*Chapter 37: The Brand*
🕑 Added 2025-04-30 03:15:27 +0000 UTCAs the demon's power faded, Roy's sanity gradually returned, and then he realized what he had been doing.
"Why did you stop? Keep going!" she couldn't help but urge him to continue after noticing Roy had stopped.
Roy had a strange feeling, like he had turned into some kind of bird. But this rich woman was young and beautiful, wealthy and generous, so it didn't feel like a loss.
Elizabeth, on the other hand, looked very pleased, radiantly conjuring clothes and putting them on.
"Little Roy, well done. I'm quite satisfied. I'll look for you again if I have the chance."
Wait, Roy had just wanted to say something when he heard a system notification.
[Ding! Obtained Belial's Conquest Treasure Chest! Open it now?]
He actually got a Conquest Treasure Chest? Well, that's okay then!
What kind of items a treasure chest can yield usually depends on who it dropped from. The stronger the person, the better the items in the chest.
Roy had already witnessed Elizabeth's power. She had just casually lent him some strength, and it had increased all his physical attributes by 20.
With such terrifying power, Roy was already starting to look forward to what Belial's Conquest Treasure Chest might yield.
"Teacher Elizabeth, could you get me some clothes too?" Roy asked after struggling to stand up.
"No problem." Elizabeth snapped her fingers, and a set of clothes appeared in front of Roy, exactly the same as the ones he had been wearing before.
While Roy was getting dressed, Elizabeth scanned his body with undisguised eyes, and kept licking her lips, as if savoring something.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk!"
"Have you looked enough?"
"If we weren't pressed for time, I'd want to watch a little longer."
Hearing this, Roy was a little surprised.
"What time pressure?"
"What do you think I created this film to isolate this town for? Of course, it's to prevent some people from noticing the commotion here. The time is almost up, and we have to leave here as soon as possible, otherwise there will be even bigger trouble!"
If Elizabeth considered it even bigger trouble, then it definitely wasn't something Roy could handle.
"Will this affect us?" Roy was referring to himself, Jennifer, and Niddy. As for the other classmates, he couldn't care less.
"Originally, it had nothing to do with you, but after what we just did, I found that some of my power was absorbed by you. This caused your body to be tainted with my aura, and you will also be considered an enemy by them."
Elizabeth was clearly from hell. Forgive Roy for not knowing much about the Bible, so he didn't know who Belial was. It also wasn't very convenient to look up information online in this era.
So, the "them" Elizabeth was talking about was obviously from the side of heaven.
This is troublesome!
"Can this problem be solved?"
"Since your performance just now satisfied me, I can help you once. Come here."
Roy walked over to Elizabeth, and she placed her palm on his chest.
Roy felt a strong burning sensation in his chest, as if he had been branded with a hot iron.
Enduring the burning pain, Roy's neck flushed red.
After a while, Elizabeth withdrew her hand, and Roy saw a circular mark on his chest, like some kind of magic circle brand.
[Obtained special ability, Belial's Brand!]
He got another new ability? And the Conquest Treasure Chest hasn't even been opened yet!
"This brand can help you hide your aura, but you'd still better stay away from churches, otherwise you might still be discovered."
Roy first looked at the effects of this Belial's Brand.
[Belial's Brand: The brand of one of the Seven Princes of Hell, the Demon Lord of Sloth, capable of concealing the hellish aura on you. At the same time, it also creates a certain connection between you and Belial.]
Hiss, judging by this, did Elizabeth leave a backdoor in this brand?
Roy looked up at Elizabeth.
"Teacher Elizabeth, you wouldn't have added something else to this brand, would you?"
Elizabeth, having been exposed on the spot, wasn't embarrassed in the slightest.
"Yep, I added a little something so I can sense your location at any time. Wouldn't you want to take extra lessons from Teacher Elizabeth?"
Is this "extra lesson" of yours a serious one?
Now that he knew Elizabeth's true identity through the system, Roy naturally wouldn't be foolish enough to take everything she said at face value.
A demon, and a Demon Lord-level demon at that! How could she possibly be so kind-hearted?
Roy started to think about how he could block the connection with Belial within the brand.
"Alright, things are pretty much done. We should get out of this damned place. Damn it, we have to come up with another story to deal with the school and the police! I hate trouble the most!"
Elizabeth looked annoyed, clearly she really hated making up stories.
"Making up a story? I have an idea!" Roy took out the main story of the movie "House of Wax," adapted it slightly, and it was ready to use.
After listening to Roy's story, Elizabeth's eyes lit up, and she couldn't help but hug Roy and kiss him passionately on the lips.
"Ah! Little Roy, you're such a smart and good boy, Mwah! Mwah! Mwah!"
Then, Elizabeth implanted this story into everyone's minds, so that when they woke up, they would take it as the truth.
However, when implanting the memory into Jennifer, Elizabeth noticed some problems.
"Huh, Little Roy, your little girlfriend Jennifer seems to have some problems!"
Roy of course knew Jennifer had problems; he had seen the special bloodline of the Miles family before.
"I know! I'll handle this myself, you don't need to worry about it! And could you please stop calling me Little Roy? I'm not little at all!"
Well, some things are still worth arguing about.
"Alright, alright, alright! Little Roy, since you put it that way, I won't interfere. Go get them all into the car."
Then, Elizabeth started ordering people around. This woman truly lived up to her title as the King of Sloth, not wanting to do even the slightest extra thing, directing Roy the entire time.
The driver and the other students soon opened their eyes, a memory surfacing in their minds.
"It's already so late, we have to hurry to Waterfall Town!"
Finally out.
