also, i will never get over my moms gallery walls. these are all frames she’s got at goodwill and painted+aged. my favorite photo is the large center photo of my ngin ngin and yeh yeh (my dad’s parents) on their wedding day. closely followed by the 2nd photo in the top row of my bestefar and bestemor (my great grandparents on my moms side) bc they look so happy and playful

I used to relate to that movie Garden State soooo much for the same reason - going back to the parentals’ year over year feels like growing out of your favorite shoes; you KNOW they were comfy and familiar, but they don’t feel the same way they used to. I hope there are similarly warm and fuzzy new things that you do with your family that bring you comfort too!

ive only been living out of my parents house for about 2 years now and i guess i could be lucky for a little while longer since not mucb has changed yet - i still know the kitchen better than my mom does, and although my room isnt mine anymore its sti got a lot of my stuff i guess this reminded me how much i should treasure it while it lasts
