddy's claws hadn't reached the elementary school students yet.
This made Roy think of a possibility: Freddy was likely using Nancy as an anchor point to target the young people around her.
Most of the people Roy had previously discovered who were having nightmares had contact with Nancy.
"Alright, we're home. Can you tell Mom and Dad that I have plans tonight and won't be eating at home?"
"Okay, Brother Roy!"
Roy didn't expect that this meeting wouldn't just be with Saltana; she also brought Elena.
"Ms. Scott, I didn't expect you to come too!"
Roy reached out and shook hands with both of the older sisters.
"What, you're only welcoming Saltana and not me? And calling me Ms. Scott!"
Unexpectedly, Elena started being sarcastic with Roy right away, her expression like a jealous little girlfriend.
"Then can I just call you Sister Elena?"
"That's more like it, but I hope you use the same sweet tone you use for Saltana when you call me."
Saltana couldn't stand this and couldn't help but pat Elena's shoulder.
It seemed that the two had a very close relationship, likely more than just work colleagues. They might even be good friends in private.
"Elena, tone it down! Don't scare the kid!"
"Hehe, so you're already feeling sorry for your little lover? No wonder you were in such a hurry to ask me to help him that day!"
"Why are you still talking about that!"
Saltana finally couldn't hold back and started playfully fighting with Elena.
The scene of two beautiful older sisters with ample chests playfully fighting was naturally a feast for the eyes, making Roy's eyes wander for a moment, not knowing where to focus.
Feeling Roy's burning gaze, Elena restrained herself a bit and didn't continue the playful fight.
"Alright, alright, no more playing around! Actually, I came for another case, the explosion at the Gospel Sanitarium on the edge of your town."
The latest novels are first published here!
Because the forests around Waterfall Town were relatively damp, the explosion at the Gospel Sanitarium ultimately didn't cause a large-scale wildfire.
However, the FBI still needed to come and investigate the cause of the explosion. Since Elena was in Austin, the case fell into her hands.
But Roy was still a bit curious.
"Has the Night Stalker case been closed?"
Because there was no news about it in the media, Roy could only ask Elena for information.
Elena looked helpless.
"That case was called off by the higher-ups. I'm currently in a lull period, so the Gospel Sanitarium case fell into my lap."
Sure enough, the dark web had considerable influence within the government. No wonder they were so unscrupulous.
However, in a society like America, they fear exposure. Even a squid will be turned into dried squid strips if exposed to light.
If Keller could expose their deeds, then the dark web would be finished.
Although the process would definitely be fraught with danger, it might be better for Roy to physically eliminate this disgusting organization.
"Uh, Sister Elena, the Gospel Sanitarium case might also disappoint you."
As soon as Roy said this, Elena frowned.
"Do you know something about this, kid?"
"Let's sit down and talk slowly."
The three of them chose to meet at a high-end restaurant in Waterfall Town, a place where it was impossible to get a reservation during peak tourist season.
It was still some time before the peak season, so the restaurant was relatively quiet.
Because of Roy, the head chef of the restaurant personally cooked dinner for the three of them. This was a privilege he had gained after becoming a celebrity in Waterfall Town.
At the dinner table, Elena continued to ask the question from before. This woman was very similar to Saltana; they were both workaholics.
As soon as she heard that Roy knew some inside information, she couldn't help but start questioning him during the meal, even more eager than Saltana.
"Roy, tell me what you know!"
"If I tell you, you won't arrest me, will you?"
Hearing this, Elena smiled and glanced at Saltana.
"Don't worry, as long as you're not evading taxes in America, I won't arrest you."
Saltana patted Elena's thigh and then showed concern for Roy.
"Is the problem serious?"
Roy answered them in a joking tone, wanting to test their reaction.
"I killed over fifty people."
Saltana didn't hold on tight enough, and the fork in her hand fell onto the plate, making a very jarring sound.
Elena also put down her cutlery and looked at Roy seriously.
"Roy, you can't just say things like that casually. It's very dangerous!"
Roy observed Saltana's and Elena's expressions and felt that both female agents were on his side, so he told the truth.
"Last night, a friend and I went to the Gospel Sanitarium to visit another friend. When we arrived, we found that everyone in the hospital had been slaughtered, possibly because some dangerous mentally ill patients had escaped their rooms. I took care of those patients, but when my friend and I were about to escape, a well-trained group of mercenaries burst in. They killed anyone they saw and didn't give us a chance to explain.
The bomb that caused the explosion was also planted by those mercenaries. If you go to the entrance of the Gospel Sanitarium now, you should still be able to see the wreckage of the armored vehicle."
Elena frowned, quickly catching on to the key point.
"You didn't go to the sanitarium during the day, but at night? Sanitariums usually don't have visiting hours at night, do they?"
Roy spread his hands.
"I'm a student! I have classes during the day, so I can only go at night, but I made an appointment in advance."
Well, Wade made an appointment with his cousin Seth, so that counts as an appointment, right?
This explanation was reasonable enough, so Elena didn't doubt it anymore.
However, after learning such important information, Elena no longer felt like enjoying dinner.
"Saltana, Roy, I won't disturb your little romantic dinner. I wouldn't want you to blame me later."
"What are you talking about, Elena! Roy is still a kid!"
Hearing this, Roy quickly clarified.
"Ahem, after my birthday in June, I'll be 19."
This made Saltana blush a little. It seemed there was a difference in level even among older sisters.
Elena patted Roy's shoulder and gave him a thumbs up.
"Keep it up!"
With one less person, the dining atmosphere between Roy and Saltana suddenly became pink. The female agent silently ate her meal with her head down, not saying a word, but the blush on her face became more and more obvious.
At this time, the head chef even came over to help out, asking Roy if he wanted some red wine to liven things up.
"Then you'll have to ask this lady. If she doesn't arrest me, I might give it a try."
Roy was only 18 years old, and the legal drinking age in America is 21.
Saltana gave Roy a charming glare.
"Arresting minors for drinking doesn't fall under the jurisdiction of our FEA."
Roy snapped his fingers.
"Then let's do it!"
"No problem, I just happen to have a good bottle of red wine hidden here. It's perfect for accompanying the meal!"
After a few sips of red wine, Saltana's cheeks became even redder, and there was even some redness on her neck. It seemed that her courage had also grown a lot because of the alcohol.
"Roy, you're a supernatural being, aren't you?"
This question made the smile on Roy's face fade a little.
"Hmm—in what capacity are you asking me? As a senior agent of the FEA, or as my friend?"
Saltana looked at Roy seriously.
"Of course, as a friend!"
Chapter 103: Freddy the Monstrous Freak
Roy had long known that he couldn't keep his abilities a secret forever. After all, too many extraordinary things had happened to him, and any normal person would start to suspect something.
It was only because Roy had a good image that he hadn't been taken in for questioning already.
But this time, Roy revealing that he had taken down over fifty mercenaries was different. That was something beyond what an ordinary person could do, even a top-tier special forces operative would find it hard to believe, let alone a high school senior.
Rather than have this information surface through someone else, it was better to reveal it to Sultana.
At least this big sister seemed to have a good impression of him and probably wouldn't betray him.
"Hmm—sort of? One day, I suddenly felt my physical fitness start to improve rapidly, and I became capable of anything, like Superman."
Roy rolled up his sleeves and showed off his biceps. He had been bulking up recently, and his muscle definition had become even more impressive.
"Is it a physical mutation? That's still a relatively good situation."
Sultana breathed a slight sigh of relief.
"Roy, normally, supernatural individuals have to register with the FEA and accept surveillance. However, I can make you my informant. That way, you won't need to be monitored. And each time you report a supernatural event, you'll receive an informant fee."
This offer sounded pretty good.
"Are there any requirements?"
"You'll have a file created with your detailed information, and you must report intelligence on at least three supernatural events each year. Otherwise, your informant status will be revoked."
Roy nodded.
"Then, can the incident that happened in Waterfall Town yesterday count as one of them?"
"Of course."
"Alright, I agree! But I'm stating this beforehand: I trust you, Sister Sultana. I'll only be your informant. If anyone else wants to take over, I'll refuse!"
Roy's words made Sultana's eyes turn into beautiful crescent moons, and she couldn't stop the smile from spreading across her face.
"Then I'll also guarantee that your file won't be seen by anyone else."
That was the desired effect.
By this point, the two had almost finished eating, and Sultana finally brought up the case from last night.
"Roy, how much do you know about what happened last night?"
"More than you think. I know who the killer is."
Sultana looked somewhat surprised.
"You know who the killer is? Then why didn't you report it and have him caught?"
Roy looked a little helpless.
"Because the killer is a vengeful spirit. He only exists in dreams, and you can't catch him in reality."
Hearing this, Sultana seemed to think of something. She immediately took out a laptop from her bag, typed a few keys, and showed it to Roy.
"Is this Freddy the killer you're talking about?"
Roy hadn't expected the FEA to have records on Freddy. It seemed this department wasn't entirely useless. Maybe it was just established too late and didn't have enough manpower.
Sultana began to explain the FEA's classified documents.
"Last year, in Elm Street near Austin City, there was an incident where over a dozen teenagers died mysteriously. The FEA sent people to investigate at the time and only found one survivor named Nancy Thompson. The information in the bureau's files is all recorded based on Nancy's own account."
Wasn't that a coincidence?
"Sister Sultana, at the beginning of the year, Nancy just happened to transfer to my high school and was in my class."
"So that's how it is!"
Sultana nodded in understanding. Roy continued with his speculation.
"I've confronted Freddy in dreams. As long as there's no fear, he'll lose his power, but it's very difficult to kill him. We tried to bring him out of the dream, but we failed. That guy is alert now, and it might be difficult to deal with him using the old methods."
"Are you saying Freddy is unkillable?"
"Not necessarily! After discussing it with Nancy and the others, we think we can find the reason for Freddy's birth, and perhaps we can find a way to kill him from that."
Sultana frowned slightly.
"What you're saying makes some sense. I've encountered similar things in cases I've handled before. But the most important issue now is to stop Freddy from going on a killing spree. If the Elm Street incident happens again, it will be troublesome. Roy, do you have any ideas?"
That was the biggest trouble!
Waterfall Town had a much larger population than Elm Street, and there were also more teenagers.
Once a large-scale death event occurred, it would be impossible to suppress.
Looking at Sultana's bright eyes, Roy stated his solution without hesitation.
"Freddy can only kill by entering teenagers' dreams. If they don't dream, wouldn't that solve the problem?"
Sultana immediately reacted.
"Fast-acting sleeping pills, directly inducing deep sleep! Roy, you're a genius!"
Saying this, an excited Sultana hugged Roy and kissed him on the cheek.
"This is a friendship kiss!"
After the kiss, Sultana realized that her behavior had been a bit too impulsive and quickly explained herself.
"Sister Sultana, how can we upgrade from a friendship kiss to a love kiss?"
Sultana laughed and patted Roy's shoulder.
"That will depend on your performance, little brother!"
Hearing this, Roy reached out and hugged Sultana tightly, letting her know that this little brother wasn't little at all.
"Sister Sultana, still little?"
Roy's actions made Sultana a little flustered. She quickly broke free from his embrace.
"Ahem! I'm going to try the method you just mentioned. See you tomorrow!"
After speaking, Sultana dashed out of the restaurant, muttering to herself as she walked.
"Sultana, why would you have such thoughts? Roy is 10 years younger than you!"
Roy watched the big sister leave the restaurant, then got up to pay the bill. However, the restaurant owner didn't want Roy's money but instead wanted his autograph.
"Hey, Roy, I'm a big fan of your boxing! I think you'll definitely become a boxing champion in the future, so your autograph will definitely be very valuable!"
The fact that the restaurant owner was a die-hard boxing fan of his was a bit unexpected for Roy, but he didn't refuse the man's kindness.
Roy didn't drive after drinking, so he took a slow walk around town.
While walking, Roy suddenly thought of the female reporter, Keller Evans. She hadn't had any news lately.
So, Roy picked up his phone and dialed Keller's number.
"Hello, this is Molly."
"Molly? Why is it you? Where's Keller?"
Roy felt a faint sense of unease in his heart.
Molly on the other end of the phone hesitated for a moment, then honestly answered Roy.
"Keller wanted to get evidence and personally went undercover at that club. She left her phone with me."
Roy frowned deeply. This female reporter hadn't forgotten her righteous path and was practically asking for death!
"When did this happen?"
"Just yesterday."
"Do you still have contact with her?"
"Yes, we got two new phones to communicate."
"Tell her to come back quickly. I can't leave right now. If something happens to her, no one will be able to help her!"
The next day, two more students from Oakwood High School died mysteriously in their homes, causing the parents' emotions to collapse.
Some parents had already organized and were causing trouble at the town hall, but Mayor Simon couldn't do anything.
Last night, Sultana reported Roy's method, and the FEA did urgently purchase a batch of fast-acting sleeping pills and had the town government distribute them to the teenagers in town.
But the result was that everyone didn't trust the town government's words. Some took the pills, some didn't, which led to this situation.
This was the American government's own fault. They had pulled so many shady moves in the past, how could you expect the common people to trust you?
Who knew if there was anything else mixed into those fast-acting sleeping pills?
The only good news was that none of the teenagers who took the fast-acting sleeping pills were killed by Freddy, indicating that the pills were effective.

Roy and Nancy, who were in class, were suddenly called out by the principal. Then, in the principal's office, they saw Sultana. Standing beside her were two men in black suits, the same two they had seen in Snowdrift Town.
"Roy, Ms. Thompson, we need your assistance in dealing with Freddy."
Nancy curiously glanced at Roy. From the chocolate beauty agent's tone, she could tell that the two of them were quite familiar with each other.
"Sister Sultana, have you found out anything?"
"Yes, last night, the FEA investigated the rumors about Freddy in Elm Street overnight and has already made some progress."
As expected of the country's violent machinery, their investigation speed was fast.
If Roy had to investigate on his own, it would probably take him several days to find any leads.
"So, what do we need to do?"
Sultana looked at Nancy, then at Roy.
"We're going to the place where Freddy was born. It might be a little dangerous."
Roy didn't care about this little bit of danger. He just wanted to get rid of Freddy quickly, otherwise, he wouldn't dare to leave Jennifer and Needy's side.
Nancy didn't refuse either. She also really wanted to get rid of this nightmare that was Freddy.
"I don't have a problem, but can I bring one more person?"
Sultana looked a little strange.
"Who do you want to bring?"
Of course, it was Jennifer!
Although Lilith, who was inside Jennifer's body, had average combat power, she knew many strange and bizarre spells, which might be helpful at crucial moments.
Out of trust for Roy, Sultana allowed him to bring Jennifer along.
The three of them followed Sultana into a police car with the English letters F.E.A.R. printed on it, and then they left Oakwood High School.
There were a total of five such police cars, filled with heavily armed combat personnel. Judging by their equipment, they seemed even better equipped than the Black Mountain mercenaries at the Gospel Sanitarium that day.
Sultana introduced these combat personnel to Roy and the others.
"They are members of the First Encounter Assault Recon team, abbreviated as FEAR. They are a mobile unit under the Federal Emergency Agency."
Just like the SWAT team under the FBI, they were special police forces used to deal with big trouble. No wonder they looked so well-equipped.
However, FEAR should have stronger combat capabilities than SWAT. After all, this unit sometimes had to face supernatural enemies, which was a completely different concept from dealing with terrorists and drug traffickers.
"Sister Sultana, where are we going?"
"Last night, after I got the information from you, I immediately had people investigate the place where Freddy was born. We finally found it in the Elm Street Town Hall's archives. We are going to that place now, a mental hospital near Elm Street."
As soon as Sultana said this, Roy thought of some movie plots.
In A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, Freddy's origin story was told.
It was roughly about Freddy's mother, a pure nun, who was collectively raped by a group of insane mental patients in a mental hospital and gave birth to Freddy.
This origin story was very much in line with the mystical and bizarre tropes of early Hollywood. The rebooted Nightmare on Elm Street didn't play it this way.
Considering that Lilith had previously said that she smelled Samael's scent on Freddy, Roy suspected that Freddy's birth was probably not that simple.
Elm Street wasn't too far from Waterfall Town, only a few hours' drive. After arriving, the convoy continued to drive towards the mental hospital where Freddy was born.
This mental hospital was also built in a remote, sparsely populated area.
Around two o'clock in the afternoon, Roy and the others arrived at their destination.
What came into view was a large classical-style building. Judging from the large amount of vegetation covering the building, it must have been abandoned for at least several decades.
Sultana introduced the situation of the mental hospital.
"Not long after Freddy was born, a serious infectious disease broke out in this mental hospital. Almost all the patients living inside died from the illness. Only a few doctors escaped and told outsiders about the situation inside the mental hospital. Since then, this mental hospital has been completely abandoned."
It sounded a little strange.
Roy and Jennifer exchanged a glance. Jennifer had the same feeling.
"Are we just going to go in like this?"
"Of course not. We still need to put on our equipment first. Although more than thirty years have passed, the pathogens inside might have disappeared, but it's still best to take some precautions."
That made sense!
Roy took the professional tactical gear Sultana handed him, including a gas mask, helmet, gloves, and so on.
After putting on the equipment, there was basically no part of his body in contact with the air.
As the on-site commander, after seeing that everyone was ready, Sultana gave the order.
"First team, enter the mental hospital to scout."
The 12 members of FEAR's first team obeyed the order and entered the abandoned mental hospital.
These team members' tactical helmets even had cameras, allowing Commander Sultana to remotely see what they were seeing.
The government's equipment was indeed different. If the Black Mountain mercenaries had this system, it wouldn't have been so easy for Roy to set traps.
"Commander, first team is in position!"
Through the footage captured by the camera, it could be seen that the first team was now in the lobby of the mental hospital. It was a mess, with various pieces of furniture overturned on the ground, and weeds even growing out of some floor cracks.
"Check the air quality."
"Air quality, safe!"
"Very good. You two and the third team will stay at the gate. The second team and the others will come in with me."
After having her two followers stay to guard the gate, Sultana took the lead and entered the mental hospital.
The others here, besides Roy and the three of them, included some staff members and three men wearing priest robes, who looked like they were from the church.
Speaking of which, since this world had demons, monsters, and evil spirits, the church should also possess some power.
It couldn't be that only the angel Michael was running around putting out fires everywhere, right?
As soon as they entered the lobby, Roy saw a huge blood-colored pentagram on the floor of the lobby.
Does anyone think the new version of Nancy (Rooney Mara) from A Nightmare on Elm Street is pretty?
