Cait + Beta Map
🕑 Added 2021-07-13 08:44:36 +0000 UTCEnjoy some (public) Cait Art along with a peak at a more detailed version of the map in Cait's Quest: world-building is still super loose, but something I very much enjoy doing.
The world of Cait's Quest, at least in the region shown, has sparsely-distributed human populations, given that monsters are easily able to dominate many natural environments. People are still able to carve out and maintain civilization using skill, magic, and strategy. It also doesn't hurt that they were able to exist for millennia without having to worry about monsters, and it certainly helps that certain monster or "beast-folk" are willing to work with humans through trade. You can imagine what some of the commodities for them may be.
Naturally, as human girls are highly coveted by monsters, the smartest ones are certain to allow humanity to thrive to a certain degree, such that their favorite delicacy will never run out.
There are more smaller towns and settlements in this area beyond what is shown. Cait's is a small riverside village. Not sure if we'll ever go back there. Are there any points of interest for people?
