Traveling Magic Caravan
🕑 Added 2020-10-04 22:51:00 +0000 UTCHi folks! This time we made the "Traveling Magic Caravan" (23x18), a simple map for some classic D&D 5e campaing like "Curse of Strahd".
A group of travellers whose magic caravan sometimes appears in surprising places. Strange phenomena accompanying their appearance.
Who travels in these caravans? Why can you see a strange ball of light and hear strange music after dark around the camp?
Maybe you are missing a map for adventures in the land of fogs ruled by a powerful vampire? This map should be perfect!
"Traveling Magic Caravan"[23x18] has 13 map variants (plus grid, no-grid, JPG, PNG and PDF versions) and 73 assets (ready for Roll20, Foundry or your favourite VTT platform).
At the end of the world, where the only sounds are your breathing and the sound of trees, you suddenly hear merry laughter and conversation.
You could have sworn it was a week's journey from the last settlement, and you had left the main trail behind a few days before.
The lights of the lamps illuminate the immediate surroundings and the sound of the lute, chanting, and creaking wheels also reaches you from behind. Whoever made it to this godforsaken place?
- Hey, look, another one! - carts of all sizes and colors, from rotten green to bright red, began to emerge from behind the trees.
Is this some kind of mistake, or did the hallucinations start from lack of food and water? After the last battle with the goblins and the attack of the wild animals in which your horse died, there was nothing left but to light the last campfire and wait for death.
- Fear not traveler, you've picked a great place! - the first of the carts reached the height of your encampment, and a smiling man jumped down just beside you.
You watched as more carts with equally happy people surrounded your resting place and quickly filled the clearing with the sounds of instruments and the smell of food. Your empty stomach immediately grumbled pleadingly, and your new companion seeing your tired face immediately handed you a calf leg still warm and dripping with fat.
- My friend, you have wandered far from the trail, especially with such modest equipment! But now rest, drink and enjoy yourself until morning. We all have stories we're happy to share! - and with these words, he disappeared somewhere into a tent that appeared out of nowhere, just like the whole bunch.
Time passed and the alcohol, warm meal and exhaustion quickly drained your strength and when someone offered you a quieter corner you immediately settled down comfortably to sleep.
The next morning you no longer saw the clearing, the forest, or the trail you traveled not so long ago.
They have been replaced by decent roads and brick houses that you might have associated with the beginning of your journey - this is one of the towns not far from your home!
You looked for someone to thank and ask how you got out of the forest so quickly, but there was not a soul around. Everyone seemed to have scattered to a stop and you were left alone among your own.
However, when you got down from the cart to look for someone and returned to the same place after a few minutes, there was no sign of the carts, and the inhabitants who emerged from their houses claimed that no one had passed through.
This map will also be available in a dynamic lighting version prepared especially for Foundry VTT for Patrons with tiers $10 and $20!
