I’m late to the party lol but I read LOTM and I enjoyed it even with the dogshit translation. I tried the adaptation and it was ass. People keep saying that it’s supposed to like that are lying. The start of the novel was slow and drawn out to help you get used to the world and the characters. It’s not as confusing as the adaptation. In the novel, you were able to identify with the main character and understanding his motivations and the adaptation failed at that. Also, if you’ve never read or watched xianxia or any cultivation series, it’s easier to get lost. Honestly, the novels are extremely popular in China and people would’ve watched regardless which is why they were able to get away with this shit.

Switch to english dub is not bad at all & you will follow the pacing a lot better . Up to ya tho ..

Could you guys perhaps swap to the English dub for Lord of Mysteries when it's caught up with the Chinese sub (in roughly 3 weeks) A lot of people commented on how they were able to follow along with episodes 1 and 2 of the English dub a lot better than they were in Chinese with no real need to pause at all

Oh damn, I just watched the latest episode of Lord of Mysteries, and it felt like I missed like 2 or 3 episodes. It makes no sense that they would skip forward with no explanation like that.

Just read Lupa messeges on Twitter , man im so sad the reason you guys refuse to pause and read is because and I quote “ editing must be crazy we would rather not “ after being asked about why you don’t pause . Man , forget the anime forget that doesn’t matter . This is crazy you make at minimum 70k plus a month on just Patreon , you can’t afford to take the time are you kidding me . Damn. Been subbed for nearly 2 years . How sad .

Honestly, the only thing that’s ruining the anime for me is the subtitles. Chinese anime are just cursed with bad subtitles for some reason. (At least not from official sources…)

Can people chill out when it comes to reactors dropping a show that they love like it's never that serious man and who knows if the pacing gets better they might come back to watch it. At this point the LOTM fan base is finna put me off of even buying the books. Like it ain't never that serious to be so disrespectful and childish to anyone who drops a show and then immediately talk mess about them like come on man is just disappointing to see.
