yeah i think quitting twitter is a big part of it. i don't care what people say about me anymore; i'm not around to see it, and i'm not looking for it. i used to be very ashamed of being bipolar and having been bulimic, but the older i've gotten the more i've come to believe that everyone has their problems. i'm not proud of my problems but it is what it is.

Liz, the “humanoid aliens made in the image of God” thing reminded me: there’s an episode of Star Trek TNG where they discover an ancient humanoid alien race seeded the galaxy long ago with life descended from itself, which is what all the races in the show turn out to have been the whole time. Of course the reason all the aliens are humanoid is because of makeup and special effects limitations, but I always loved that they wrote in an in-universe reason.

Oh, I missed the questions section before episode record. I wanted to ask what happened to Liz to make her so much more open about everything lately. Because I love this change. She's talked about her weed use, after saying she didn't talk about that stuff. She's opening up in great detail about her views on Catholicism, when she used to be more tight lipped. She is now talking about bulimia and bipolar disorder. Since Liz is one of my favorite people on Earth, I love getting to know more about her, but I just wonder induced the change, and was it just getting out of the cesspool of Twitter where she was attacked daily, and thus feeling more safe to share?

Not Liz's fault, but I went ahead and listened to the episode of Left, Right and Center she was just on. That was painful. The "right" person has zero compassion for the innocent victims of US bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan and no problem with eliminating Hamas by eliminating the people of Gaza, but then ends with a rant on how she cannot stand to kill anything and brings ants found in her house outside and sets them free. For whatever reason, the contrast in her attitudes really nauseated me. So sick.

hard agree on “bring your own toiletries to the hospital.” also noise canceling headphones so you can zone out in labor if it’s going slow—so many fucking bleeps and blorps in there. also nice to have your own nightgown/robe etc so you don’t have to wear the terrible open ass hospital gown. not packing related but if you’re not being induced etc do NOT go to the hospital before your contractions are super regular and pretty strong—it can stall your labor if you go too soon and it just sucks to be there if you don’t have to. my first was an induction and it was so annoying to be there for like 12 hours before giving birth. with my second time from arrival to delivery was like less than three hours and it was so much more pleasant.
