Agrss Progress Update
🕑 Added 2023-10-03 18:07:48 +0000 UTCHey guys. I know I've been really slow and kept on changing my mind, but I've actually settled on how I want to do agrss now.
I still need to finalize everything by actually putting in paper what I have in mind , but I didn't want to be inactive for too long so I'm showing this now.
I know most people just want to see me update the game asap, but I'm sorry for I'm doubling down and putting more work by doing more animated scenes.
This would mean the project would take longer to finish, but I want to make something I can be really happy about when it's all done.
How I've been feeling:
I feel like I've just been repeating myself now, but I'm painfully aware how inactive I've been. This is honestly because I've just been unsure on what I want to do exactly with art.
I've grown tired of what I've been doing since I started Kamuo.
You could say it's burnout.
To move forward, I need to make something fresh that I'll actually feel motivated to do.
And figuring out what exactly is that new thing has been hard for me as I've always thrived with keeping habits.
Even with lewds in general, I feel like I'm less enthusiastic about it now.
I won't actually stop doing lewd content, but I need to put a new spin on it.
With agrss specifically, I want to get into doing action shots as I never really get the opportunity to do them with lewds.
Agrss would still be mostly about lewds tho, just with a few action scenes like this.
I don't want to post too much sketches like this to not spoil everything, but I just want to assure people the project isn't dead.
It would still be a while before I can post the first remake build, as there's always more work to do at the start. Like the ui and just how everything feels.
So thank you for being patient.
Also small note on crimr.
I said before I'd be taking a break from it to focus on agrss, then the whole unity debacle happened.
We're currently planning to rebuild the game in a different engine, so that would also take some time.

Glad to hear you have found a solid direction to move in! I've always liked experiences that have a good mix of action to lewd content. Gotta feel like you've earned those headpat scenes after all! All that said, take your time and make something you'll be proud to share, we'll be here supporting you all the way! <3

That is actually.. amazing news! I always thought you could do more with agrss, i am legitimately curious about the world. I mean like, after seeing badass Vel, who doesnt want to see a reaper ripping apart some prey? And if you would want to pair that with an extended story, sure thing sign my ass up! There is nothing like a decent game with some high quality lewds. Im also happy to hear that you have largely dealt with your motivation problems as it seems, and love the new route you chose. And about inactivity, i personally would like to hear more about your thoughts on your projects, let us know what you consider. Food for the fans and activity for the unengaged so they dont feel rugpulled or sth. Just.. be very clear about what you mean when you do, as you probably know very well, misinterpretation is a real problem on the net. Best wishes and have fun working on this!

Personally, this is way cooler. Making a legit story with cool action scenes that happen to have smut -- think Mushoku Tensei even though it doesn't go full 18+ -- is always way better than just making a standard porn game. Your animations already make you unique, but putting your time and effort into a project like this, while it may take you years, is something you'll always be able to look back on and go "fuck yeah, I made that.". So, take your time. I'd much rather play a badass VN(?) with slick animated action scenes and a good story than just a hallway simulator with smut at the end.

I can completely see where your coming from, when derpixion released one of their latest animations it started out with action and a story before it when on to become an actual, hentai despite that its one of their most popular works. I love your story so far to death so im truly excited to see how everything will pan out, adding a bit of action to the mix sounds right for the story we are in and i think it will bring us and you one step closer to feeling a true connection with the soon to be masterpiece, Art truly takes time and the more time the better.

During the creative process, there are times when the same content keeps repeating continuously. It's manageable in the short term, but over time, the original enthusiasm and creative inspiration will gradually be extinguished. Without proper rest at the right moment, it might lead to a complete breakdown, causing one to give up on continuing the creative process... I want to suggest that perhaps you could take a proper break, adjust your state, and then continue with your work. After all... now that there's a 'development engine' making the same mistakes as it did four years ago, it's time to look for another development engine... and adapting to a different engine takes time, so I'll patiently wait. Please hang in there.

Of course you should do whatever makes you happy. Personally, I don't need to see results asap; I just want to see steady progress. I can't speak to your supporters specifically, but in my experience as a community manager, that is generally what most people are looking for. One thing is for sure, we all believe in you and want to see you succeed!

I think that scenes like this could make agrss stand out as being a cut above the rest. I do hope we see something tangible at some point though. I for one am here because I recognize your talent and see the potential in your vision, but there needs to be a finished product somewhere on the horizon.
