Ship Aground
🕑 Added 2019-08-10 13:59:15 +0000 UTC"Ship Aground" [30x30] has 2 map variants (plus grid, no-grid, JPG, PNG and PDF versions, ready for Roll20, Foundry or your favourite VTT platform)
The team moves into the woods. Suddenly they see a huge ship in front of me stuck in the middle of the river. What happened exactly? Is there a crew on board? Why did such a ship get here? Thousands of questions appear in the players' heads ...
As usual, I have several versions of the same map for you - the night version (with fog), the version with and without the grid. This map is ideal for adventure with horror elements :)

The team moves in the woods. Suddenly they see a huge ship, stuck on the shore. After a minute a few barrels are dropped on the sand and the crew comes out into the sun. They hold swords and guns, but they look like they are waiting for something.
In a moment the trapdoor in the deck opens and half-orc, wearing captain’s insignia, leads men and women of all races in the chains.
“C’mon you scrubs, move! I don’t have all day! You know what happens when you slack!”
And as he was shouting he pulled the chains to make them go faster. At the same time the crew was dropping gangplanks on the sand.
“Aight, I was collecting all your ugly faces for a reason. You see this?”
He pointed on his huge, greyish finger. Something was shining on it, but from the distance it’s hard to tell what he was holding.
“This, lads and gents, helps me and my crew stay healthy and strong, but it comes with a… price. I’ve discovered that the cost of a life is another life and you have this luck to help me and my friends!”
As he spoke he went closer to the barrels, dropped before, and when he kicked one of them the rusty weapons scattered on the ground.
“You have a choice. Half of you must die, but we are not cruel! We are not going to kill you like a bunch of sheeps. We will let you fight for your freedom. If you stay alive to the time when half of this group dies - congratulations, you are free. And if you do extremely well in the eyes of my people, who knows - maybe you will be able to join? Being a part of the Ulrick Strong Hand’s crew is an honor and I guarantee, you’ll see all the oceans and piles of treasures not meant for a mortal.”
One-click of the padlock and all the chains drops. The prisoners looked around, scared and confused, but those who were more desperate jumped to the blades in the sand.
“What are you waiting for? Let the hunt begin!”
