The moment we've all been waiting for is finally here β the final progress report!
And you know what that means...
0.8 IS ALMOST HERE! π€©π€©π€©

I still have work to do, these last days are always stressful and I know everyone is eager for the update, so Iβll cut straight to the chase and keep the post short and direct!
When?
The new update will be released next week, either Thursday or Friday, depending on how long it takes to finish the last scene Iβm working on and how the polishing phase goes.
Iβll post the final changelog and the definitive release dates for each tier in two or three days, so make sure not to miss it!
As always, it will launch first for the Demon Lord tier, followed by all the other tiers every few days until the Public Release!
What's in it?
This is the biggest update I've ever done. It contains 4 fully animated lewd scenes, tons of character development and story progression, new characters, more lore, action, blood, romance, and many more surprises π
You can expect several hours of new content, no matter how fast you read. If you enjoy the story of Eternum, youβre in for a treat!
This update includes:
Over 1,650 new renders
More than 80 new animations
Over 16.5K lines of dialogue

I'm up in the cheap seats (Master tier I think), so I won't be seeing the new content until sometime next week I suppose, or possibly a bit later, since I usually access this incredible story through a public access channel ("porngameshub.com"). However, just like a great meal, the longer I wait, the more delectable it becomes...needless to say, I'll wait eagerly for my first taste of the new content, and then I'll gorge myself until my plate is totally empty! Your writing is absolutely incredible, and the plot, music, and graphics are completely flawless, in my humble opinion.

That makes more sense lol still great news though! I was wondering what your outlook on the choices is? Will this be a multiple directions game? A Harem ending type of game? Or will it be one of those stories that it didnt really matter in? I really wonder because the game is developed in parts so I imagine its hard to make choices call back to each other while still keeping hold of continuity to the story. Sorry for the essay.

He mentioned on the Progress Bar thread that he's currently targeting 13 updates total (tho that could be subject to change). Assuming that holds, that means we still have 5 updates left after 0.8. Also, he mentioned a while back that he's jotting down notes for the next game, so he definitely has something that he wants to make after Eternum ends.

Version number isn't necessarily a decimal. The zero in 0.8 simply means it's before full release, while the 8 means it's version 8 of the pre-release version. So it might as well go until 0.13, i.e version 13 before full release

This is certainly an amazing Christmas gift for sure. I am looking forward to continuing the story and it sounds like it will be pretty long as well which is a bonus. This game is spectacular for an AVN, but it would be spectacular even if it wasn't an AVN. I share the same sentiment that you'll be happy when it's finished, though I'm curious if you're already planning on another game like when you finished Once? I know probably not, as it seems like this has taken all of your time and you will take a break for some time when it's finished. Just curious: Since this will be 0.8 are planning on ending the game right at 1.0 or continuing on from there? Thank you for keeping us updated and continuing to develop this amazing game Caribdis. I don't like starting unfinished stories. Because especially with VNs, you never know if they will -ever- get finished at all. I did start Eternum, though. I also have a hard time rereading already familiar stuff. It's not just a VN-'issue'. Happens with movies as well. I lose focus and can't follow, because the story is already known. I happen to diligently reread the entirety of Eternum every time an update drops. It's the only story so far that manages to do that. I have the deepest respect for your craft, Caribdis. Once In A Lifetime has already been good. Eternum, so far, is incredible. And despite my own paranoia, I am actually inclined to trust you to finish this tale of yours. I'm trying not to rave too much about each and every little amazing detail. There's plenty of people doing that already. I am trying to express gratitude, however. Thank you for being who you are, how you are, and what you're doing. I hope that, when this update wraps up - and eventually the entire story -, that you'll be proud. That you'll look back fondly. That you're as thrilled and happy as so many of your rightfully gained followers are. Thank you.
