First one is Alexis and S1m's character Luke, whomst he should draw more ;)
The rabbit & van drawing was a commissioned illustration for a fanfic that's since been deleted, but it was really fun to build up a large outdoor scene with a vehicle, something I don't usually get a chance to do.
Number 4's a piece I took down from main platforms for reasons I won't go int, but I figured it was worth posting here for posterity. I think it's a good piece!
An interesting contrast between the painted-up nighttime piece with Korichi (the white fox) and the "laundry" sketch at the end. The painted-up piece was one I worked really hard on, was really proud of artistically, and kind of flopped in terms of social media metrics. The laundry sketch, on the other hand, I scribbled out pretty quickly and posted without thinking much about it. I think at the time it became my most successful drawing ever.
I don't stress too much about Twitter numbers because it's not real important and I'm a GROWN ASS MAN but I am pretty intrigued by what types of art people do and don't connect with, and I've definitely spent time doing post-mortems on drawings and trying to figure out why they might or might not have been successful.
Generally my takeaway is that character dynamics are king. If there's something between multiple characters that provokes an immediate emotional response in the viewer, whether it's laughter or sadness or "god I wish that were me," it's way more likely to do numbers.
So it's nice to know what types of images are effective. At the end of the day, though, I try to draw what makes me feel good, rather than what I think other people want. If a drawing ticks BOTH boxes, all the better, right?

I'm so glad you shared all of these with us. I absolutely love 'em. Characters engaging with each other - sure - yes. But more so, I think it's just the images where we can glean the most about these characters and their world. That stuff feeds me as a fan. Though, trying to guess twitter is beyond me.

Allergies makes me laugh, Mava is fun and hot at once, and FoxBoy is just so beautifully atmospheric with the fae-lights around the bed. It looks like they're genuinely having an enviably fantastic time and it's absolutely gorgeous. I connect with your casual stuff because that's a whole mood-kink, but I definitely appreciate that genuine passion that comes across in pieces like that, it's evocative.
