Plans for Agrss
🕑 Added 2023-04-21 22:22:44 +0000 UTCI know I've been unclear about my plans for Agrss and even now I'm gonna be taking back things I said, but I this time I'm actually gonna commit to my decision.
Long explanation but this put things in context.

Explanation
When people take breaks, they usually come back fully motivated to work again, right?
For me, I didn't feel any different. In fact, at the last days of my break I just didn't feel any motivation to do anything, not even play games or whatnot.
Which is actually what I suspected would happen hence I've always refrained from taking long breaks. I mainly did so now to confirm that suspicion.
I think what that shows is I don't really have a strong burning desire to draw. Like when an artist gets inspired by an idea, they get a lot of motivation to dedicate all their time to make it a reality.
I'm not saying I'm not passionate about what I create though. My passion/motivation is just on a flat level rather than fluctuating whenever an artist gets inspired.
Honestly, I should have known that about myself.
It's obvious I've slowed down with the amount of work I've made for a pretty long time now. The best way I can explain that is I tried exploring my artistic side more, but ultimately found nothing. I didn't actually need to change anything.
What I mean about finding nothing is I don't actually have a specific thing I want to do. I'm equally passionate about fan lewds or original works. You could also say I just want to do them all.
This also means I'm equally dispassionate about any work I do. I don't think I'll have the capacity to just enslave myself to one project until it's fully complete, I would rather have multiple projects I can bounce around whenever I get tired of a specific one.
This does mean my progress would be slower compared to just focusing on one, but this is what I gotta do to keep myself content.
Plans
What this means for Agrss is I think there's been a bit of confusion on my side. Like I said, I want to do them all. I want to do different things, but that doesn't mean that different thing should be applied to Agrss.
The issue is that Agrss is a big undertaking that I felt stuck with it. It would have been smarter to take a full break from Agrss to work on other things until I felt satisfied and wanted to work on it again.
Which is practically still what happened as I've been mostly focusing on Crimr.
Maybe I just needed a break from Kamuo entirely too. Since even doing lewds in general, I felt tired of it. But I've been slowly getting back my feel for it this month so you don't have to worry about that.
I'm taking back my decision to add more gameplay in Agrss. It actually doesn't make sense as the best thing for me now is to just finish it asap.
I still want to remake visuals that I'm not happy with though.
Since I also don't want to keep you guys waiting for even longer, I would be resuming where I left off and work on the lewds for Pari and Deca. Once those 2 are done, I would go back to fully remake visuals before continuing to fully finish the project.
I would also still be working on renpy for now for a quicker turnaround, but I still want to redo the game in a better game engine in the future when polishing it.
Of course I would still be working on Crimr simultaneously too, so you can look forward to more updates for that.

Well friend, at the end when you finish your Agrss project as a good follower, even if it is not close, the work you do for all of us will be received with affection (with the tremendous quality that you put in your work, it is worth the wait xD) and then you I wish good luck from here on out. :)

In my case, I feel like I already figured out most of myself, but that gets boring so I felt the need to search even more. As I mentioned tho, I ultimately found nothing.

You’ve hit a wall in life and it’s boxed you into staying at the same point rather than finding a way forward or around and honestly I can relate to that. I’m trying to figure out what direction I want to go in life with moving and employment and such but I don’t exactly know what I want to do or how to do the things I think of. I want to change but I feel unmotivated to do so. I’m going to try to force the change in myself soon and maybe look for therapy after I end up wherever I’m going. I hope you find something new to inspire you and best of luck out there

If you're stuck on a project and it's frustrating, skip it. Create games in the direction of your inspiration After all some game creators give up because the project is in trouble... There are many reasons, it is a pity that the expected game cannot be completed because of complete abandonment No need to be locked into a project After all, this is free creation. If the project gets stuck, explain and plan for future development As far as I am concerned, I am looking forward to the follow-up works and follow-up plans

I'm a bit sad to hear you're backing off from the gameplay changes, I was interested to see what you had in store, but if you don't feel it, there's no need to push yourself. Heck, if anything you can apply more gameplay changes to whatever your next project is! For me, I just wanna know what you do with your characters and what stories you have in store for them, regardless of lewds or whatnot, so I'm here to see that, and whatever projects you have in the future :)
