Giving Nyotengu What She Wants (Exclusive)
🕑 Added 2022-01-12 15:57:01 +0000 UTC"Ryu waking up to Nyotengu giving him a TJ in the middle of a rune circle ISN'T the weirdest thing that has happened to him, but it certainly lists among the sexiest and craziest. Hopefully he can give her what she wants."
Thanks and credit to Onagi for their great animation and sound work, as well as Bordeaux Black on voice!
A surprise project and a long project back to back (that started over vacation) was a bit of a chore, and I'm JUST now starting to feel like work is getting back to normal! Vacation was still fantastic, so that's quite okay. With each vacation I take running Dark Dreams I'm getting better and better about not feeling guilty for taking time off. It's actually helping me to enjoy my work more!
AND while I enjoyed working on this project, it was painfully clear that the difference between our SFM works and Blender works is apparent. I believe SFM can compete with Blender in terms of production quality for non-VR videos if you know what you're doing and make use of everything SFM has to offer, but VR requires so much extra work just to get to a point that's close in quality. Even then you can still tell which one is SFM every time, just by the stitching alone.
That's not to say I regret starting in SFM or that I am permanently done with SFM. I'll just be hard pressed to do more SFM works knowing that I can make something so much nicer looking in Blender. Sure, the render times are longer, but Dark Dreams is no longer about quantity. It's about quality.
To make up for that lack of quantity due to render times, I'm working on trading for a second Blender computer to use for rendering. If it doesn't increase the amount of animations we release on a weekly basis, it will at the very least ensure I can do longer videos more often while still completing 2 videos a week. 2 guaranteed a week without having to turn down longer videos would be awesome.
That's all I have for today.
Enjoy!
