Reviewing the rig
🕑 Added 2020-11-24 13:24:21 +0000 UTCWhile I'm still resting up and figuring out what I want to work on for the next month or so, one of the easier things I can get out of the way is a review of Daisy's rig. My biggest concern is whether the rig can do what I want or need it to do, and if if can't, what will it take to get it there?
The teaser animation I'd planned was pretty simple - Daisy would lean into view, smile and wave, then slap a "coming soon" sticker onto the screen. Originally I'd intended to frame it so her breasts would never be fully in view - you'd see enough to know they're there, and that'd be it. But with how Daisy's built, the camera would need to be fairly close-up.
Now, the idea is that when she leans in, she'll be covering her breasts with one arm, which... will make the animation quite a bit more challenging.
Anyway, the review - At first glance, most of the controls I'd need for the teaser animation are already in place. The main exceptions are the "shaper" bones that allow her breasts to be reshaped - the bones are there, but they don't yet have any controls. I can still manipulate them directly, but this highlighted another problem - many of them can be difficult to locate. To get around that, I'll need to create a "picker" UI, a window with buttons corresponding to each control.
Another potential issue with the shapers, may not be something I can solve in the rig itself - they can only shape the breast in a broad sense. They don't have fine enough control to shape the mesh around her fingers like a marshmallow, for example. To get that level of control, I'd either need another layer that allows me to animate every point individually, or, once she's animated, I could employ shot-sculpting. My only concern with shot-sculpting, is I'm not sure that those changes can be exported to Blender for rendering...
Short version - she squishy, but could be squishier!

Illustrator files are listed plainly on the top tier's description. 3D files aren't promised anywhere. Any time it's come up - even years before I'd made my Patreon - I've said I would never release her model. In every sense, I've got too much invested in it to just give it away.

Lol, the whole point of me joining was to get daisy's model and rig. So I can make movies with her myself. Ya dig? π€¨ π πππ βπ‘ππ€΄πΏππ‘β

The top tier gets Adobe Illustrator files for finished pinups & comics, in months where I'm actively drawing and not on hiatus. Daisy's model/rig won't be released.

So what do we get with this highest tier? I hope that rig and model is for me. Yours truly! π π πππ βπ‘ππ€΄πΏππ‘β
