SYS: Update #18
🕑 Added 2021-10-23 14:33:42 +0000 UTC
Hello everyone!
The newest patch for SYS has been completed and is now out, ready for download. All Patrons can download this new content from here:
As mentioned before, this is the last update before the next public release which will be next week, so all MC Patrons will also have access to this patch!
We're a week away from Halloween, so I thought that for the Spooky Timez we would need some appropriately themed maps, too! So this update brings 3 new maps to the game, each of them for a different amount of players. All of them take place in a spooky forest near a mansion on a hill. >:3
We have:
A 2 Player Map, named "Dark Hill"
A 4 Player Map, named "Spooky Party"
And a 6 Player Map, named "Spooky Party XL"
These maps should be able to go hand in hand nicely with Halloween and the Dark Essence expansion pack!
Demon Tienne pondering her next move! (〃￣ω￣〃)
Talking about Dark Essence, there have now been two extra options added into the Game Setup Menu which will allow you to configure some stuff about the newest expansion. You will be able to find them in the "Rules" section.
These two options are the following:
LONDYN'S HOUSE: Allows you to enable or disable Londyn's House on the map. Disabling it will make it impossible to place curses on other players.
DARK ESSENCE TIMER: If demons don't pick up these orbs in a certain amount of time, they will disappear. This option lets you set the time Dark Essence will stay on the board before vanishing. The longer they stay, the easier it will be for demons to get their buffs.
And last but not least there is a new Event Card!
The classic Banana Peel! I noticed that (unless SPHINX is present) there aren't many trap cards on the board in each game because you'd first have to build a gun shop and then visit it to buy some bombs, so in order to make trap cards a bit more prevalent I included this card. The really neat thing about it is though that you don't get 1, or 2, but 3 Banana Peels! So be sure to go all out and place them in some mean locations. > : 3
With all of that being said, I'm currently preparing the public release for next week, so fingers crossed that everything will go smoothly. ('ᴗ')
That's all for this update! For a complete overview of everything this patch does please refer to the changelog down below.
