Development update #6 (About 0.2)
🕑 Added 2022-09-25 06:34:19 +0000 UTCSup nerds,
I figured I'd do an update since we're getting close to the end of September, and I don't like the idea of not telling you guys anything for a whole month. I'm working away at 0.2, as always. No snags so far, maybe a bit of writers block here and there, but that's easy enough to deal with. This is an interesting update to write because I have a bunch more characters to work with now, and whilst I have their scenes planned out, this is where it starts to get a bit more complicated from a dev perspective.
As you may know, the game was originally meant to expand into a sandbox type game. I decided a few months ago to scrap that and replace it with a branching story, since I think that will suit what I have planned better. This update will be the one where the branching actually starts. There's been some choices in previous updates which affect things (Mostly the ones surrounding Cassie) but yeah, this one is where it starts. With that in mind, I'll probably be starting to release guides of some sort with 0.2 (Patron exclusive, but I imagine they'll be shared. That's fine imo.)
Anyway, back to the update..
I have a specific list of scenes I want to get done for this update, and I'm working through them. I'm not sure how long it'll take me to complete all the scenes, so I don't really have a specific ETA for this update being released, but I'm aiming for maybe the end of October. Hopefully sooner, but you know how it goes. Life and stuff.
Still, I'm enjoying working on the game, and surprisingly, I'm enjoying making the custom renders for the professors too (People have more imagination than I expected.)
The pic I put up top isn't actually part of the game, it's just some bs I threw together quick because twitter said it was red head appreciation day or something. Marketing, y'know? Might make it an onion pic at some point, but only after enough time has passed that you've all forgotten about it ;)
Anyway, thanks for sticking with me. I planned to release the discord at the same time as the 0.2 release, but I'm thinking I might do it a little earlier. Not sure yet. If discord is your thing, stay tuned for that. I love talking about this project, so I'm really not sure why I haven't set it up yet.
Thanks for reading, and stay safe in these crazy times.
