SYS: Update #19
🕑 Added 2021-11-06 18:59:33 +0000 UTC
Hello everyone!
The newest patch for SYS has been completed and is now out, ready for download. All Bernadette Patrons can download this new content from here:
For this patch I wanted to do a few balance changes and fixes while also adding some new cards to play with. First up we have 2 new Event Cards:
I've noticed that some players liked to stock up on as much Food Cards as possible which would mean it would be almost impossible to K.O. them. This certainly is a good strategy, however, with this new event card stocking up on all that food might be for nothing, for Freddy is HUNGRY. ;D
Next up is a buff card:
Pretty simple, this event will give you a card you can use in a battle to buff your attack by one. Do note that the effect will be removed once the battle is over, so be sure to pick a good time to use this!
Up next we have 2 new Maps! The first one is called "Attic Renovation", a 2 Player map.
No Bus Stops and no Vacation tiles, the key here is to establish as much estates as possible in the lower street of the map. The upper middle part with both Bonus and Minus Zentra tiles can either be a blessing or a curse, so watch out!
The next one is called "Sugar Addicts" and is a 5 Player map.
This one is a rather small map considering the player count and there is only limited spaces to build stuff, so conflict is pretty much inevitable. You might want to go around the map more often than usual once you reached your home if there's still some buyable empty lots left!
It's been a while but this update also introduces a new buildable estate for everyone, the Shady Warehouse!
Seeing as I'm still on my quest for making Trap Cards more prevalent, I came up with this new building here. It can be built for the purpose of generating some money, but the real reason is this building's special ability: It will grant you or anyone in your team a Trap Card when you pass its tile! Also worth noting is that it won't be affected negatively (or positvely) by landvalue modifiers, so you can build as many dirty factories or brothels next to it as you want! Anyway, on to the card it will give you for free ...
Out of all the Trap Cards in the game, this one is the weakest. However, you and every teammate will get it for free and the quantity of these nails will make them pretty damaging overall for anyone stepping on them! Be sure to find a mean spot to lay them down and the opponents will have a good time!
That's all for this update! For a complete overview of everything this patch does please refer to the changelog down below.
- Added "Attic Renovation" as a new 2 Player Map.
- Added "Sugar Addicts" as a new 5 Player Map.
- Added "Night of the Freddy" to the Event Card pool.
- Added "Power-UP!" to the Event Card pool and as a useable card.
- Added "Nails" as a new useable card.
- Added "Shady Warehouse" as a new buildable estate.
- Modified Apartments, they now generate more money.
- Modified Police Checkpoints, they now also confiscate Trap Cards.
- Modified Heliports, AI Players should now only build them when they want to use them.
- Fixed a bug in which somtimes the text that tells a player how much debt they have would appear too far up in the info box.
- Fixed a bug in which the Chibis in the Main Menu would fly with super high speeds across the screen. Since the start of the development of the game, this weird bug has never happened before and I've only seen it once. XD
I hope you'll have fun with the game!
Please stay tuned for further updates in the future! ('ᴗ')
Regards,
Snooley
