A castle built on the skeleton of the ancient beast - white bones still sticking out of the ground are disturbing and adding a feeling of terror to this already scary image.
The smell of the gas escaping from the lower part of the building fills the air and the poisonous cloud is visible in the canyon below.
This area is filled with traps for sure, so even when the danger is not visible it doesn’t mean it’s not there. Of course, we cannot be sure what’s inside the building surrounding the castle. Civilians? Or maybe only what’s left from them? Be careful, if the necromancer is still there we might face horrendous monsters and creations taken straight from the worst nightmares.
The lanterns burn with the greenish light, and the valley to the gates looks… inviting.
But maybe there’s another way into the castle?
Every ruler has a set of hidden tunnels scattered across the nearby city, so if we search for a bit maybe we would be able to find one.
When we were talking none of us heard the movement on the top of the walls. Loud spring caught our attention and we saw a huge arrow heading our position. We were able to jump away, but we knew we have to move fast if we want to make it out alive.
The gates have opened and the group of soldiers in black armour started to scout the area and look for us. From the distance, I saw that their helmets are emitting the same green mist as the castle. Animated armours? Maybe, but it's still too risky to check. The hunter sent his hawk with the message to our friends who will be able to help us, but for a few hours, we are left on our own.
Who knows what horrors are happening right now inside?
If someone from this city is alive, we should hurry - necromancers are not very patient with their prey.
