Chapter 56: Child's Play
🕑 Added 2025-05-10 01:49:15 +0000 UTCThe killer doll Chucky isn't as famous as some of his contemporaries like Jason or Freddy, but the fact that the horror franchise has reached its eighth installment and even had a TV series reboot in 2021 shows just how successful this guy is.
The movie begins with a serial killer named Ray who, when cornered by the police, chooses to use voodoo to transfer his soul into a toy doll, thus escaping capture.
However, due to various reasons, Ray failed to transfer his soul back into a human body and was forced to permanently bond with the toy doll.
Thus, the classic killer toy doll of cinema history was born.
However, in the original movie, Chucky's voodoo skills were quite rudimentary, basically just soul transfer.
What Roy is currently seeing doesn't seem to be the case. This version of Chucky is probably even more powerful than the movie version.
Moreover, Roy remembers that the protagonist of the first movie was a single mother and a little boy, which is clearly not Kelly's family situation.
Could it be the second movie?
Hmm, Roy's most vivid memory is still from "Bride of Chucky," with Ray's ex-girlfriend, Tiffany.
The female characters in this series are generally not that great. The director and producers seem to have questionable taste.
In any case, after equipping the Ghostface mask in his inventory, Roy entered the vacation home.
Snowmass Village is quite international, and you can see architecture from all over the world here, even Chinese-style courtyards.
The vacation home Kelly's family rented was a typical European-style building, somewhat Mediterranean in style, and much larger than Roy's Japanese-style rental.
At this moment, the villa was pitch black, as if the power had been turned off.
A short figure was moving around inside the house, constantly spouting various trash talk.
"Little Andy, where are you? Come out, come out! Let Uncle Chucky give you some love!"
No one responded to Chucky, but he wasn't discouraged. He continued to talk trash while searching all the possible hiding places.
"Don't be afraid! It'll hurt a little at first, but you'll feel very comfortable soon!"
Is that even human language?
Okay, Chucky the killer doll is definitely not human anymore.
Chucky searched room by room, and after eliminating a large number of incorrect answers, he was getting closer and closer to his target.
"You know what, little Andy? Your birth mother in the foster home? I already took care of her!"
This sentence finally produced some slight movement. This kind of simple and direct provocation is always the most effective in stirring up emotions.
Chucky keenly caught the subtle sound and started whistling as he walked towards the direction of the noise.
"I~see~you!"
Pretending not to have noticed anything, he passed the target location, letting them feel like they had escaped danger, then silently circled back, allowing them to experience extreme fear in a moment of relaxation. This was Chucky's favorite thing to do.
This time was no different. When Chucky opened the closet, seeing the despair and fear in the eyes of Kelly and Andy huddled together filled him with immense satisfaction.
"Gotcha!"
Chucky was very proud and raised the fruit knife in his hand to stab Kelly. His target was Andy, as he wanted to transfer his soul into the boy's body.
As for everyone else, they were just troublesome people who knew too much and had to be eliminated.
However, the moment Chucky made his move, he suddenly felt his hand lighten, and the fruit knife was gone.
"You little brat, this isn't a toy, you can't just play with it like that!"
Kelly, who had already closed her eyes and was waiting to die, immediately opened them in surprise when she heard Roy's voice. However, she became worried again when she saw Roy's overly relaxed attitude towards Chucky.
"Roy, be careful of that doll!"
Chucky turned his head and saw a tall, handsome, dark-haired guy ruining his plans. He immediately flew into a rage, and the seasoned trash-talker started cursing.
"Fuck you! Where did you come from, pretty boy? Go home and bend over! Don't interfere with me!"
Apart from the Ghostface killer in the first jump scare incident, this was only the second time Roy had encountered such a foul-mouthed horror movie killer.
The subsequent Michael Myers, Leatherface, and the Sinclair brothers were all the type of characters who were ruthless and didn't talk much.
"The way you talk trash reminds me of an old friend! I think it's necessary to teach you how to speak in a harmonious society!"
After saying this, Roy suddenly grabbed Chucky's leg, lifted him up, and repeatedly slammed him onto the ground.
Action choreography by Bruce Banner.
Kelly and Andy, hiding in the closet, were both dumbfounded.
In reality, Chucky's physical attributes weren't low. He was about as strong as a standard adult male, and his small size gave him a certain deceptive advantage, making his sneak attacks almost always successful.
But this level of physical strength was completely insufficient against Roy, so he could only be used as a punching bag by Roy.
"Enough!"
Having been beaten badly, Chucky couldn't take it anymore and used some special power to blast Roy away.
This guy really did possess some voodoo magic. The only question was how skilled he was.

"Pretty boy, I admit you're very strong, but how will you deal with this move?"
His nose and face bruised and swollen, his head seemingly larger, Chucky looked at Roy with a very vicious gaze. He chanted some kind of spell, and in an instant, the surrounding furniture began to shake, and some smaller objects even floated up.
If an ordinary person saw this scene, they would definitely be terrified, but unfortunately, Roy was someone who had seen things.
Roy had a disdainful expression on his face, then quickly pulled out his Smith & Wesson M625 and shot Chucky in the head.
Chucky was directly sent flying by the kinetic energy of the .45 caliber bullet, crashing into the wall and falling silent.
"That's it?"
Roy scoffed, then did a gun twirl, coolly blowing on the barrel.
"Roy, is it dead?"
"No way is it that simple. This guy is probably waiting for me to go over and check so he can ambush me!"
Roy remembered that in the movies, the little Chucky was practically a legendary unkillable character. This version of Chucky could only be even more difficult to kill than in the movies; there was no way one shot would take him down.
He would still rely on the system notification for receiving a fate treasure chest.
Hearing Roy directly say his plan, Chucky, who was pretending to be dead, had no choice but to get up while cursing.
"Motherfucker! Who the hell are you! Why are you ruining my plans!"
Roy looked at Chucky expressionlessly.
"Trash, do you want me to help you brush your teeth? With a .45 caliber bullet!"
Seeing the Smith & Wesson M625 in Roy's hand, Chucky's expression became very ugly. Although he possessed some dark magic, he was no match for modern firearms.
Otherwise, Chucky wouldn't have been forced to transfer his soul into a toy doll's body.
His eyeballs rolled around a few times, and Chucky had a new idea.
"Hey, young man, maybe we can make a deal! I can give you some money, how about you hand over that little boy to me?"
Hearing this, Roy became somewhat interested.
"Oh? How much money?"
