Well, that sucks.

Unfortunately, the third book cover (The Onyx Throne is a planned trilogy) was never completed, and he had just agreed to do some artwork for the Patreon and for ads I wanted to run on Royal Road. So now, I have to find a artist and have the first two covers redone, and the third, so that they match. On top of that, the first cartographer I contacted about doing a map said it would cost almost $700USD. Needless to say, that's not an option.
As the wise man once said, "Fuck."

Good luck, it looks like you have already had your share of bad luck.

Likely it would be the same cost, anyway. Better to just start from scratch. Got a couple of guys with very different styles but either of which would work for the style of cover I want. Just really sucks that I have to do that again. I wish the original artist no ill will, I hope he's okay, but this is going to hit the ol' pocketbook hard. The only other option is that I figure out how to use the AI image software and photoshop to clean it up and, frankly, I don't have time for that.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I don't know anything about covers but liked the first one. Is is possible to get another artist to do the third cover in the style of the first two so they can be salvaged?
