Nah most people just say sir to be polite most of the time I personally get called "Miss" all the time while I'm at work

Also, we use "Miss" for girls and "ma'am" for adult woman, but you might call an older woman "miss" to flatter her (implies that she looks young, this can backfire however). English is hard to learn so you are doing a great job! This comic is very accurate 😂
English is weird. Sir can be used as a respectful title for a man with seniority (like your boss) or is a polite way to address any adult male who is a stranger to you.
