In this tutorial, I’ll be exploring the recent update to the Flow3D component, a real-time fluid and smoke simulation tool for TouchDesigner. This update focuses on enhancing the accuracy of fluid and smoke dynamics and introduces several new features:
>Improved Simulation Accuracy: Enhancing the realism of fluid and smoke
>behavior. Additional Controls: Offering more flexibility to fine-tune simulations.
>Particle Advection System: Integrating particles directly into the simulation.
>Real-time Obstacle Interaction: Enabling dynamic interactions with objects.
This component opens up new opportunities for crafting unique visuals and interactive installations.
Accessing the Example Project: If you’re interested in the example project file, it’s available for patrons of Josef Plez only. Since the project file includes the T3D Toolkit , you’ll need to ensure it’s installed through Josef’s Patreon. The example project file is for the Flow3D but it contains T3D operators so I can only share it with Josef Plez’s patrons. If you are subscribed to Josef also send me a direct message so i can confirm it.

I just noticed that if I reset the Flow3D component while I have a noise top plugged into the "inject position" input in the component it drops my projects FPS significantly. I noticed that I need to delete the component and drag it back in to get my framerate back. Bug?
