i have only ever done a half tab and it was really intense (but great), probably a good way to start

well it is a very potent substance. do it with someone you trust who has done it before. and ideally a sober person close at hand as well. a half or quarter tab is probably a sensible first dose for most people. i'm 5'10" and for me two tabs gives me a wonderful spiritual experience that i only want to have every five years or so. commit to a dose at the beginning. don't take just a little and think "oh this isn't that intense," and take more. the feeling of coming up on acid while high on acid is extremely scary and will make you cry and puke. it's not like having two glasses of wine, it's more of a compounding effect. which is why on a high enough dose, you may cry and puke regardless... but it can be incredibly cathartic. it kind of feels like test-running your own death. i like it better than mushrooms. well that's all i know
