Chapter 39: Vacation Plan
🕑 Added 2025-05-01 05:03:02 +0000 UTCAfter finishing lunch, Roy retreated to his room, eager to check out the loot from the wax museum incident.
Although the wax museum incident came with a price, it was also very rewarding, and Roy was quite excited about it.
Before opening the boxes though, Roy first wanted to see what the upgraded special ability "Demon Possession" becoming "Son of the Devil" was all about.
【Son of the Devil: The blood of a demon flows within your body. You can transform into a true demon as long as certain conditions are met!
Passive Effect: Slightly increased resistance to attacks, reduced flinch time, and the ability to collect the fear of living beings.
Active Effect: Consumes collected fear to greatly increase physical attributes. When the collected fear reaches a certain amount, activating the active effect allows you to use some demonic abilities.】
The description of the ability had changed, and the passive effect had also improved, going from a "slight increase" to a "small increase," which was still a step up.
The biggest change was the active effect, and Roy was curious to see what kind of demonic abilities he could use once the fear value reached the required level.
Roy's current fear value had already reached the threshold, but remembering Elizabeth's previous warning, he didn't dare try out the new abilities yet.
Better open the boxes first!
"System, open Vincent Sinclair's Fate Treasure Chest!"
【Opening Vincent Sinclair's Fate Treasure Chest...】
【Gained 1 point of Strength!】
【Gained 1 point of Constitution!】
【Obtained the Sinclair Brothers' Dagger!】
Hmm, only two attribute points. Roy had already expected this.
After all, Vincent was incredibly weak, and Roy had been beating him up the entire time.
Fortunately, Vincent's Fate Treasure Chest dropped an item, so it wasn't a total loss.
【Sinclair Brothers' Dagger: Mr. Sinclair's wife, Dottie, possessed wax figure techniques passed down through her family. After her death, the wax figure techniques were inherited by the Sinclair brothers, including this peculiar pair of daggers.
They can secrete a white waxy liquid that cools quickly after leaving the daggers.】
Roy took out the Sinclair Brothers' Dagger from his inventory. It was the same dagger Vincent had been holding.
The pair in his hand must be a copy created by the system. The original should have been buried with Vincent in the wax museum.
The daggers were pure white, and the handles were adorned with special carvings.
Roy held the Sinclair Brothers' Dagger and swiped it across a piece of paper, instantly leaving a large puddle of white wax.
At the same time, when Roy put the dagger away, the white wax quickly solidified, becoming very hard.
Huh, this pair of daggers seems to have some functionality.
"System, next, open Bo Sinclair's Fate Treasure Chest!"
【Opening Bo Sinclair's Fate Treasure Chest...】
【Gained 2 points of Spirit!】
【Gained 2 points of Willpower!】
This time his luck wasn't so great, only getting two spirit-related attributes. Better than nothing, I guess.
"System, open Belial's Conquest Treasure Chest!"
【Opening Belial's Conquest Treasure Chest...】
【Gained 5 points of Strength!】
【Gained 5 points of Agility!】
【Gained 5 points of Constitution!】
【Gained 5 points of Memory!】
【Gained 5 points of Spirit!】
【Gained 5 points of Willpower!】
【Obtained the special ability Key of Solomon!】
Wow, Roy knew he could get good stuff from Belial's Conquest Treasure Chest, but he didn't expect it to directly add 5 points to all his attributes.
And there's a special ability too! Seven items in total!
This completely pushed Roy's physical abilities into the superhuman realm, making him like a superbeing.
【Key of Solomon: Two thousand years ago, Belial, the King of Sloth, signed a contract with King Solomon, imparting vast demonic knowledge and allowing him to summon and control seventy-two demon gods. The price was Solomon's soul belonging to Belial after his death. King Solomon recorded the knowledge taught by Belial in books, and now this knowledge belongs to you, without any cost!
Passive Ability: Gain knowledge from Hell.
Active Ability: Can summon and enslave demons through special rituals.】
A flood of knowledge about hell and black magic poured into Roy's brain, momentarily bringing back the feeling he had when he first transmigrated.
He felt dizzy, like the whole ceiling was spinning.
After a while, Roy came back to his senses, the extra knowledge in his brain giving him a bit of a headache.
This knowledge involved a vast amount of demonic lore, summoning rituals, and ancient black magic, so it was quite useful.
Having this knowledge meant that Roy was no longer just a brute relying on physical attacks, but a demon warlock who had mastered black magic.
You might ask why a warlock would have such strong physical attributes?
A certain wizard named Gandalf, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that a true wizard charges into battle with melee weapons, facing enemies head-on.
As for witchcraft, just casting the "light" spell is enough.
All the treasure chests were opened, and Roy's attribute panel had undergone a massive change.

Tsk tsk tsk, these stats are so high they could scare someone to death.
After looking at his attributes, Roy called Niddy's house.
"Niddy, do you want to go on vacation with me for Christmas?"
"Just the three of us?"
"Did you want to bring someone else?"
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone before she spoke.
"I need to ask my parents."
Niddy was a typical good girl, and she had to ask her parents before making decisions about many things.
That's why this girl still hadn't gotten intimate with Roy, and it looked like she wouldn't even get "third blood" now.
Jennifer, Heather, and Elizabeth were all ahead of Niddy.
She might even fall behind Carly.
Hmm, Carly had sent Roy a bunch of harassing messages this morning, but he was asleep and hadn't replied.
Niddy: I will definitely win!
After a while, Niddy came back and continued talking.
"Roy, I'm so sorry! Our family also has vacation plans, so I probably won't be able to go."
Not all parents were like Roy's parents. Clearly, Niddy's parents valued family time more.
"Okay, what about Jennifer?"
"Jennifer is already considered part of our family, so she's going on vacation with us too."
"Would you mind telling me about your family's vacation plans?"
"My dad said he wants to take us skiing in Aspen, Colorado!"
That plan sounds pretty good.
"Would you be willing to run into me in Aspen by chance?"
