Maybe try deleting your settings file. Sounds like something is wrong with the install. Should be named Carl_Dineout_Reloaded_Settings.ini - make sure you don't have any old copies of the mod installed as well.

I paid 5 dollars to download this, and the extra stuff isn't even on the game. I do not see the options to add a bar nor do I see the option to make customers pay at the door. I can't even see where I can click to add deserts and main courses. It looks like the old download with no new stuff.

Thank you, peeti. I don't really understand how this bug relates but you are not the first to propose this as a solution. I guess the community has been spreading this fix for various issues. I need to understand how it's interfering as maybe I can make that option not needed in order for restaurants to work correctly.

I had this issue without Carl's mod installed, it's a bug happening when "Allow household to gain celebrity points" is ticked off! Try ticking that option to allow celebrity gain, reload the game and it should work! (at least it did for me- good luck!)

I have removed all other mods and cc from my game except "McCmdCenter" and have the latest "Carl_DineOut_Reloaded_v3.35". Not only do no cooks, waiters, or hostesses appear on the restaurant lots, but no bartenders will appear at any of the bar venues, except Cottage Living. When clicking on a bar top to hire a bartender the response is that there is already a bartender on site (but really there isn't). I cleaned everything out of my game, including re-loading all my packs and had the same result. What else can be done?

Can I set specific commands for each restaurant? It seems like the settings I applied for my food truck also applies for my dine in restaurant. But I want them to be different.

I’m having an issue where food disappears when waiters serve tables. It works fine when I have customers pick up their own orders which is weird. Has anyone else had this problem?

I don't know if you want more ideas for this mod but I think I cool feature you could add would be like to hire a manger for your restaurant. for when you away and you have to restaurant open but also to just have a manger there to help especially if you play as the chef it would be like another person to help run the restaurant

Happy to answer the question. I just haven't had interest in covering a lot of the new content My mother was dying at the end of 2022 and we started the year with her funeral. It's been hard to even mod, which is where most of my interest lies right now.

Interesting find Someone is saying their chef is stuck in a loop. I know this was not any behavior I saw, but something must be causing them to do this and I will investigate. I could use a save file if anyone wants to send it to carl@carlsguides.com with subject Dine Out. Try to also attach the settings ini file for the mod as it will let me reproduce your setup exacty.

You need enough stations for them that are not marked as player chef stations. This is usually the cause If they do not find a station they can route to and use, they will just leave

I'm having an issue where the waiters aren't taking orders. edit: it seems if you start cooking orders as chef before the waiters take the orders it loops you into the prep animation and doesn't produce meals.

host and waiter works if you have other sims in the household. Just bring them in the restaurant lot. however, only 1 can play as chef. I use other mod to hire 1 of my household to be my sous chef and it works since I can still control my hired household sim.

Is it possible to add a setting for Delivery only? Also sometimes the walkup diners or the Guest orders themselves doesn't work. They just sit around and the food doesn't come. Otherwise, great mod! Thx!

I have the same issue. You can try another mod to add custom chefs and waiters and add your househould member that way. That works for me

I've noticed that no matter where I put the Order Up! counter that it doesnt count the orders, I thought it just went on a wall.... am I placing it incorrectly?

I hope you can fix these EA bug like customer always standing or not sitting while eat causing they take notes, although they are not restaurant critic, also customer still steal other people food.

This might be an issue with the maximum amount of Sims in the game. I'm sorry this is happening. Deliveries are supposed to be able to spawn regardless of the cap. Sometimes the game decides not to spawn them in. I tried to "rescue" this by waiting some time and seeing if no one showed, but it seems like it's still failing for some reason.

I'm having an issue where only one household can be the chef of the restaurant. Whenever I attempt to add a second household member as a chef, the interaction is cancelled.

It seems like no matter how quickly my chef cooks the delivery food still piles up. It might just be a glitch but I am watching the sims that arrive and how quickly he puts the bags up. At the end of a shift there are zoomer bags that I have to delete that arent picked up.

try to test with only DOR in your mods folder...if you are able to go on a date with just DOR then it may be a mod or cc conflicting

I cant go on a date is that normal after putting this file in my game. I love that my chef's dont wait outside the restaurant and I no longer have to debug them but to not go on a date might not be a good trade off

i had this same issue , ran the game with just dine out reloaded and it worked so it was one of my mods causing them to take hours to serve free deserts or drinks

I just want add an update to my previous comment for anyone else curious. I did a backup before of course, but I did add this mod back into the game (after the latest base game update and new Growing Together pack) and I haven't had any issues that I have seen yet. I played for about 5 hours with it. Nice to have my restaurants functioning again! Lol... I tried to play with just Dine Out and without this mod for a few days... and it was terrible. No servers in any restaurant. So thanks again Carl for saving the game! I honestly appreciate your work so much!

It sounds like you have more than one chef station marked as main. I think he's working on a fix for this, but just make sure you only have 1 station set as main.

Hi! Love this mod so much, the only thing I’m struggling with is that my chefs disappear a couple of seconds after showing up for their chef. I’ve tried multiple firings and hidings, exited the game, closed and reopened the restaurant… nothing is fixing it :(

So I'm noticing something...I have so I can do take out and dine in orders, however the diners are getting ignored? Meaning chefs will keep cooking for the take out/walk in orders. Also, I'm noticing people come in that have stars over their heads but then it disappears and they won't go sit down sometimes?

First off I love your mods. You made running a restaurant absolutely fun in the game. One thing I noticed in v3.3 is sometimes the sims don't pick up their delivery orders and you can only go into build mode and delete them. Not sure if there is an adjustment to the setting you could make that they could be thrown out or something once you close the restaurant. The glitch happens occasionally. But love the delivery and all the new settings you added. Thank you for the hard work!

I love the work. I love what you do to fix the problems in the game and I would love to play this mod but I keep running into all kinds of exceptions to the point where I just can't. I've sent, at least, one exception but I'm hoping that whatever fixes that need doing for the new patch will include this one. :-/

Hii, I love this mod! There is a bug with the delivery system. A lot of orders never get picked up, especially if I select on the waiter station to disallow new customers.

I love, love, LOVE this mod. My sim was able to run her little fast food restaurant. During rainy days, she’s strictly doing delivery orders. I hope to soon run a buffet with many selections of food. You are awesome and I thank you for allowing me to to enjoy my game more with your mod.

Mod is causing waiters to entirely disappear for me, essentially making all restaurants non function. This is the case with every lot. Ones owned by NPCs or players.

So I'm trying to play and for some reason i don't have the settings menu that allows me to let customers seat themselves and grab their own food and such. help? i pretty much have the ability to play as chef and that's it. i don't even think i can accept deliveries.

Hi Jessica. You can hire staff from a list of Sims or your Sims can work themselves in the restaurant. I recommend at least three Sims in the household to be a host, chef and waiter.

Hi Carl. Sorry if this has been answered before. You mentioned a couple of versions ago about enabling takeout orders in a future version. Is this in the mod yet? One of my favorite things to do in The Sims 2 Open For Business was to run a hybrid bakery/cafe where I would have displays with food to go or the option to dine in and be served coffee/cake/etc. I would love to be able to recreate this in the Sims 4. here is an idea for gameplay, make the waiter a vampire, with a neat trait and that has vampiricly run enabled, thats the best thing, he does everything sooo fast, and clean by himself because of the trait!

Yes. With big mod updates (or arguably with any update) it's good practice to delete the old mod files before putting in the new ones, rather than having them be overwritten. And since some mods, including this one, come with extra config/settings files, sometimes those need to be deleted as well, so they can be recreated to suit the new version of the mod. (Note -- not always; I don't delete my MCCC configs unless an update requires it, since those are my saved settings.)

When it says delete "Mod Package and settings file" does that mean delete the old Mod. Completely remove it, before installing the new update and only use the new one?
