Chapter 67: I Was Just Kidding
🕑 Added 2025-05-16 17:10:34 +0000 UTCJust as Clive pulled out his gun and aimed, he saw a revolver suddenly appear in Roy's empty hand, pointing at him.
The guy's head instantly felt a little dizzy. Where did that revolver come from?
In reality, Roy and Penny had been carried into the dining room almost completely naked, with only a blanket wrapped around them. Logically, Roy's only weapon should have been the one he was born with.
Little did Clive know that Roy had an inventory.
And so, the first gunshot was the sound of Clive's head being blown apart by Roy's shot.
Immediately after, the chef reacted and tried to grab Roy to take back his shotgun, but unfortunately, Roy had been wary of this guy all along because the chef was right behind him and posed the biggest threat.
Roy used the hand holding the revolver to hug Penny and stand up, then smoothly delivered an tiěshānkào (iron mountain lean) with 2.5 years of practice, knocking the chef away. Then, holding the Remington M870 by the grip, he swung the barrel around and shot the chef.
Shooting a shotgun at such close range didn't require any aiming at all, and the chef's large body perfectly absorbed all the scattered pellets.
This was Roy's second shot.
However, the chef didn't die immediately, nor did he fall to the ground. The thick layer of fat on this guy's body became the best protection, actually withstanding a shotgun blast.
Of course, spiritual power was also a very important reason. "God gives me strength!"
The chef roared and charged towards Roy, trying to make a last-ditch effort. Roy curled his lip, stylishly chambered a round with one hand, then shot the chef in the head, causing his head to explode like a watermelon.
This was the result of the third shot.
The charging chef, unable to find his head, directly fell to the ground. His corpse slid in front of Roy, almost dirtying his feet.
After three shots, there were two more corpses in the dining room, and Penny was on the verge of completely losing it.
Every time Roy fired a shot, Penny's body would convulse violently. At this point, she looked like she was about to lose consciousness.
However, Roy remained very vigilant. There were still two enemies in the dining room.
When Clive's wife saw Roy aiming the gun at her, she immediately dropped the fruit knife in her hand and knelt on the ground, crying bitterly. "I'm sorry, they forced me to do all this! Please, spare me!"
Roy looked at Clive's wife with amusement. He could sense the resentment and malice in her eyes. This person was likely the second most wicked individual in this cult group, after Kevin.
"Don't be stupid. I don't kill women. Get out of here!"
Hearing this, Clive's wife hurriedly ran towards the dining room door without any hesitation.
Sure enough, when disaster strikes, everyone looks out for themselves! Bang! Roy chambered another round in the Remington M870 with one hand and fired a shot at Clive's wife's back. This one didn't have the chef's thick layer of fat, so a second shot wasn't needed.
"Sorry, I was just kidding."
The Penny in his arms had reached her limit and bit Roy on the shoulder. It didn't leave any marks because Roy's skin was too thick.
"Come out, Kevin. Now it's just you left."
Kevin slowly crawled out from under the round table. In addition to the black leather book, he was also holding a revolver.
Sure enough, this guy also had a gun, he just kept it hidden before.
"I knew it! Your heart is full of sin!"
Roy chambered a round in the Remington M870 with one hand right in front of Kevin and then pointed the muzzle at him.
"Are these your last words?"
With that, Roy was about to pull the trigger.
"Wait! Young man, you are very talented. Join my cult! I can make you my second-in-command. If we work together, we will definitely be able to rule the world!"
"You're out of your damn mind!"
Bang!
Roy directly pulled the trigger, and dozens of pellets flew towards Kevin. At that moment, Kevin closed his eyes. However, unexpectedly, just as the pellets were about to hit Kevin, they seemed to hit an invisible wall of air and fell to the ground.
This is...
Kevin opened his eyes, his face full of the surprise of being reborn and an unspeakable fanaticism.
"Look! This is the power God has given me. Join my cult, and you too can be as invincible as I am!"
Roy guessed that Kevin must have just cast some kind of witchcraft on himself to be able to withstand the shotgun blast.
But it doesn't matter. It's just a matter of firing a few more shots. If this guy was really so invincible, why would he be holed up in this backwater running a motel? Wouldn't it be better to just storm the White House and become president?
"I don't believe you can block the second shot, the third shot, the fourth shot! Do you want to try?"
Kevin's expression fell again, showing that he himself wasn't actually sure.
So, Kevin also aimed the muzzle of his revolver at Roy.
"Do we really have to end up in a lose-lose situation?"
"What do you say?"
Roy patted Penny's butt, signaling her to adjust her position. The blonde woman almost completely blocked Roy's body, preventing Kevin from aiming at Roy's torso.
As for shooting directly at the head, the risk was too great. Not everyone could aim and shoot as accurately as Roy. Especially in such a tense moment, if your hand even slightly trembled, the muzzle would shift, and only God knew where the bullet would fly. The situation seemed to freeze for a moment.
Kevin wasn't confident he could take out Roy with one shot, and Roy also didn't know if his next shot would finish off Kevin.
However, besides Roy, Penny, and Kevin, there was actually a fourth person present, but Roy and Kevin, who were facing off, were too focused to notice Molly's small movements.
"Alright, young man, let's both take a step back! I can let you leave, as long as you put down the shotgun in your hands."
"Huh? Why can't you put down the revolver in your hand, and then I let you leave?"
Neither side trusted the other. Saying any more was useless.
Just at this moment, the people in the dining room simultaneously heard someone shouting from outside. "Molly, are you in there?" It turned out that Molly's father had arrived.
This change completely broke the stalemate. Kevin realized the situation was hopeless and immediately shot at Roy's torso.
Normally, Roy would definitely have exchanged fire with Kevin without hesitation, but he was still holding Penny in his arms! Roy had no choice but to turn and duck, trying to use his powerful physique of 31 points in Constitution to withstand Kevin's revolver.
This action caused Penny's body to clench violently once again, and she uncontrollably kissed Roy on the mouth, completely disregarding the situation. Fortunately, the fourth person present, Molly, finally made a move after observing for a while, suddenly throwing herself at Kevin.
This caused all of Kevin's shots to hit the ceiling.
As everyone knows, most revolvers only have six chambers. When Kevin pushed Molly away and tried to shoot again, he found that the revolver was out of bullets. At this time, Roy had already drawn his weapon and placed Penny on a chair.
"Wait for me!"
