Two sturdy oaks I mean, which side by side,
Withstand the winter’s storm,
And spite of wind and tide,
Grow up the meadow’s pride,
For both are strong.
.
Above they barely touch, but undermined
Down to their deepest source,
Admiring you shall find
Their roots are intertwined
Insep’rably.

PHOTO: Another time Erin visited my studio with her friend, Devon. They were both such a delight to work with. We put on some music and they danced freeform, flowing from shape to shape. They’d keep on going until invariably they’d reach some awkward pretzely position and burst out laughing. Then they’d pull themselves together and go again, melting into beautiful shapes across my floor.
