New Features in Dine Out Reloaded v3.2

Today, Dine Out Reloaded v3.1 became free to the public and 3.2 makes its debut. Bugfixes and improvements have been applied to both version but 3.2 has some nice new features my Early Access Patrons can enjoy: Farm to Table and the Sous Chef System.
Farm to Table
The new farm to table system is really simple on the surface, but can allow many different activities to interact with your restaurant. This leads to a more in-depth experience, as you can make use of foods grown in the garden, fish you've caught, and other things in order to boost the profit of your establishment.
Using Farm to Table is super easy. Simply click a refrigerator in your restaurant and Mark as Produce Inventory. Now the mod will know to look to this object as your source of ingredients.
Once this is done, you can drag ingredients or use the convenient Transfer all Ingredients interaction I made that will scan everything in your inventory and move anything usable over.
This system encourages variety. The larger the variety of items in your fridge, the more likely something is to be used. You get bonus rolls at 7 and 15 ingredients (in terms of different types) that can let multiple ingredients be used per meal.
As you work to build your restaurant, restock regularly and ingredients will automatically be used, boosting profits.
Sous Chef System
The new Sous Chef system works with the 'Mark as Main Chef Station' ability you will find on chef stations. Use this to pick which one your Sim will be using. Then, other NPC chefs you hire will take up other roles.
In the Mod's options (accessed by shift-clicking the ground with testingcheats on) you can then turn the Sous Chef System on.
This will prevent NPC chefs finishing meals. They will work on as many as are available, but simply remove steps of the cooking process. This will let your chef's skill level determine the final quality while giving you a reason to stay in the kitchen even when your restaurant expands.
Order Up! Digital Restaurant Display
Look for the Order Up! Digital Restaurant Display in build mode. Ravasheen made this for the mod at my request, and she did a great job. This object hangs on the wall and will show the current number of orders in the restaurant's queue.
Apologize for Wait Interaction
The new Apologize for Wait interaction will appear after patrons have been in the restaurant for at least 40 minutes. Once used, it will cut a percentage of their wait time off, being more effective the longer they've been in the restaurant. However, it can be used early on to give you a chance to beat the clock. You have 85 minutes from the time guests arrive to get their meal served. This can let you hit 100 if you apologize before the meal is delivered. In more extreme cases, it will give you some more time before guests leave. You may only use this once, so consider your strategy.

The problem I have is that I order the food and drink on a date, and the waiter comes with the covered tray, removes the cover and we get the poof sound effect and he walks away but there is nothing on the table to eat or drink. I then reorder, which it allows me to do, because the game thinks I have already received my first order, and the whole thing happens again. Waiter serves - poof -- no food or drink. I do not manage this restaurant. I'm just a customer.

HI, I have testing cheats on and am shift-clicking the ground but all that comes up is the ability to spawn animals...am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Hi Carl. I have the same issue as @RonaldBaldwin. It's happening in the restaurants I am running, but also those that I try to visit as a diner, with other Sim characters. The chef appears at the edge of the restaurant lot, then vanishes. This happens over and over.

Hi Carl. My chef is showing up and instantly leaving on 3.2. Even when I hire another they don't show up either. Do you know if the mod conflicts with MCCC or UI Cheats. Is this an EA problem or an issue with the mod? My Sim generally just plays as chef anyhow. This was my first time really playing Dine Out in 7 years of owning it so thank you for making it such a fun ride!

I have Twisted Mexi's Better Exceptions and it keeps telling me there is something wrong with Dine out: reloaded and that if I keep playing it, it might make the game act funny (not in those exact words of course). I'm not sure if the two mods conflict with each other or if BE is picking up on something. For now I took out the files for Dine Out until I know what's going on. Any help would be appreciated!

Still no food - tried to make a new lot for it, and everything else. It has worked in the past but no.. I tried everything i honestly feel exhausted.. It has great potentiel this pack and mod, but it's annoying.. Also now i cant manage my waiters and cooks after installing the new package???

Hi, thanks so much for this mod. I hadn't played much with the Dine Out Pack since it came out, I rarely even bothered putting in a restaurant in the world, just because of how long it took to get though a meal when visiting a Restaurant. This mod is a completely awesome, I saw lilsimsie's youtube video on this pack and had to give it a try. Thanks so much again!

Just wanted to let you know that I finally got to play with the update and it has been the best dine out experience I have gotten in so long! The only issue I was still working with was waiters trying to deliver the meals and they were disappearing but it is solved if my player delivers the food which is ok with me currently. Appreciate your hard work on this, I love it!

Whenever any restaurant guests orders food, when they serve the food themselves or my sim serves them, the food tray ends up on the ground and only 1 person gets served but they all act Iike they didn't get their food and they don't pay. I removed all my other mods to test if it was caused by them or this mod alone and it seems to be this mod. I have version 3.26

I was getting them when shift clicking the floor to open up the settings. In a previous comment, Carl said to delete the DineOutReloaded Settings file in mods. That fixed it for me.

Only one LE so far, not counting animation errors which could be pretty much anything -- I got a tuning error with DO-reloaded the other day but derped out and forgot to save the error text. I'll have to check whether it's still the same exceptions report and post it in Discord. Other than that, most of the unexpected behaviours I've seen do seem to centre around the moveobjects cheat. I've been playing on James Turner's food truck lot, but will make a new one with no MOO and see what differences there are.

Hey Carl. Love Dine out, but lately throwing LE's, which states it is Dine Out as the reason. I have the newest addition installed, so just wanted to give you a heads up, not sure anyone else is having this issue.

the employed chef will work the other station (tested in my game), but not sure what they contribute. Meals don't seem to cook faster (which would be a huge benefit). I employed staff recently, to boost efficiency, but aside from some clean up, the NPCs didn't seem to do anything - didn't take orders or welcome diners or speed up meals (sous), so sacked the sous chef and may sack the rest. It's not a deal-breaker for me, as I'd been just using household as staff previously (but they kept wandering off, so maybe I need to turn off autonomy for opening hours)

Carl, love this mod, could you explain what exactly the additonal chef does if we switch on suos cheft? "Then, other NPC chefs you hire will take up other roles." This means npc chef will use the second or third cook station correct?

The send home early isn't doable right now, but all the stuff in your first paragraph is found in the mod's options menu. Turn testingcheats on then shift-click the ground in your restaurant to access settings :)

Did you mark as main chef station? This could happen in theory with a bug in which the game marks certain Sims as played when they are not in the current save.

I don't know if you take suggestions, but if so, it'd be nice if there was a way to decide which duties your waiters/waitresses do. Like, I prefer my sim to take orders and deliver food, and I'd rather my waiters were basically glorified busboys. It'd be nice to have the option to prevent them from doing any given task. Also, I don't know if this one is doable, but it'd be cool if we could send staff home early. Like, the last two hours or so I plan to be open, I've disallowed new customers, I'm not going to need my host anymore and I don't really want to pay her an extra §40 to stand there and look nice. If I could send her home and not have to pay extra staff wages for no reason, that'd be fantastic, too!

Problem: My Chefs will Spawn at the Restaurant and stay for a few seconds, then disappear. As a result, Sims don't get their food delivered. It is only happening at 1 restaurant. All the other restaurants, at least 1 Chef will stay and cook. I deleted the restaurant, reinstalled it and it still occurs, unless I remove the MOD. Then it works perfectly. But I really love this Mod and I want to keep it. Are there any workarounds. The restaurant is owned by an NPC, so it isn't a Sim owned restaurant, however I do have 1 sim owned restaurant and the MOD works perfectly with that one.

I first saw Dine Out Reloaded on James Turner YT and I had to get it! Then while I was watching the stream with him and Dr. Gluon I heard that there was another version with fixes and extra things and it blew me away! I just got the new one and am excited to get going with it.

Hi! Is it possible you've used moveobjects on near or on these tables? The only time I have seen this particular behavior is when a player has placed tables too close to something or not provided adequate room. Moveobjects is seriously the biggest problem for things like this. If not, you can come on discord and talk to us about the problem https://discord.gg/wR2zHpZg -- bear in mind if you didn't build the lot and someone else did (gallery) it could still use moveobjects.

Hi again, maybe a good idea would be to set up an option to manually make the customers leave. Maybe at any point the active desires but more often than not, when theyve finished eating. Ive lost so many 4 star customers reviews bc I have to move send sims to work and stuff but nothing triggers the customers to leave after eating. Thank you again, the mod overall has been such a joy!

I am having so much fun with this mod, and you have done an absolutely amazing job, Carl! However, after downloading version 3.2 I have an issue where the waiter will make the animation as if they´re serving the food, but the food isn´t showing up on the table. The customers act like they haven´t gotten the food, but their order is gone from the system, and so I can´t really do anything but wait until they get upset and leave. Do other people experience the same problem? Do you guys have any ideas how to fix it? Thank you in advance. :)

I'm not sure what you mean by order, but you have to download the most recent version of the mod. And if you are talking about his mod(this one in particular) if you are not a member, you should just download v3.1

Hey! This mod truly revamped the heck out of dine out! Thank you for your hard work! My only q is how can I get the customers to leave faster after they finish eating? I have the “eat as normal” turned on and when i notice enough customers done, I exit out of the chef event (if that was something) and still it takes a really long time for them to leave. Idk if its a bug or me but please lmk. Thanks again!
