Looking ahead to v0.1.9

This one specifically deals with Sarah and Razaphel's potential 2nd encounter, where she taunts him. I always liked the scene for how it shows Sarah flipping the script on a partner, and I think the piece does a great job of capturing that. This should be included in the game properly, starting with the next update.
So, what will the next update be about?
The next update will be about expanding the Tribes-storyline. This is the storyline where Sarah fails to give Thomas good advice in preparing for the invasion from the desert, and her Kingdom is conquered by the Warlord Hassar.
This story currently cuts off at the moment where Sarah arrives in the city of Al'Gahaem, the 'capital' of the Tribes.
This next update will go a long way in filling out what the different storylines there will be, and so as a result, it has actually become quite a large update with a lot of branching paths that will set up all the different story-directions within that arc.
Specifically, the large branches that the update will set up are the following:
1) Sarah and Hassar - This will show Sarah's life inside of the palace as a part of Hassar's harem. It will also have her encounter a whole series of new characters, and will offer plenty of variety.
2) Sarah and Jaeid - This will show Sarah's life living in the normal parts of the city, together with Jaeid.
3) Sarah and other - This will show Sarah's life as a captive and will show what happens in a city where she has no allies at all. One major branch of this will be dealing with the 'Old Soldier' character, that currently has a few scenes.
All of these branches are going to get at least some chunk of story/art, to give a good feel to players about what they're all about. For one of them, I even hope to include a potential end-path, just so it's possible for players to reach some conclusion in this route.
So, as a result of all of these factors, I am currently expecting this update to be among the biggest updates that I've been working to release so far.
Additionally, while I usually release near the end of the month, this month is December and I think it would be a waste to release something around the holidays, when most people probably have other things going on as well.
Because of those reasons, the timing and the large amount of work for this update, I'll be aiming to release this update in January instead. I hope the size of the update will make it worth the extra wait.

Definitely. It sort of explores all the smaller what-if outcomes. The old soldier route is one of them, but there are also other sub-routes there where Sarah has nobody that stands up for her, and as you say, explores what it's like to exist there with very little/no power or influence.
Will there be sub routes within 3)? Where perhaps the old soldier outcome is say better than if her actions cause her to be moved farther down the power line?
It's still a bit far away, but my current estimate is that the release on Steam will happen first, which will be the current version of v0.90. Then in the week after, I'll aim to release the newest update, expanding on the Tribes-storyline.
