I bought my 300l right after you got yours. All the shortcomings of the bike are real, however I’ll never sell it because it’s so much fun and was cheap enough to leave in the garage if I want something else.

Ok, here is what I think you should do, build the DRZ that Suzuki refuses to, and give it bold new graphics while your at it... Get a stock DRZ that's a little beat up and used. Clean it up fix anything that is wrong with it. Get the Big Bore kit, and rebuild the clutch with wide ratio transmission gears for more top speed. Then do all the things you would do to a bike, supermoto trim, adventure trim ect... It could be the poor mans do everything bike with some work. I would love this series if you did it.

Sounds like we are at similar points with our bikes. I just can’t get the adventure bike features I want out of my drz either. It definitely can do highway speeds but around the Denver area I-25 feels dangerous with the lack of power at those speeds.

If I had to pick a bike to do all four I think I would choose the ktm 500 exc or the gas gas es 500

Sounds like you need an xr650l, the only thumper that has gained weight

Pretty sure ABSOLUTELY NO ONE has Modified the crap out of a CFMoto IBEX 450 - What could you turn THAT bike into? I wonder if you would lose or gain subs by doing that?

My 300 at this point is basically a heavy dirtbike that I can ride trail to trail in colorado. I live in the northeastern part and yeah taking that bike on i76 is a death wish
