Development update #12 (About v0.22)
🕑 Added 2023-04-20 11:29:21 +0000 UTC(Due to almost all of the morning scene being Riley, I don't have all that many pictures from this update which aren't her yet, so here's the one of Sasha in a dress for the new tier. Info below.
Sup, so I figured I'd do an update because there are a few things that have happened that I've talked about in discord, but not everyone here is active in discord, so I'm gonna sum them up here.
Firstly, I finally finished the morning scene, so we're back in business. I think I need another week before I might be able to start thinking about an ETA, but I guess you guys are used to that by now. I swear it's not intentional, I'm just not really in a position to give firm estimates without having to make quality or quantity sacrifices to keep to them at the moment.
Anyway, new shit coming in 0.22. 4 dumb quality of life features. Worry not, they didn't take too long, I'm mostly just showing them off to prove I'm not dead, since I'm not exactly the weekly update type on patreon.
Firstly, we have something simple. When a girl sends you a photo, or you otherwise end up with one on your phone (Excluding the onion images), you can now set it as your phone background. This doesn't really matter, but you can do it if you want. Hell, if you end up showing your phone to one of the girls, they may even react to your background. (Though if they do, it'll likely be dialogue only. I'm not letting anyone get their playthrough messed up by this.
Secondly, there's now an indicator in the profile screen that tells you what your relationship with a girl is. This is generally helpful for those who are more about the destination than the journey, as the actual logic behind it is based on what route you're on. So in this example, it says Riley is your girlfriend. This would indicate you're on her romance route. More on routes closer to the time of the update, but generally at this point in the game, whatever choices you've made up to this point will have either not lead you to a route let, or they'll have lead you to a route with similar stuff.
3rd thing. In game walkthrough. Not much to say about it really. Highly requested feature. You can enable it in the settings menu, and then when you hover the mouse over certain menu items, it'll tell you how it affects your relationship with the girl, and sometimes it'll also tell you what scenes it leads to in the near future. It may also tell you any other info I decide to throw in.
And finally... The gallery is getting a filter feature. You can filter it by the characters that appear in the scene, as well as the general content. Doesn't matter so much right now, but by the time this is done, this'll be an essential feature, so I decided to put it in now. Annoyingly due to Patreon being a very strange platform, I can't actually share a video of it in action, so you'll just have to either trust me that it works, or come to the discord server, where there is a video. For now, you get the picture above
Anyway, that's it for dev stuff for the moment. Like I said, the massive morning scene is done, so I'm on to the rest of the update now. The whole morning scene ended up being about 1300 renders and and 80 animations, but you'll only see a max of about 500 of those renders on one save. Such is life. Anyway anyway, will update when I have a better idea of when the update may be coming out. Apologies for the delay, you know how it goes I guess at this point.
The only other thing I'll mention is that I've introduced a new support tier. It's basically the professor tier, except it brings back custom renders. They became a bit too much to handle as since the branching of the story started, I generally have less time now. So in an effort to combat that, I've put it in a new more expesive tier. Hopefully you understand. If you're an existing Professor and are still waiting on a render, PM me either here or Discord.
That really is about if for the moment. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week :D
