*Chapter 49: Madam, You Wouldn't Want...*
🕑 Added 2025-05-06 20:11:34 +0000 UTCAfter Roy bandaged Heather's wound, he just stayed in the kitchen to help out, and he could also get some footage with his digital camera.
Tonight's dinner was black pepper sirloin steak, which Heather learned from Jenny, and piping hot Russian borscht – a real energy bomb, you could say.
It was pretty obvious that there was going to be a big fight tonight.
Heather arranged the food, then lit the candles and turned off the lights, setting up a romantic candlelight dinner.
And what's a candlelight dinner without wine, right?
Roy took out a bottle of red wine, opened it, and poured it into a decanter.
With the air conditioning and the alcohol working together, the room started to heat up quickly. Even if the digital camera monitor showed some weird stuff, nobody really cared.
"Roy, I think I'm a little tipsy."
Heather's face was flushed, and she looked at Roy with dreamy eyes.
"Want to go upstairs and relax for a bit now?"
Roy went along with Heather's suggestion.
"I want to take a shower first. I feel like I'm a bit stinky!"
"How about I carry you to the shower?"
"Mmm-hmm!"
Even though Roy had already showered once, who doesn't want to get extra clean, right?
Bringing the digital camera into the bathroom, Roy used a long cleaning tool and all-natural body wash to scrub Heather from head to toe.
By the end, Heather was practically out of it.
Yeah, it's probably because she showered right after drinking. So, if you feel drunk, definitely don't shower immediately, or you might end up like Heather.
Gently carrying Heather to the bedroom upstairs, Roy didn't forget to bring the digital camera. Everything that happened tonight needed to be recorded as a memento for the two of them.
After putting Heather down, all the lights in the house suddenly went out.
Outside, the town of Snowdrift was brightly lit, but inside, it was completely silent, like they were in two different worlds.
Roy realized that Sadako or Kayako had started to make a move. Considering Sadako takes a while to get going, it was probably Kayako who was acting now.
"Roy, I suddenly feel really cold!"
Heather, still feeling the afterglow, hadn't realized how serious things were. She just felt a bit chilly.
Roy also felt the temperature in the room drop. There was no way this was a natural temperature change.
The heating had just stopped; the temperature couldn't drop this fast.
"It's okay, Heather. I'll warm you up in no time!"
Roy picked up the digital camera, warming Heather's body from the inside out while looking around for the one causing trouble.
Then Roy saw a little boy squatting on the windowsill, watching the two of them doing their thing.
"Hey, brat! What are you looking at? Go get your mom!"
"Ah! Roy, who are you talking to?"
"Sweetheart, don't worry about it. Just close your eyes and enjoy the feeling. Don't worry about anything else."
Heather closed her eyes, bit her lip, and fully immersed herself in the feeling of ranking up in doubles.
Unexpectedly, right after Roy finished yelling, he actually saw Kayako, Toshio's mom, crawling in from the bedroom entrance with a freaky, bone-cracking posture on the monitor.
"How do you even control your kid?!"
Roy pointed at Kayako's nose and started cursing. Because he was so worked up, Heather in his arms even rolled her eyes in annoyance.
However, Kayako ignored Roy's accusations, making weird noises and giving off a creepy vibe.
Roy frowned, feeling like this ghost lady was impossible to communicate with.
Well, there was no other way then. Roy could only use the same method he used during the day, covering his hands with mental power to directly touch the spirit.
Taking out a heated rod, Roy walked straight to Kayako and grabbed her hair.
"Heh heh heh..."
Kayako probably hadn't encountered this kind of thing in her ghostly career, so she was clearly taken aback for a moment.
Roy took a good look at Kayako. Her huge, wide eyes practically took up half her face. Her eyes, just like Toshio's, were completely black, and black liquid kept dripping from her mouth.
Her face was really not pretty; someone with a weak heart might just die of fright.
However, Kayako's figure seemed pretty good – prominent airbags, a slender waist, and delicate arms and legs. To use a phrase from an online forum at the University of Tokyo, she was "slender but fruitful."
Wow, looking at her figure, Roy suddenly thought Kayako's face was starting to look kind of cute.
Last night, his… ahem… spellcasting was interrupted halfway through. Tonight, he was disturbed by Kayako again. Plus, he'd had quite a bit of wine. Roy was starting to lose control of the wild energy within him.
This is where we need to talk about the special ability that evolved from Demon Possession: Child of the Demon.
The effect of Child of the Demon is incredibly powerful, but it definitely comes with a cost.
Since he was leaning towards the demonic, he was bound to pick up a bit of the seven deadly sins, right?
The newest and fastest updates are available at [website address - likely a placeholder, so I'll omit it].
Roy's self-control had been slipping lately. Luckily, his willpower was at 22, so he could still maintain a normal consciousness.
"Tsk tsk tsk, madam, you wouldn't want your kid to suffer, would you?"
This very Japanese-style line seemed to trigger Kayako's PTSD, and she immediately started struggling violently.
Too bad, no matter how hard she struggled, she couldn't break free. Their strength levels were just on completely different scales.
Roy held Kayako down, then covered his whole body with mental power. What followed was a standard combo.
Grasp of Frost!
Glacial Spike!
In that instant, Roy felt like he had fallen into an ice cellar, but it wasn't a huge problem. With his current physique, he could handle it.
Still, being a death knight for the first time, Roy was a bit excited, and his fighting power was especially strong.
Luckily, the target of the attack was a ghost to begin with.
Even so, Kayako's face had already started to look normal, and she kept looking at Roy with pleading eyes, begging for mercy.
Of course, Roy was seeing this pleading look through the digital camera monitor. If Heather woke up and looked over at this moment, she would see Roy fiercely fighting thin air.
"Just hang in there! I'll be done soon!"
Kayako could only grit her teeth and endure. A hint of color actually appeared on her pale cheeks, although it was very faint.
But Kayako still fell for Roy's trick. This endurance lasted for nearly an hour before Roy released his life force.
In that instant, Kayako's face seemed to return to that of a normal person, no longer the terrifying and scary look of an evil spirit.
Huh? Does my life force have this kind of effect?
During this moment of surprise, Heather's body suddenly shrunk back under the covers.
"The heck! Playing dirty, are we?!"
No need to ask, the sneak attacker was definitely Sadako. She took advantage of Roy being in his "sage time" (that post-climax clarity) to try and move Heather somewhere else.
An angry Roy directly activated his Child of the Demon state, using his arm to block the special space Sadako used to travel through within the blanket.
Roy reached in and pulled out both Heather and Sadako.
Sadako stared at Roy with wide eyes, making some kind of weird noise.
"Kaka..."
Roy slapped her.
"Ka your mom!"
Couldn't find a fan art of Kayako, so I had to use another picture of Sadako instead.
