Character concepts
🕑 Added 2018-08-13 13:31:45 +0000 UTC A couple of concept-scribbles for new characters, from a few days ago. It's been suggested that I give Daisy some friends she can hang out with outside of work... no idea if either of these will work, but they made for a good warm-up!On a different note, this 2D-puppet contract has been testing my patience, to put it lightly. First, the "light feedback" I was expecting was hardly light. As much as I dislike Spine, having to go back in for some major edits was not something I was looking forward to. Worse - getting half of it out of the way, then having the program screw things up in a way that meant I'd probably have to start over (the feedback, not the whole thing).
I was ready to quit. Spine is simply NOT ready for production. It's incomplete, lacking essential features, and I did not want to spend one more second using it. And while waiting to talk to my boss to explain what had happened, I discovered something that Spine actually does right - saving a backups of your files whenever you hit the save button. Crisis averted! Spine still sucks, though.
That little rage episode was just two days after I'd drawn Rouge. After drawing her, I was feeling good - happy, even - and wanted to draw more... and then work pulled me back into the pit. Needless to say, I'm eyeing the calendar, waiting for my vacation next month... for at least the past few weeks, I've been exhausted nearly all the time.

Sleepy Dave
a bookworm-ish barista type and a "jogs a 5k every morning instead of drinking coffee like any rational human eing" type. I like it :)
Brian Christy Burke
I like the looks of them so far. I'd give the vig gal a shorter haircut, and the other girl looks like she'd have the nickname 'Moth'. Possibly very nocturnal.
