She had only just completed her training and was unprepared for the coup that killed the monarch of Awenor and the Onyx Knights, a military order that has protected Awenor and the monarchs for nearly a thousand years. Despite that, she was charged with finding a new monarch and saving the kingdom from a tyrant that seeks to destroy the heart of her land. Alone and hunted, everything she's ever known and loved destroyed, she must travel to a new world to find the person who can reclaim the Onyx Throne, drive out the usurper, and save the last known elemental on Tewadunn.
She must find the new monarch and teach him or her what they need to learn to survive in the new world and save her people. Will she succeed?
