I completely agree with Emily about HWGTG. The intro on TV is just so wrong. To the point that I stopped listening to that song when all we had was TV. So happy to have the original back!

I love HYGTG but I think the part that loses people is the melody of “I love you for worse or for better, I would wait for ever and ever” I guess I get that it’s slightly annoying but the way it fits into the song is so good like it’s maybe a prechorus into “AND THATS HOW IT WORKS THATS HOW YOU GET THE GIRL”

You Are In Love - in the original, the music strips back when she says “pauses then says, you’re my best friend, and you knew what it was, he is in love” and it’s sooo meaningful. In Taylor’s version it doesn’t hit the same way. It seems like it doesn’t fully strip back until “he is in love” and it makes such a difference. That’s my favorite part of the song. But both are so good

I have NEVER felt as passionately about a re-record as I do with This Love. This Love TV made me realize the song so much so that it’s now my number 1 on 1989. It’s a Completely NEW elevated masterpiece. And I will forever be in awe of how the fuck anyone could make an already made song New. I’m so excited to know ur thoughts.

Okay. I have an unpopular opinion. I think that 1989 TV is better than the original. The sound is so much fuller and louder through headphones. I was really surprised when I listened to the original 1989 because it was underwhelming and less powerful than Taylor’s version. Which could just be technology improvements. I’m so sorry. Don’t come for me!
