A fantastic ending for Stacey. I can't help but feel a bit sorry for Byron. The situation is entirely of his own making and he got what he deserved, but I can't bring myself to revel in the misery of others. He's kind of a tragic figure in the classical sense. He has all the qualities for greatness, but is undone by a character flaw. If only he could manage not to be a dick, he could have had a great career and would have been the guy who dated a super model before she was famous. Stacey, on the other hand, knew how to make use of the opportunities given to her. She kept control of Byron until he was out of her life and built a great new life for herself. I'll admit, I was expecting the revelation that Aunt Amanda had been bullshitting about the surgey mixup. I thought she had worked out that Stacey was trans before she had and had taken steps to help. But I suppose that would have been very unethical, regardless of the positive outcome, and would have been hard to sympathise with her. It has been a fun ride with Stacey. I'm looking forward to what you come up with next.

A funnier but not as karmically satisfying ending for Byron would be him being appointed as the LGBTQI+ representative at his school because they see him as an ally for dating a transwoman and having to march in pride parades and be pro-LGBT everything despite him being a bullying bigot.
