*Chapter 51: San Fernando Valley Production*
🕑 Added 2025-05-08 02:04:58 +0000 UTC"Roy, we're already at the airport. We should arrive in Aspen by the afternoon. See you at the ski resort!"
"Alright, I'll get everything ready beforehand. See you then!"
Roy, who was eating breakfast, sensed that the magic circle he had drawn had been triggered. He originally wanted to go upstairs right away to check, but then Niddy happened to call.
Luckily, the magic circle Roy set up lasts a long time, so after finishing the call and going upstairs, he still saw Sadako and Kayako bound by tons of red energy ropes.
This magic circle is an ancient one recorded in the Key of Solomon, originally used by King Solomon to imprison and bind demons.
The full version of the magic circle can even directly trap high-ranking demons. Roy's version is like the super budget, stripped-down version, only drawn with magically charged blood, but it's definitely enough to deal with two evil spirits.
As for the magically charged blood, well, that's naturally Roy's own blood.
Roy hung up the phone and then whistled as he walked upstairs. If you listened closely, you'd realize he was whistling the classic saxophone part from "New Thang."
Arriving in the second-floor bedroom, Roy casually picked up the digital camera lying nearby and saw on the monitor two white-clad female ghosts facing each other, trapped by a golden magic circle on Heather's body.
And, little Toshio was just squatting at the head of the bed, watching.
When Roy saw Sadako and Kayako, the two female ghosts also saw him.
Everything that happened last night flashed back in an instant, and Sadako and Kayako immediately started struggling like crazy.
Seeing this scene, Roy couldn't help but say a classic line.
"Heh heh heh, even if you scream your lungs out, no one will come to save you!"
After saying that, Roy felt like something was off. Isn't that something a bad guy would say?
But oh well, he's already the Child of the Demon, so who cares, right?
"Little dude, what's about to happen is not suitable for kids. Let's talk when you're older!"
Roy grabbed Toshio, gave him a world-class kick in the butt that sent the little ghost flying out of the bedroom, and then closed the bedroom door.
Right after that, he woke Heather up.
"Heather, wake up!"
Heather had taken a serious beating last night and was super tired. When Roy shook her awake, her first thought was that he wanted to go for an extra round.
"Wait, honey, I really can't take anymore! I feel like I'm already swollen!"
"That's not it. I caught those two female ghosts!"
As soon as she heard the words "female ghosts," Heather woke up instantly.
"Female ghosts! Why are there still two?"
"Yeah, one is the female ghost from the cursed videotape, and the other is the female ghost from this guesthouse."
Hearing this, Heather gasped and felt a chill all over.
"So, we spent the whole night with two female ghosts?"
Roy smiled and handed the digital camera to Heather.
"Actually, there's nothing to be afraid of. Look!"
Heather looked at the camera's monitor and saw two scary-looking female ghosts trapped by a golden magic circle on top of her blanket.
"Ah!"
Suddenly seeing this, Heather was so scared she almost dropped the digital camera.
But soon, Heather noticed that the two female ghosts' terrifying faces were full of fear, which made her feel like she had just discovered something amazing.
"These two female ghosts are scared! Can ghosts even be scared?"
Heather curiously wanted to reach out and touch the female ghosts, as if she wanted to know what ghosts felt like. Roy stopped her just in time.
Only Roy, who possessed the Key of Solomon, could touch ghosts without any problems. Ordinary people definitely couldn't do that.
Direct contact with evil spirits could lead to a curse and a serious illness at best, and death at worst.
"Heather, you can't touch them. It's really dangerous!"
"Oh, I see! Roy, then why did you wake me up?"
"To prevent these two female ghosts from continuing to bother you, I've decided to completely subdue them! Heather, I need you to help me film the process."
As he said that, Roy gave Kayako's plump behind a hard slap. You can really tell she's a married woman who's had kids.
Seeing this, Heather's expression became strange. She had already figured out what Roy meant by "subdue."
For some reason, a unique sense of excitement welled up from the bottom of Heather's heart.
This was way more exciting than traveling all the way from Los Angeles to Texas to inherit an estate.
"Okay! I even thought about becoming a director when I was little!"
"Well, perfect! What you're filming now is a blockbuster that even the San Fernando Valley doesn't get to see!"
Roy started taking off his clothes, getting into battle mode. Because the digital camera was in Heather's hands, he couldn't see the two bound female ghosts in front of him. He could only rely on his memory to pin them down and then follow his instincts to get to work.
Anyway, there were holes to fill, and since they were female ghosts, Roy didn't have to worry about hurting them.
"Stay still!"
Even though he couldn't see them, Roy could still feel Sadako and Kayako struggling. After gathering mental power in his hands and slapping the female ghosts below a few times, the resistance immediately disappeared.
Seriously, these female ghosts are such bullies to the weak and afraid of the strong!
Heather excitedly filmed with the digital camera, and she even gave acting instructions like a real director.
"Roy, what's the name of the fuller one?"
"Her name is Kayako. She used to be the female owner of this guesthouse."
"Kayako, got it. Loosen up your expression a bit. You're a married woman; you need to be more unrestrained! Yes, like that, perfect! That's the kind of initiative I'm looking for!"
Then Heather started filming Roy's expression.
"Roy, furrow your brow slightly. You look so incredibly handsome when you furrow your brow!"
Seeing that Heather was having a blast, Roy simply started acting like an actor.
"Director, is this the right expression?"
"Perfect!"
Heather then turned the camera to Sadako, who was pinned underneath Kayako.
"And this young female ghost... Roy, what was her name again?"
"Her name is Sadako. She's the female ghost who lives in the cursed videotape."
"Sadako, even though it's not your part yet, you need to get into it too. Don't be like a log. Give me some shy, girlish charm, you know what I mean?"
This Sadako was clearly more stubborn than Kayako and completely ignored the director's on-set instructions, which made Roy, who was both the male lead and the security guard, very unhappy.
Aiming at the general area, he slapped her.
"Do what the director tells you, understand?"
Heather saw Sadako on the monitor, and her eyes immediately cleared up. She knew she had to cooperate with the director's instructions and make the right expressions.
As everyone knows, the filming duration of a movie is much longer than the final cut.
A theatrical movie might only be 90 minutes long, but the total filming time could exceed 900 minutes. There would be a lot of useless shots that need to be edited in post-production to achieve the best effect.
But movies from the San Fernando Valley tend to have fewer useless shots.
The male lead, Roy, was online the whole time. After three hours of hard work, he finally heard the system notification sound.
