Great ep but thought for sure you’d touch on Ren Faire. Guessing it’s already on the radar but it’s a fantastic doc series full of Bruenig themes: trad larping, business management frought with psycho sexual libertarianism, syncretic capitalist Christianity, and big Texas energy. Big rec for Brue-heads and a great topic for a future ep if Matt and Liz wanna dive in.

really enjoy any episode where matt talks about hiking. it's very possible that i mentioned this a year or more back when he talked about another jaunt, but kim stanley robinson's memoir 'the high sierra' is the best book i know of about walking in mountains, probably my favorite book written in the last half decade, and if he hasn't i very very enthusiastically encourage matt to check it out
