Cassie
🕑 Added 2019-06-12 23:07:51 +0000 UTCThis week I'm finally working on something that's been on my list for a while - a 3D model of Theycallhimcake's Cassie. I started her in part because I needed a refresher in Zbrush. Now that I'm somewhat refreshed, I've decided I'm better off doing this block pass in Maya, instead. Once the blocking is done, I can take it back into Zbrush for the next step.
Also yes, her boobs have already been modeled, they're just hidden because they cover up her entire torso.

They tell you not to touch things for a reason!

It's kinda vague. I think Cake said a while back it involved an accident with a magic guillotine at a museum, but beyond that she doesn't have an official origin that I'm aware of.

The character. I know your 3D work is a mix of talent and skill.
Jared Lindquist
like, as a character quirk, or how it'll work in 3D?
Brian Christy Burke
Any explanation as to how that works?

I always find it sort of interesting how techniques from different types of art can be taken to other mediums, looking at this reminds me a lot of when i did pottery in highschool. I imagine a lot of techniques from that field would go into 3D modelling pretty well.

I'm still fairly new to this technique, but so far I'm liking it

yup!

Neat! Is that the girl with the disconnected head?

Oh wow, i've never seen this stage of 3D modelling before, it makes a lot of sense why you'd do things this way.
