Work Delay [Somewhat Important]
🕑 Added 2018-08-29 18:54:48 +0000 UTCHowdy everyone! I've got good news and bad news, and I'm starting with the bad for those uninformed -
Due to several reasons bubbling up over the span of 3 years, I put in my notice to my job on August 1st and after a month of being begged to stay whilst being jerked around and ignored, 8/26 was my last time clocking out there. I won't go in to the long story of it, but the good news is I've now got a lot more time for art and Patreon. I plan on opening slots for Patreon for commissions and tweaking it a bit due to the fact my art will be my only source of income for a while. [I've got my savings and my surgery is postponed until further notice, so I'm not in danger or hard pressed. I did not put myself in a bad or dangerous place, please do not worry about me, aha.] I also plan on futzing with Ko-Fi and using it to release SFW kink packs of sketches and whatnot, but we'll see - at the moment I don't wanna overstim myself and risk crashing, so I'm trying to start slow.
However this brings us to the bad news - as much as I'd love to do all of this *now*, open Patreon slots *now*, ect, I can't.
As most of you know I've had a recurring RSI in my left arm; it got better for a while and I stopped taking the care I should have while using it. So of course the symptoms are back and pretty gnarly. The pain keeps changing locales from the base of my ring finger to the base of my thumb, the back of my arm, my wrist, ect. It migrates about. Back when I saw the specialist she told me it was just RSI symptoms but it's likely I'm on course to develop cubital tunnel syndrome and likely carpal too. :V My pain is more centralized around my ulnar nerve and the associated tendons, which is fancy talk for 'my pinkie and ring finger and that whole side of my hand hurt a lot more than the other bits' but frankly they all hurt.
That said, I know I've got my workload for August to do still, but messages will be going out early September for the $20 tier to get orders ASAP, and we'll be going from there. However, please be understanding of delays - I have not been able to start on /anything/ from August due to this. I've been trying to offhand sketches but it's not going amazingly. I appreciate that people are excited for their stuff but I'm stressing and unhappy over the fact I haven't been able to deliver or even start yet, aha. I'm sorry. I'm doing my best to recover by taking time off (I haven't sat down and drawn for 3+ days, and I even stopped gaming bc it was bad for my ulnar due to my shite keyboard) but I'm going stir crazy not being able to do what I love.
I don't know when the pain will stop, but I can say it's gotten better over my break. I'll be easing back into working here soon, promise. I'm honestly *not* enjoying the time off drawing and trust me, I wanna be doing it as much if not more than y'all wanna see my stuff, haha.
