Thank you for making me sob uncontrollably while thinking about my Mom and The Best Day! When I was 15, I had a very similar situation with my friend group and I would come home crying every day and my Mom was my absolute best friend in the world. Now she is suffering from dementia now and can’t remember all the memories that we shared and it’s so heartbreaking to see when she is my rock. No one will ever love me the way she did. Ok, I have to share my Best Day story with you! I DO get it Bonny, it’s been a complicated one for me because it’s so deeply the mom I want to be, but it’s not what I had. My cousin got married last weekend and his new wife (my Swiftie soulmate) surprised her mom with a mother daughter dance to The Best Day! Then halfway through the song, they invited all mothers and daughters up and I only have sons, so I did dance with my mom and it doesn’t magically heal everything, but it was nice in that moment. I think every Swiftie should consider that as a mother-daughter dance tradition, just looking around the dance floor at so many happy tears, it meant so much to everyone!🥹

I felt the same way as Bonny about Change. For me it was when she sang it as a mash-up with Long Live on the Eras Tour - the vibe for me with The Manuscript was reaching beyond just ATW10, to her saying the stories of these songs aren't her anymore and she's giving them to us so she can let them go. That coupled with the demands on her to say something after Vienna, that mash-up really felt like a message to us that the amount she gave us of her was going to change, i.e. it combining two songs where the main messages are "i had the time of my life with you" and "these things will change." It just felt like the Eras Tour was her giving us everything, and then she'd be moving forward into a freer, lighter place having let it all go. Having been a fan for so long (and loving that song), hearing her describe feeling frozen at the age she became famous, and then hearing her sing "And these things will change / One day / These things will change / One day we will be remembered" really made me feel this immense joy and pride that she was actually moving forward and hopefully setting some boundaries for herself. It hit hard and I just love hearing her sing it from that place.

On untouchable - the outro is truly superior! The bit that gets me about Taylor’s version though is that ‘oh oh oh ohhh’ near the end, the last oh goes up a tiny bit earlier and that is enough to make me pick the OG every time 😂 I’m just sooooo attached to fearless OG that I really struggle to pick Taylor’s version for any of the songs. Taylor’s version is sooooo good and I love listening to that too, but if I could only have one version forever it would definitely be OG for me 💛

2 things ✌🏼 1: Fearless has been the most important original to get back for me. It’s the album we had the longest before losing, and the one we’ve been the longest without. I agree that the Taylor’s Version is the most well done but it is the only original that I have been listening to non stop since May 30th. I cried and cried and cried the whole time listening through for the first time day. THIS is the music that made me fall in love with Taylor. 2: The way you two say Andrea I’m dying 😂😂😂 to me “On-Dray-Ah” is like an evil step mom from a movie who sends her step children off to boarding school and murders her rich husband. “An-Dree-Ah” is Taylor Swifts sweet amazing mother who raised my favourite superstar to be the most kind, powerful woman around.

Loved these videos! I commented on a previous “Our Versions” video saying that because I became a fan around Lover era, I’m so tied to the TVs because they’re the ones I know sonically and emotionally they mean more to me. But I also wanted to add to this thought - I think it’s also that because the TVs are with her mature, more developed voice and it is her singing at a later age than when the originals were recorded, I feel more connected because it feels like I’m listening to the Taylor that went through all she went through to get to the Eras tour, Midnights, Tortured Poets etc. if that makes any sense?! 😅 I totally respect the originals but the TVs just feel special because they’re all sung from the added perspective of the woman that’s gone through more of her journey. And I’m so excited for that reason to be hopefully getting Debut TV. I think Rep as it is is perfection because she’d had life experience then, the emotion is already there. I do like your new background, especially the string of hanging pictures. It made me think that a string of lights or two could look really cosy, especially if you end up doing a night time video like you used to with the surprise songs! For me, Love Story is the most no-brainer choice; I like the original so much more. I actually dislike the TV for the reasons Emily likes it, I really don't like the vocal changes in the TV and there are several of them. Change is the biggest glow up for me, her vocals are not that appealing in the original which is not a common criticism I have. The TV sounds so crisp and her mature vocals are perfect. Instrumental differences are a recurring thing on Fearless TV, there's a lot of extra stuff that was more prominent in the original; the electric organ in Hey Stephen, the violin in Breathe and Tell Me Why (you can't even hear it in Tell Me Why TV but there's a violin melody in the chorus that follow the melody of "I know you've got a mean streak".

The Way I Loved You (Taylor’s Version) completely misses the mark for me emotionally. The way she sings "it’s 2am and I’m cursing your name" around the 3 minute mark in the original version is sooo much better and the emotion is almost completely gone in Taylor’s Version.
