Baby Lucy
🕑 Added 2023-06-27 12:00:05 +0000 UTCIt was a super close one this month, but here's the Community Story! It's a sequel to Little Lucy, so be sure to read that if you haven't!
"B-But..." Lucy pouted, squirming in the chair unhappily. "I-I thought that maybe..."
One glare from the owner was enough to silence her, despite how much Lucy had told herself she was going to stand up for herself, be assertive. It was one thing to say that, however, and another to do it while sitting in front of her person she'd signed a contract with while wearing only a t-shirt, fuzzy knee socks, and one of her now ever-present diapers.
"Our agreement was that you would post on your channel," the owner reminded her.
"It is my channel!" Lucy grumbled. "It's just a new channel..."
The owner sighed. "Exactly. A new channel with very few subscribers, that you haven't advertised to the viewers of your old channel whatsoever."
That had, of course, been the whole point... Lucy had gone back to her natural hair color as well, trying to put as much distance between her Little Lucy channel and her new one, hoping that if somebody did stumble across the latter, they might not make the connection... Maybe. It was a bit silly, she knew, since she still looked the same otherwise, and the last few videos she'd posted on her old channel had been pointing in this direction...
She hadn't been able to tell her viewers the truth, though, to upload that last video confessing that she had failed her potty training, been demoted back to the nursery, and full-time diapers while she was there. It wasn't fair!
Even less fair were the workers in the nursery. "Come on," she'd beg. "Just move my old chart in here! I'll prove that I'm a big girl in no time!"
"No, Lucy," they'd scold. "If you were ready for potty training, you'd still be on the daycare side. You don't have to worry about that here."
"Then send me back over there!" Lucy would demand, stomping her feet. "I am potty trained! I had a couple accidents, that's all!" All that would do was get her sent to the corner for a while, or put down for a nap early. What it never did was earn her a trip to the potty.
And, to add insult to injury, the last time she'd been called in to talk to the owner, it had been decided that she wasn't allowed to wear anything that would cover her diaper. "You're reviewing them now, right?" the woman had asked. "What better way to remind your viewers which one you're currently wearing than to have it on display? Plus, they can see from the outside how well it shows usage."
"I can tell them about that!" Lucy had whined. "Why can't you trust me to make my videos the way I want?"
"Because I haven't seen a video from you in a while," the owner had countered. "I assume you're having trouble editing them, so that would be one less thing for you to have to worry about remembering to add in. And, until you're caught up with the videos you're supposed to have posted, that's going to be your rule."
That was when Lucy decided to make her Baby Lucy channel, thinking that loophole might be the trick she needed to get out of this mess with her dignity relatively intact. Unfortunately, it seemed that wasn't going to work, either.
"Post the videos on your main channel," the owner ordered, "unless you'd like to be sued for breach of contract?"
Lucy shook her head fearfully. "N-No, ma'am," she squeaked. "I-I wouldn't..."
The owner chuckled. "I didn't think so. And I'd say it's time for a new ad as well... You aren't going to object to that, are you?"
Lucy sighed, gritted her teeth, positive that was a thinly veiled threat. "No, ma'am," she repeated herself. "I won't..."
"Good girl," the owner smiled. "I have the cutest idea..."

"Who is that?" Bianca nodded over to the petite young woman sulking next to the cribs.
Her new co-worker, Maggie, giggled. "Oh, you don't recognize her?"
Bianca did, of course... Who wouldn't? The girl's face was plastered all over the Internet, at least in their neck of the woods, standing there in her pink diaper, holding a toy phone. There were a few variants of her in different poses, the text emblazoned over them different each time, one of her calling her friends to tell them how much fun she was having, another of her thanking her Mommy for enrolling her here.
They weren't the reason Bianca had applied for the job; she'd assumed it was some outside model brought in for the photo shoot, that there was no real connection between her and the daycare. She couldn't deny that they had helped in her decision, however. Anywhere that would make ads that cute couldn't be all bad, right? When she discovered there was a program for older 'kids', as well, that had certainly intrigued her, too.
And now, to her shock, she was staring right at that same woman from the ads, and over in the nursery, nowhere near the late-bloomer potty training program she'd heard about. She couldn't help being a little star-struck, even if it was just a local ad.
"That is our Baby Lucy," Maggie explained. "She's an influencer. She does reviews of diapers and stuff."
"She does, huh?" Bianca watched as Lucy glowered at another kid who got too close to her. "That's pretty cool."
"I'll send you a link to her channel," Maggie promised. "She's been getting some super adorable things lately."
Bianca raised an eyebrow. "She has?" Lucy was, obviously, cute - Bianca doubted there was much the girl could have worn that would change that - but 'adorable' didn't seem like the right word for it. Her diapers were the closest, light blue and covered in balloons, moons, and unicorns; her shirt wouldn't have looked out of place on any other girl her age, however, a green crop top with dinosaurs on it. It showed off her diaper well, yes, though it wasn't particularly babyish, at least not to the degree Bianca would have expected.
"She does most of those reviews at home," Maggie said. "I'd love for her to wear some of it here, especially some of the frilly little bonnets she has, but she doesn't."
"Interesting," Bianca mused.
"I think she's getting ready to film," Maggie told her. "You should watch."
Bianca nodded, starting to do so while the girl set up her phone, trying to find the best angle to set it up on the floor in front of her. "These diapers are pretty good," she informed her audience begrudgingly, pawing at them. "I've wet, like, three times now, and I don't think they're ready to leak. And the workers here haven't even noticed!" She paused, shook her head. "No, I'd better not say that... That's not exactly good advertising for the daycare... Let's see..."
Bianca smiled, heart swelling to see the little model in action, an idea springing to mind. She waited for Bianca to start speaking again, then stepped over, bending down into frame and slipping a pacifier into the girl's mouth. "Come on," she ordered, standing back up, holding out her hand. "It's time for a change, sweetie."
Lucy looked up at her in shock, reaching for the paci. "No," Bianca scolded. "You know better, Lucy. That stays where it is until a grown-up takes it out. You can talk to your friends some more once you're in a dry diaper."

Lucy did her best to cut that out of the video, but the stupid worker changed her into another brand of diaper, making the edit awkward and obvious no matter what she did. It only made sense, as mortifying as the interaction had been, to give her viewers a glimpse of it to show why she was suddenly dressed differently.
The only thing more frustrating than that was how well the video did. All of her videos, in fact, had been doing well, ever since she'd been forced to re-upload her Baby Lucy content to her main channel. Her viewers, apparently, had been hungry for an update, though few of them seemed shocked to discover what she'd been up to.
'Yeah,' a typical comment would read, 'this totally makes sense. I'm surprised they let her pretend to potty train for as long as they did!'
There were way too many of them now to try to delete them all, and it felt pointless anyway. She had harbored some hope that her fans would revolt, would demand that she be allowed back out of the nursery, but that seemed increasingly unlikely when so many of them were new, joining only after her demotion.
The upside to all the new attention was the rush of new sponsors that came with it, companies eager to have her try their products; the downside was all those companies made things like baby clothes and diapers, of which she already had more than she thought she could ever use. They were the easiest to review, however, considering she had to wear at least one, and usually more, to the nursery every day. She was willing to take the money from the others, but she wouldn't have been caught dead actually dressing that way at her 'job.' It was bad enough knowing how many of the workers at the daycare watched her videos and would see her dolling herself up in those frilly dresses and lacy bonnets.
There was another subset of comments, ones she hated even more than the ones telling her she deserved this. 'Who is Baby Lucy's Mommy?' they'd ask. 'There's no way she can take care of herself, right? Just look at her!'
She did make an attempt at explaining it in a video, telling people she could, in fact, do exactly that; the daycare's owner made her take it down immediately, saying that it violated their agreement, was too close to her being out of character as Baby Lucy. She didn't have to be Baby Lucy outside of the nursery; she had to let her viewers believe she was, though.
So, when the worker showed up, shoved a paci into her mouth, that made the comments go into overdrive. 'Is that her Mommy?' they wondered. 'She seems perfect for the job! Look at how well she deals with Lucy!'
Lucy did her best not to show the worker in her videos, but she always seemed to be around whenever she was filming, ready to offer her a paci or a rattle or a change at the most inopportune times, every appearance, no matter how brief, bringing another swell of comments and views, both of which started to lag when she wasn't there.
She hoped she was the only one who noticed, though, of course, she wasn't. "I'd love to see this kind of engagement with all of your videos," the owner told her.
"A lot of it is random," Lucy shrugged. "You never know what will bring people in, or what will..."
"It's Bianca," the owner told her point blank. "The audience loves Bianca, so I want you to use her in more videos. Make her your co-star."
"But..." Lucy pouted. "I don't like her!"
"I don't care," the owner said. "You can find a way to incorporate her... Or I can."
Reluctantly, Lucy chose the former, toddling up to the worker after the meeting. "So, umm... I-I was wondering... Would you maybe like to be in one of my reviews?"
Bianca beamed. "I would love to, sweetie! But I'm afraid I have a few conditions..."
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Lucy had almost managed to make herself forget about it by the time she stumbled home. She had been less than pleased, having to stand there and listen to Bianca's stupid suggestions for how to make her content 'better', according to her, knowing she had to, at the very least, humor her for the sake of the owner.
"I'll take all that into mind," was the best she could force herself to say to it all. "It sounds like a lot of work, though, so..."
"I'd be happy to help," Bianca had offered.
Lucy hadn't know what to do, other than say, "Sure, whatever," then, annoyed at herself for being such a pushover, head to the bar after she left the daycare, stopping at her apartment just long enough to change into some grown-up clothes and panties. She'd taken a moment, looking at the trainers she still had, wondering if - considering how many accidents she'd been having lately even when she was sober, since she wasn't allowed to use the potty in the nursery - she ought to wear those, to be safe.
She hadn't, and now she regretted it. It was a good thing she lived in walking distance of the bar, or else she suspected she'd have had trouble finding an Uber that would let her on their seats with the obvious wet spot her shorts were sporting. She got a few looks as she made her way to her apartment, but she'd been getting those for a while now, after those stupid ads had started being shown. She missed the days of the first daycare ads, where she'd gotten to be the big girl... At least she could still be that in real life, even if she wasn't allowed to let any of her viewers in on that.
Or so she'd thought, until she fumbled her keys into her lock and stepped into her apartment, only to find Bianca waiting for her. "What are you doing out so late?" she asked. "And what did you do?! Why weren't you dressed properly?"
"I am!" Lucy glared at her. "I'm not a stupid baby!"
"Your shorts say otherwise," Bianca shook her head. "Come on, let's get you cleaned up."
"No!" Lucy whined. "I can do it myself!" But Bianca grabbed her by the hand, dragging her to the bathroom where she gave her a bath, scrubbing her pink before leading the naked girl into her bedroom. Or, rather, what had used to be her bedroom. "What did you do?!" she wailed.
"I told you all about my ideas," Bianca reminded her. "The owner was into them, too, and had some old furniture she said we could use, so I took your keys from your bag and had a copy made so I could surprise you. You're going to be able to do so many more diaper reviews this way, and your other reviews are going to feel so much more authentic."
"B-But..." Lucy's lip quivered, looking around at her room. Her bed had been replaced by the same kind of crib the nursery used, her desk by a changing table. "I'm not a baby!"
"Yes, you are," Bianca said. "And you're going to be a much better baby if you don't confuse yourself trying to switch back and forth all the time. Now, come on. let's get you ready for bed."
Lucy's stomach churned, seeing Bianca hold out a diaper and a pacifier for her, apparently all she was going to get to sleep in. "No!" Lucy stomped her foot, racing for her dresser, yanking the top drawer open, head spinning as she saw all of her panties gone, replaced by diapers. The other drawers didn't fare any better, baby clothes taking the place of her adult things, onesies, pastel t-shirts with cartoon characters on them, shorts with snaps in the crotch... Her closet was even worse, with dresses and rompers and shortalls hung up, waiting for her to be dressed in them.
"It's so silly for you to wear your baby clothes only here when you don't even wear diapers with them half the time," Bianca told her. "I talked to the owner, and she said she'll start letting you wear things over your diapers again, as long as I pick them out for you. And you'll be able to review so many more outfits that way, too! You can wear one to the nursery, and then another when you get home..."
"I don't wanna dress like a baby!" Lucy stomped her feet again, face turning bright red in anger and shame. "I'm not a baby! I'm not, I'm not, I'm not!"
Bianca scooped her up, mid-tantrum, ignoring her struggles entirely as she carried the girl over to the changing table, powdering her and taping her up into her diaper, which only made Lucy more upset. "I've already reviewed these stupid diapers!" she fumed.
"I know," Bianca cooed at her. "But you've been neglecting a very important part of diaper reviews... You haven't been using them for everything, have you?"
Even through her outrage, the humiliation of that cut through. "N-No, of course not!" she squealed. She'd messed her diaper once, earning her way back to the nursery with it. She'd always been sure to go at home since then, so it wouldn't happen again.
"You do now," Bianca smirked. "No more potty for you, Baby Lucy, at the nursery or at home... You're going to have to re-do all of your diaper reviews so you can do them properly, now that you have your Mommy to help you."
"No, I won't!" Lucy insisted.
But a trip over Bianca's knee, and then to the corner, was enough to show Lucy that what Mommy wanted, Mommy got... And little did she know that Mommy had been filming, too, ensuring that her audience was also aware of the shift in power once she made Lucy post the video. To Lucy's chagrin, they all seemed to agree with it as well, telling Mommy that this was what Lucy had needed for a long time, complimenting her on a job well done, happy to participate in votes as to which diapers Lucy should be put in for the day, what dumb baby outfit she should wear over them.
It was no longer just an act, no longer just for her videos... She was, in fact, Baby Lucy now, all the time. There was no escape from it, not while Mommy was around... And Lucy had a bad feeling that Mommy was going to be sticking around long after Lucy's contract with the daycare had expired. And why not? There were plenty of other sponsors lining up for them as a duo, going around Lucy to talk to Bianca, as if she was the one in charge here.
Which, Lucy supposed she had to admit, like it or not, she was. She might not have started all this, and she might not be able to do any of it without Lucy... But Lucy knew she was too much of a chicken to try to point that out, to use that as leverage, to see what Mommy might do in response. She was more popular than ever; unfortunately, she also had less power than ever, and she didn't think that was likely to change anytime soon.

Yeah, I was going to say something similar. This was great! I really enjoyed reading it, but I really loved the cliffhanger that LIttle Lucy ended on. I feel like I would have liked to have seen a direct continuation with Lucy being dragged into the nursery with a bunch of actual babies.
I liked the idea behind this post. But the changes and ending came on way too quickly starting at around the midpoint, and the story glossed over the details of what made the idea entertaining.
