Marvel: King of The Swarm Chapter 32: The King
🕑 Added 2025-06-11 00:18:49 +0000 UTC"Where...am I?" Elektra asked, her words coming out slurred as her jaw refused to move correctly, still numb from her apparent poisoning.
One of the girls, a blonde with pale white skin and a body like a dancer smiled before biting her knuckle as if trying to hold back a laugh, "Welcome to our Hive, where you'll be staying for the foreseeable future."
"You should be honored, you're the first non-Swarm to step into this place," The other girl replied as she sat up making sure to stick out her large bountiful chest that led to a narrow waist before flaring out again with a set of wide hips, "Though, I'm sure you would beg to disagree."
Feeling sensation slowly return to her body Elektra tried to move only to find herself stuck fast she looked down to find herself cocooned in a thick purple film that seemed to grow directly out of the collum she was bound to. Looking around Elektra found similar collums placed at irregular intervals around the dark cavernous room lit by smaller versions of the golden jelly sack that the two girls lounged on. The floors and walls were all made out of the same vicious purple slime that almost seemed alien as Elektra watched small golden tendrils writhe just beneath the surface. If she had to describe the setting in one word, it would be alien which was a possibility Elektra didn't even want to begin to consider.
Instead, she turned to address her captors once more who seemed more than inclined to observe her from their leisurely lounging spot, "Why have you taken me captive? I have no information worth torturing me to get and I serve no value as a hostage to anyone of note."
"Is she suggesting that we kill her?" The blonde one asked her companion who shrugged, "She's most likely trying to buy time or hope we reveal something that might aid in her escape."
The blonde laughed, a cruel but alluring sound that echoed off the writhing walls, "If only she knew how futile her efforts would be, her best bet is to hope that the King finds some purpose for her or takes a liking and decides to make her his new pet."
Her friend joined in on the laughter and while Elektra kept her face passive her mind was hard at work as she slowly extended two tendrils of mental energy toward the girls. Doing so at such a distance and splitting her attention between two targets was almost at the limit of her capabilities, but desperation gave Elektra strength and after a minute her mind established a connection.
But before Elektra could even attempt anything, her mind was overwhelmed as she found herself connected not to two separate minds, but to an entire collective of individuals, each somehow sharing a central consciousness and a vast reserve of mental energy.
Just scanning the surface thoughts and emotions of so many caused Elektra to experience a telepathic backlash as her mind forcefully severed the connection out of self-preservation causing her no small amount of pain as her head snapped back.
"Did she just try to..."
"I believe she did," The curvy girl finished as she stared at Elektra all trace of humor and levity gone replaced by a cold unfeeling wrath, "Though at least she proved to us that the King was successful in isolating the genetic code for her telepathic abilities."
"Hmmm," The blonde let out a sensuous sigh as her golden eyes briefly flared, "I can feel them...our children...and their endless devotion...it's wonderful."
With a grunt, Elektra managed to pick up her head which was still ringing from the backlash which had caused a trickle of blood to drip from her nose, 'How...did I let this happen.'
"Surely since she attacked us we can feed her to the spawning pool?"
"The king would not be pleased."
"But surely we could please him as we beg for his forgiveness?"
"Would you two shut up!" Elektra groaned managing to glare at the two girls despite the stabbing pain in the front of her skull, "I can't even hear myself think over the both of-"
"Silence!" The blonde snapped and Elektra's cacoon came alive growing to cover her mouth and silencing her in an instant, "I can't wait until we start conquering this planet in earnest, I have a list of people I want to see thrown into a spawning pool."
Before the two could resume their seemingly endless chatter an intangible wave ripped through the room causing the glowing sacks of golden jelly to flare and the writhing walls to come alive as a sea of tiny tendrils emerged from the floor.
Elektra's heart dropped as she realized the wave was entering the domain of an extremely powerful psychic presence. One that seemed to merge with its surroundings and pressured her mind into submission just by existing.
And while it caused her a great deal of discomfort the two girls seemed to come alive, as they sat up completely enraptured their cheeks flushed with heat and eyes practically glowing with fervor.
Following their gaze Elektra peered at the far wall of the chamber, which receded exposing a tunnel leading off to an unknown destination. But what was more important was the man standing in the entranceway.
Similar to the girls the man was flawless with picture-perfect facial features, a tall towering stature comprised of wide shoulders, and a narrow waist. The man was heavily muscled as well, to the point where he looked sculpted like a statue. However from the neck down, instead of skin, the man was covered in the same hardened purple slime highlighted with golden metallic veins.
The same material also comprised the man's sharpened fingernails, the serrated spines along his tail the crow of horns encircling his head, and the intricate spiked pauldrons that rose from his shoulders.
It only took a glance for Elektra to realize she was staring at Scourge, unmasked and now far more powerful than he was when they fought, 'Is this what the girls were talking about, him somehow copying my telepathic powers? But that doesn't explain why he is so powerful all of a sudden, I've trained for years but never came close to something like this.'
Confusion and fear threatened to send Elektra into a panic but she forced herself to remain calm, she had been kept alive so far, so the likelihood that Scourge would kill her now was low.
The blonde and curvy girl stood as Scourge approached before throwing themselves at him, pressing their nearly naked bodies against his as they kissed and licked along his jaw before stealing his lips.
Elektra found herself unable to look away from the erotic sigh despite her years of training that had granted her an iron will. Fortunately, her captor's passion didn't devolve further and Scourge eventually turned his gaze to stare at Elektra.
"I must say how grateful I am that Fisk sent you after me, you were exactly what I was looking for," Scourge taunted as he stepped away from his harem and walked towards Elektra who was still bound but the gag covered her mouth melted away allowing her to speak.
"You needed a telepath," Elektra stated as she stared Scourge down, "But why and how did you copy my power?"
Scourge smiled, "You do realize that the only reason why I would allow you to wake up conscious in this room and witness even a fraction of what you've seen is that I am wholly confident that you will never leave this chamber alive or without being under my complete control?"
"I figured as much," Elektra replied calmly, "But what I can't figure out, is why you kept me alive. From what I gather you already copied my powers, what more do you want from me?"
The smile across Scourge's face turned downright predatory as he stared at Elektra, "I want nothing from you and that is why you are alive. There is nothing you can offer me beyond yourself, and that I intend to take full possession of."
Elektra let out a short barking laugh as she glared at Scourge despite his terrifying visage, "You can try, but beings greater and more powerful than you have tried to collar me, and yet I remain free and unchained."
"I can tell by your response that those who demanded your servitude before were brutes that relied on pain and fear to force those lesser than them into dominion," Scourge narrated as the psionic pressure on Elektra's mind suddenly turned into a crushing vice that caused her to grunt in pain, "But understand this well, I am Scourge, King of The Swarm, and I am not worshiped out of fear by my followers and children."
After another painful second the pressure receded and Elektra let out a quiet sigh of relief as she stared into Scourge's eyes which looked at her the same way one might view an interesting bug, "They follow me because I offer them a chance to become part of something greater than themselves. However, I'm afraid that such strong-willed individuals like yourself can't see the benefit of the gifts I offer. No matter, I rather enjoy opening the minds of those who reject me."
Elektra's nostrils flared at Scourge's words as she silently dared him to try with a defiant look in her eyes, "Normally at this point, I would slowly corrupt your body and mind until you were dependent on my existence....but can't overlook the chance to test my new powers on such a fortified mind, and this way I don't have to worry about breaking you so easily."
A malevolent glimmer shone in Scourge's eyes as he extended two fingers coated in an oily purple shadow that seemed to suck in all light, "Don't worry I'll start off slow, just relax and give in to me, accept my darkness as your own and we can walk the shadows together."
