- The Discord server is very important to receive updates and assets as sometimes Gumroad may delete access for some reason. Keeping in contact with me or the community, in the 1 server will help mitigate issues regarding that. While also providing a place for community, a place to ask questions, and connect with others that own this model. This also includes future developments for other or new models, and lore if you're interested in that side. The discord invite is in your Lutalis Gumroad assets near the top.
- If you wish to try out my avatars before buying, check out my avatar world and try out all the models! An informed customer is a happy customer! https://vrchat.com/home/world/wrld_ed124abb-fcf6-44f6-918a-ceca73a7756b
- Folder also contains the substance painter files, FBX's, Plushie addon, and all the accessories.
Main details:
I present an Otter model based on my artistic style and lore! They are a small but squishy bunch with smaller ears, whiskers, shorter snoot, and the all famous rudder tail. This is my most modern model yet with tons of back end changes and still improvements in: mesh, weight painting, visemes, gestures, and more intractability. Here's a breakdown:
1: The model by default will come with these lore inspired pieces: T-shirt, Hoodie, Shorts, Collar, 2 pairs of glasses, and sockies/stockings. Along with the model itself of course. All of which have Shapekeys to match the body customization Shapekeys. There are some limitations still of course but I did my best to ensure compatibility.
2: The model also has my popular model-like plushie, first person snoot, a few interactions with the hoodie. That along with a ear puppet, tail puppet, mood puppet, and now the toe puppet. Also has togglable Physbones, claws and whiskers. Lastly native gesture locks.
3: Lastly because of the new standard, this model has a Quest FBX & Prefab, Facetracking shapekeys, Female Body shapekey, And 50+ customization shapekeys. (For Facetracking I recommend Jerry's prefab: https://github.com/Adjerry91/VRCFaceTracking-Templates) Should work pretty well, may need some tweeking however.
4: The unity also is set up nicely and conveniently with an included video tutorial. Now using VRC-Fury to make usage streamlined and performative.
Package folder also contains the substance painter files, FBX's, a UV layout for those not fortunate enough to have substance painter.
Discord invite will be on the assets page once you buy it, on the Gumroad itself. If the key doesn't work in the server, use the one that was emailed to you. Once in there and you verify you purchase it'll be in "Lutalis-updates" and under pinned and get any free updates or other things I work on.
My Discord is [ dale1969. ] contact me for any info, questions, and texturing.
TOS: Upon buying the model you agree to the terms and conditions as listed.
What you can do.
-Modify the model in blender or any other 3d program for personal use.
-Alter the texture, put on any accessories or modify the unity package in anyway you see fit. Once again for Personal use.
-Make public versions of my model, but must have textures you made, and you cannot sell those public textures. They are for everybody once public. You can however use them to advertise your texture commissioning if you wish :).
-Use the avatar on any platform including Neos and ChilloutVR, and I fully encourage you to mod a game and put the Lutalis into it. As long as the game TOS allows it.
-Sell texture commissions; but not the model assets (Lutalis FBX, Unity package, and substance painter files) You can buy the model assets for another person however if you wish and tack that on your commission price.
-Make your model into an OC, or Fursuit. Exception being you do not own the rights to the Lutalis species, you do own all the rights to your personal character however, who can be a Lutalis.
-Stream and Vtube with the model, and also using it in tiktoks or other media. But credit me and my avatar somewhere within the video or description using my name, or mentioning the model, or the link to my gumroad page. https://westhovenarts.gumroad.com
-Preform adult acts and other activities with my model or species. However, I am not responsible for any out of line behavior or illegal activity. It is your job as an individual to act within reason and within the law. Do not break any game, or platform TOS regarding their content either. Generally keep it in private and with those you trust.
What you cannot do.
-Modify the Lutalis FBX, Unity Package, Or Substance painter package, and sell it. If you plan to make an alternate version of the avatar, please contact me so I'm aware of it, and we may be able to work on compromises. Generally I want to work with you, not stop you completely.
-Claim you have the creative rights to the Lutalis species and model assets, or the base public textures that come with the model.
-Redistribute the model assets or base textures to somebody who has not bought the avatar assets.
-Upload the base Lutalis avatar or any of my other public avatars, as a public avatar of your own. You Can upload the base texture or my other public textures as a private avatar for yourself however. But you must also make it clear to others that is not your texture nor your personal character. You can make public avatars, read in the "Can do" for that.

Other Addons that are Required:
I Highly recommend VRChat's Creator Companion, as it trivializes 2 downloads and much of the setup process. -> https://hello.vrchat.com/download
VRC Fury As well for menu functions. -> https://vrcfury.com/download
As well as Poiyomi is required for the project. -> https://poiyomi.github.io/vpm
For Face tracking-> https://adjerry91.github.io/VRCFaceTracking-Templates/
I'm currently not able to make a custom template, don't have the staff or the skills right now but the best I can do is make it work with the drag/drop prefab. (Use the ARKit prefab).
Main Package, should include all necessary files.
Main Unity Tutorial:
!-For the clothing, it's important you put on anything you want on the model Via Drag/Drop with the prefabs. The goal is to incentivize clothing choice and only picking the things you will use. As we've had constant complaints about unoptimized avatars despite the base being good/medium.-!
If you have questions or so on. Feel free to ask me on discord -> Dale1969.
And if It's not too much of a hassle, consider leaving a review!
